Very enjoyable time”
The owners are very accommodating and friendly. My room was clean, the AC worked great and even had an ion-filter. You can ask the owner everything and even ask them to do your laundry for cheap 30b/kg. You can rent a scooter there, too. The location is perfect to explore Kanchanaburi. It is literally a stone throw away from the bus station, where you can catch the bus to Erawan national park. (Which is definitely worth a visit). There is a little night market close to the bus station as well, with excellent ducknoodlesoup. So I would recommend the Canaan Guesthouse!

Nice overnight stay in Kanchanaburi”
Canaan Guesthouse and Homestay is the best place I am staying during my visit in Chiang Mai and Kanchanaburi. It's rate is very affordable compared to its room and bathroom condition. The location is very close to the bus and van station makes me easier to travel to other places in Thailand. They also offering laundry at reasonable price. The only drawback is limited food varieties, but it is not really a big problem.

We stayed in Kanchanaburi for 3 days as an alternative to doing a rushed group tour from Bangkok to Tiger Temple, and it was the best decision of the holiday- everything is much cheaper in Kanchanaburi and people seem more trustworthy. We arranged all our trips from the Canaan Guesthouse- hugely cheaper than Bangkok and there was nothing cheaper in the town. The lady spoke great English and was incredibly helpful in arranging things, to the extent that she booked us a trip to Elephant World even though it wasn't on their menu. (Elephant world is incredible by the way). And she helped us get the overnight train to the islands and dropped us off at the bus stop. The room was a double with air con and en suite, and was £7. For the price you could not expect any better- clean, quiet, good wifi. We only ate breakfasts there- she does a mean egg on toast.

A Well-Run Quiet Place”
I stayed at the Canaan for 3 nights. I had a single, AC with its own bathroom and shower. The staff keep the place very clean and provide free towels. The wifi service was good. The breakfasts and dinners served at the Canaan are rather good for such a small kitchen. The woman managing the place provided lots of information and help arranging tours to local attractions, like Hellfire Gap, the Kwai River Bridge and local waterfalls. But the main attraction of the Canaan is its back street location, which makes it a quiet place to stay, though it's a twenty minute walk to the bar street, if you decide you want to party. I had an enjoyable stay.

The guesthouse located at residential neighbor - quiet and relaxing. Distance far to Kanchanaburi Train Station, River Kwai Bridge and pubs street however .... backpacker should walk more to see more ..... Very good location just behind the bus station. Next road bus station is food street hence there no problem to get local delight ... next to old town ...

Location priority”
If your priority is to get moving around easily, to and from Kanchanaburi, then all arrivals and departures by bus are from the bus station, and Canaan is about a 2 minute walk there. On the other hand, if you would rather stay closer to the bars, restaurants and lively location, then Canaan is not the best option because you will need a TukTuk or Mototaxi to go there and get something nice to eat. The lady who owns Canaan Guesthouse is wonderful and speaks a little english and that helps a lot!!!

Good for escaping from the city.”
We decided to go to Kanchanaburi to escape from Bangkok. Canaan guesthouse helped us to make our escape very comfortably!! it located very near to bus station. We arrived in Kanchanaburi quite late, so it was very convenience and feel much helpful for our exhausted body!! Only cold water shower, but its okay for our adventure trip around the world;)

Canaan was a great base for us as it was so close to the bus station, places we wanted to visit were a bike ride away and the staff were really nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, with good air con and WiFi. We extended our stay here as we liked it so much and checked out more of what Kanchanaburi has going on.

Clean, close to the bus station”
The guesthouse is located 100 meters from the bus station in Kanchanaburi. It's perfect for catching an early bus to Erawan Waterfalls. I recommend to take an early one (e.g. 8AM) in order to avoid a lot of tourists at the waterfalls. The owner is very friendly - she showed us the map of Kanchanaburi and marked worth seeing places + wrote down the Erawan buses' timetable. Room was very simple, but had air conditioning and bathroom. Totally recommend this place :)

Excellent”
It was a very nice stay at Canaan Guesthouse. It's basic but clean and you get what you pay for. Bed is comfortable and the Air Con went very well. Owner is friendly and rent bicycle and scooter too. The location is very nice as the bus Station, food stands and the night market is not far away.

Clean and cheap room in a good location”
If you are looking for a cheap and clean room in the center of Kanchanaburi we would recommend Canaan guesthouse. The location is very convenient, the bus station is around the corner and you'll find a lot of cheap food at the night food market 5 minutes away by walking. There is a small outside sitting area where you meet other travelers. Sadly the woman at the reception wasn't really friendly to us and other people, but if you need to know something, she knows a lot about the area. The rooms are small and dark, but clean and provide a hot/cold shower and the possibility to get the remote for the A/C for an extra charge of 100THB per night. All in all it's a good value for the money.

Nice guesthouse, especially for bus station.”
We enjoyed our stay here, it is great value for money and in a location ideal for the bus station. This was helpful for our trip to Erawan falls but we couldn't find a vegetarian restaurant nearby so found ourselves eating over the travellers zone on kwai road which is about a 25min walk away. This doesn't detract from the quality of the guesthouse as it is nice, clean and great value, but it is worth considering, especially if you don't plan to use the bus station at all.

Nice wee hostel”
Canaan Guesthouse absolutely did the trick. Right beside the bus station it is pretty easy to get to, yet is tucked away from the bustle of the main street. The facilities are pretty basic but as described online and the landlady goes out of her way to make sure you get the most out of your stay.

Great location, friendly staff, great value”
Some people might be put off when they see the location right behind the bus terminal but actually it's a really quiet area back there and there are only locals except for this guesthouse. We still can't get over the great location as it was only a 2 min walk to the bus to the erawan waterfalls and our bus south. Also, there was a big local food market for breakfast and dinner just behind the bus terminal which was super cheap with great food and surprisingly no other tourists around. The owner was a really nice lady, simply a great, helpful host! The wifi worked great, everything was super clean and nicely decorated. We would go back there anytime.

Great place and really handy for bus station”
This is a great little guesthouse that is very close the main bus station - about three minutes walk. We arrived at about 10:30pm and the lady met us and showed us to our room - we had pre-booked chose their best one. The room was small but adequate with a shower/toilet room to the back. Would definitely use the place again. We were gone by 8am to get the bus to Sangkhlaburi.
