I was not disappointed on staying at this hotel (pronounced as 4 Hoi) and had a pleasant surprise. Pho Hoi Riverside Resort is located on Cam Nam Island on the main river just beside the bridge from the old town. It offers a great unobstructed view of the river and fishing boats from their 3rd storey room balcony, panning from the bridge to the east end of the old town. The all wooden big balcony is nicely furnished with a table and chair for 3 seating. It has a colonial style setting with a well-maintained garden surrounding, fish ponds and a sparkling swimming pool. I was given a free upgrade from their superior room to a villa room on the 3rd storey. The room facing the river is quiet, has a woody setting, and in the morning I was pleasantly awoken by birds chirping around the garden. This hotel must have been spruced up after receiving poor reviews on its building condition. It is just a 5 minute walk to town from this hotel, across the Cam Nam bridge, to the town's main market. Another natural novelty is a push-cart sugarcane juice stall just across the bridge at the 1st cross road junction beside the market, every time I crosses this bridge I would buy 2 cups of freshly squeezed ice-cold sugarcane juice to quench my thirst under the hot weather. Buffet breakfast served was good and plentiful. All staffs are friendly and smiling, especially Truyen (pronounced as Twig) who gave me a thorough introduction to Hoi An with a free map; she even helped me when my tour bus did not show up, thank you Truyen. Phu is also friendly and eager to provide information on the town. I will choose this hotel again should I be in Hoi An. The only faults I found in my room are that the rain-shower mixer does not mix the hot and cold water, it only does either all hot or all cold; the bathroom has no hanger for towel and the Wi-Fi is weak on the higher floors.

This was by far the best hotel we have stayed In whist travelling through Vietnam. Staff are super friendly and will help you with your onward journey or arrange tours. The hotel is spotless. Location is 10 mins from the ancient city over the footbridge. Cam Nam is like a tiny village island, not so much of a choice of food around but there is quite a few little places to buy water, get your laundry done and hire bikes. Good breakfast with a wide choice of Western and Asian food (restaurant food is good too) Wifi is excellent. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The villa is located in Cam Nam Island which is about 10-15 mins walk from the Hoi An Town Ctr. Villa is very pretty indeed and we were given a 2-rooms villa for the 5 of us. Breakfast is pretty good where we were allowed to choose from the menu. Overall satisfied with this villa and would recommend it.

The host and his family welcomed us very warmly and gave us a bigger room with a pool view than we booked which was really nice. :) They made sure everything was perfect and that we were fully satisfied. Also, they provided bikes for free. Breakfast was very delicious, nice selection of juices and dishes. Great location - the hotel is situated in a quiet area with walking distance to Hoi An town approx. 10 min, few minutes by bike. Strongly recommended!

Agoda given location of the hotel was wrong. Other than the fact that it took me 20 mins to find this place, everything else were great.

Incredible but thrue. A homestay with the quality's of a 4,5 star hotel. In new buildings, well maintained and clean, great and big rooms : high standard and comfort. Large bed. Beatiful swimming pool in a little garden. Breakfast à la carte : you choose the day before : so no restrictions. High quality of the food. Very reasonable prices for minibar in the room (for ex. 20.000 vnd for a beer=0.8 €), lunch and dinner. Kiet (the owner) is very good in organizing transport and trips (we visited My Son) at low prices. One minor remark: the location : about 3 km from the center of Hoi An. And for the first time not so easy to find. The best you can do is let Kiet organise your transport from the airport (or where-ever) to the homestay. Once there, you can use bikes for free. We did this and found it great. Great service, we always felt welcome, got answers for all our questions. Thanks Kiet and family (do not forget to thank your sister also) for a marvelous stay; and of course the invitation for your son's birthdayparty : we enjoyed !

Rural Scene is out of the old city of Hoi An on Cam Nam island which makes it a fantastic place to be if you love peaceful days and quiet evenings. It was such a pleasant experience to stay there. The old city is completely packed with tourists and not relaxing at all. Lovely Sol welcomed me and gave me a map to the city, lent me a bicycle and lock and was always ready to help. The room is spacious, immaculately clean, had two balconies and a bathtub, quite a bargain for the low price. The breakfast I had was delicious. The view is over treetops in the area. It's very quiet and the pool was also relaxing. I loved riding my bicycle through this part of Hoi An, getting My Quang on the street and seeing the local people. I highly recommend staying here if you like some natural beauty and a more authentic local experience than much of touristy Hoi An.

The highlight of our 3 week holiday in Vietnam. Amazing staff, great location, very quiet and away from the busy streets. My wife and I and two boys aged 7 & 14 loved this place. Short walk into town over the bridge. Swimming pool made it the perfect place to stay. Best omelette I’ve had in my life for breakfast each day. We initially booked for 2 days but immediately booked for another 2 straight after we checked in. Loved the outside shower and bath (still under cover). Highly recommend. this place. Enjoy.

The best place I stayed in Vietnam. If your looking for a cute boutique hotel you're going to be hard pressed to do any better then this. Very nice rooms. Highly recommend the rooms with a river view. Very picturesque. Pleasant pool and well as lawn and pond to sit outside and catch some sun. The staff was exceptionally friendly. It felt like you were staying in there home. This place is the best. Short walk to the old town. It was actually nice to be a little bit away from the sometimes chaotic downtown.

We had an excellent time at Cam Nam Homestay. The family who run this homestay are extremely kind and help in whatever way possible. The location is a short 5 minute walk from the old town and they have bikes should you want to visit the nearby beaches, which we did often. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and fresh.

First to say, this hotel has wonderful location, you can reach the hotel by few steps from walking street by passing Cam Nam bridge. Secondly, rooms are spacious even we booked the most budgeted rooms - standard rooms without windows. Rooms are large and each of them HAS bath tub which I like a lot. Above all, my room which checkin later is the last room of hotel, and I think there is no one has stayed in that room for a while because there is annoyed smell (then they you oil to overcome it later), there isn’t anything in the mini-fridge, the housekeeping woman bring mini-bar after we received the room. Also, the front door is missing a piece of glass (that space was covered by short curtain), so apparently my room is not secured. The next thing is buffet breakfast. At 07:33, when we went to the restaurant, we barely see anything left. We have to look around, ask the waiters and wait about 10 mins for spoons, cups and glasses.

As soon as we got here, we knew we'd be staying longer than originally booked (we've been here 2 nights longer so far, and hope to stay for another 3!) It's conveniently located just 2 km from town, it is possible to walk to everything (or preferably use the free rental bikes (which have locks) to get there). The room is clean, modern, spacious, with a great balcony (with two chairs and table), a fridge, working flat screen TV (with a few English movie channels), a very comfortable bed and great A/C! The family who own the place are absolutely wonderful, very friendly and always happy to help (they even accommodated our (many) food allergies for the free breakfast included with our room!). The hotel is located in a quiet area at night and the pool is perfect for afternoon swims when it's hot out! For the price, this has been one of the nicest rooms we've had in our 3 months traveling in Asia. Book this place and you won't regret it!

We stood 3 nights and we added another night because we felt so Well here like we were home. The house is beautiful, clean and the people running the homestay is amazing. Of course a special call out to Nhi (sorry if i write it incorrect): she is the BEST. She treated us like a part of the family, she was so helpful and always with the smile. We loved this place and if we come back to hoi an we will definitely go back there. We recommend 100%. They have some bikes and motorbikes as well

Look no further than Windy River Homestay for your visit to Hoi An. It is only a 5-10 min walk to the old town, close enough that this is not a problem, but just far enough to escape the mad turmoil that is the tourist madhouse that it can become with the hundreds of tourists turning up every day. It is on the shores of the Island of Cam Nam in a local area with great local restaurants just a minute or 2 down the road which have great local food. Beleive me there is nothing nicer than sitting on their garden terrace having a coffee or beer with a cooling breeze coming off the river to finish a hectic day doing the tours around Hoi An. Originally only booked for 4 nights and liked it so much ended up staying a week. You cant ask for a nicer place or hosts 1 downside: you will find you relax so much that it will be hard to leave and continue your journey

Amazing staff so helpful , hotel is about 1 mile off city center but hotel borrowed free bike, breakfast is tradicional (Cao lay) and delicious, room clear and brand new hotel!!

The owner is extremely nice and always has a smile. Her whole family is welcoming. The rooms were clean and a great size. The bikes were perfect to ride over the bridge and walk around if you wanted as the bikes can lock. The one bike got a flat and she gave us another one no problem, still with a smile. Breakfast was also delicious. Amazing pho! Thank you Blue River Villa!

we staid at hop Y homes at for three nights and our stay was just amazing. The hotel is run by a beautiful family always keen to help you and have fun with you. We even had a party night with them.. Singing and and playing guitar. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is just 1 minute walking from the old town. If you are looking for a good place to stay and if you like sharing time with locals.. This is the perfect place! Highly recommend!!

Walk 5 minutes to Hoi An Market or 10 minutes to Old town Center . More cheap Restaurant & coffee shop Around . Mrs Quynh Anh Owner very helpul, frendly, funny. Her show me everthing about Hoi An . I will comback .

We enjoyed our stay so much we extended. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free bicycle rentals and a moto rental for a cheap price. The room was clean, airy, and comfy. The view of the River added a nice touch. There was one thing that was incorrect on Agoda which was the location of the hotel. Otherwise, I recommend this place to stay at during your travel in Hoi An.

I would recommend this hotel to others because this hotel is quite new, and they need more customer to have better service (and if you are not afraid of walking since it's not near to Ancient district). The hotel did not have many people to stay so the staff was not usually at the counter to assist customers. On the day we arrived, we came at 9pm and there was absolutely no one in the hotel to ask. We had to go out and asked the bartender at the entrance to call the receptionist back to duty. Lighting condition at the reception during the night was very dim. Location is not so good because it's not near to the center of Hoi An. However, it's nearer to some places selling cuisine in Cam Nam so you can try in that side. The staff is not so friendly, but the architect of the place is nice.

I had a fantastic three-night stay at Viet's Family River Homestay. The family that runs the homestay is incredibly hospitable and helpful, and the rooms are large, modern, and airy. The bed was probably the most comfortable one I slept on during my two-week Vietnam trip. The building itself is located about 1.5km from the Ancient Town, on quiet Cam Nam Island. The front balcony overlooks the river – it's a calm and relaxing place to read a book. The homestay offers free bike rentals, so it's easy to get into town, and the location feels much more authentic than the heart of the town. While walking home one night, for instance, some locals invited me to join them to sing karaoke. I also rented a motorbike through the homestay, and arranged an airport transfer, both of which were good value. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful 3 nights at Bonsai Homestay and would recommend anyone traveling to Hoi An to consider booking a room with them. The room was nice, the shower hot, and the bed was much more comfortable than I found in other lodging including more expensive hotels I stayed in other cities along the way. The family is very helpful and arranged a private car for a tour and return to airport as well as supplying bikes to ride to the beach and surrounding areas. They even got up at 330 in the morning to prepare us a breakfast to take with us to the airport for a poorly planned 6 AM flight. The grounds are peaceful and a very reasonable walk to the historic area (and a very close bike ride).

We booked to stay in Thu Bon Riverside for 2 days but it was so amazing that we decided to extended our stay! The room was very spacious with a huge balcony facing the river! The scenery was perfect and romantic! The family that owns the Homestay is very welcome, always smiling and willing to help you with everything!! They also cook amazing breakfast!! Close to Hoi An ancient town and in a calm neighbourhood! Highlight the road by the river from the hotel to the city centre! Highly recommend! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

i like the room with balcony with nice sunset view. nice decorative hotel with small pool. Location wise not close to ancient town. but hotel provide free bike which take us 10 mins reach the town. Nice breakfast but hope the choice of breakfast can change daily. It almost same food serve for breakfast (we stay 3nights) Nice and friendly front desk lady who provides us tons of information, we book the bike tour from hotel and it was amazing experience to see the local people, local culture, arts, and food.

Family run..a little far off from hustle and bustle...Ni and her husband are super hosts..they go above and beyond to help the travellers..stay is comfortable with good bedding, spacious rooms, a small backyard retreat where you can enjoy your breakfast or read a book..Ni arranged our transportation to old town and also our return to the airport with her brother's car, shared coffee making tips with us and also her breakfast pancakes are awesome and filling...she also walked us to a nearby store to help us buy some vietnamese stuff..I wish we could have stayed more in Ni's house..:-)

The family was so helpful, they make a very good breakfast and give bycicles for free. It’s so close with bike to the old town. The family helps us to book a tour to the My son and the day after the bus to Hue, and it was cheaper than on the internet what i find. They are so lovely and correct and helpful, kind people. I totally recommand!

We stayed for 3 nights, 1 more than originally planned. The room was a standard double, very clean, big room, toiletries included. Staff very helpful, sorted us an extra night and a night bus. It’s a 5 minute walk from old town, nice and quiet area. Always somebody there to help you if needed. Very good stay, would stay here again if we were in the area. Only improvement would be maybe some cups and kettles in the room, and sometimes the shower ran out of hot water, but all in all, we couldn’t complain about anything else. :)

We had a motorbike already so the location wasn't bad for us but we did decide to walk one day and the town is about half hour/45 minutes. Otherwise everything here was perfect! The bed was massive and soft, the aircon was a godsend and the staff were so cute! They had translation cards for ordering! Breakfast was ordered the night before and ready for you to come down to! Cannot recommend this place enough ❤️

Cam Nam is a great place to stay, just 5 mins from the busy ancient old town of Hoi An. The host was very friendly and helpful to give good suggestion for local food. The room is very clean and with some local touch. Quite and peaceful garden by riverside for a good relax after a long traveling day. Would recommend Cam Nam for friends when they're in Hoi An.

We had a great stay at the Quin Riverside Villa. The rooms are spacious, clean, and feel very new. They facilities including a great free breakfast and a wonderful pool are refreshing and relaxing. The staff really make the hotel, though. They made us feel welcome and comfortable at every occasion including surprising me with cake on my birthday!
