Second stay at Casa Del Rio”
Our second stay here. First was Lago room, this time we booked the River view. River as expected was murky and brown, but we already expected that as Melaka river has never been clean, but the music was entertaining however the town council plays it until 1am. If you close your sliding doors, you cannot hear it so that is fine, but if you want to hang out on the balcony, you will have to enjoy the music which comes on in the late evening. First room assigned had strong cigarette smell from previous guests smoking to high heaven as the odour was everywhere. They offered an ionizer but we opted to changed rooms. Second room was great. Our room was under the swimming pool above, there is a sound in the day time like water moving. Did not bother us bcos it sounds like a water feature which is turned off later at night, so no sleep disturbance sound wise. Staff Fatin was very helpful during check in and extremely accommodating. She answered all our questions and gave us thorough explanations about the hotel room set up as we enquired about the other room categories too. The Lago is beautiful and well maintained. The hotel overall is well built and kept well. Our only disappointment is that they provide coffee, tea and sugar in the room, but no creamer. For a hotel of this standard, I think a basic thing like creamer packets is a must. Called to enquire and was just told that they do not have it. Nothing else was offered as a substitute either. So this, we feel has to improve for the amount of $ paid. Bathroom amenities could also be improved as hotels that usually charge this price in KL and around the world provide a lot more in terms of quality and type of amenities. The average Malaysian may not be as particular, and we aren't too, but just want to comment that for the prices charged, this is something a hotel at this level shld look into. For example, to add a shaver which does not cost much at all, and better quality shampoo and body wash. Break

Reminiscence ”
Lovely hotel...Although looking a little run down after the past 2 years ,it was clean and spotless.The rooms were excellent and comfortable. But the stars of the establishment were certainly the staff ..from the security guard at parking to staff at reception and at the restaurant. The menu at the restaurant although limited, was out matched by the amazing talented chefs..nothing was too difficult too for them to muster up.. especially for guests with allergies.To me that's the hallmark of expertise . Thank for a lovely stay.Warms my heart to know we still have such good home grown facilities and talent

We were very happy to have chosen the Casa del Rio. The hotel’s location is excellent, a stone’s throw away from Jonker Street, and yet we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the river. The scenery was lovely and rooms very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help us when my husband left his airpods in the room. We definitely will want to go back to Casa del Rio on our next trip to Malacca. Thank you very much!

6-7 Oct was our first time staying at Casa del Rio. The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were impressed with how personal and welcoming the reception was. We were directed to relax at the gazebo next to the reception while they processed our bookings. We were given cold towels and ginger sorbet to freshen ourselves after the long drive. The room is a luxury filled with really huge bath tub (and separate shower) with intricate details such as a small rubber duckie, bath salts. Even the moisturizer are made of herbs. Turn down is at 6pm. The friendly housekeepers lighted a candles at the balcony and aromatherapy diffuser in the room. Although there were reviews that mentioned mosquitoes, we didn't face any problems probably due to the repellents. Breakfast was simple, ala-carte eggs (pick one style of cooking only) plus a buffet line of congee, nasi lemak, salads, breads, pizza, teh-tarik, sorbet...to name a few. Lastly, the carpark is safe 'cos there are securities. We'll be back!

Best hotel in Malacca!”
We stayed 2 nights in Jun 2022. Location is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room is very clean and nice. I am impressed that the floor dont have the sticky feel when you step on it. Kudos this to the housekeeping staff! Infinity pool at level 3 is awesome and we have a great time there. Overall, our stay is very relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel!

Check-in was per SOP....and loved the welcome desserts ... the staff were friendly and helpful...we were there early but the room was already prepared for us...so efficient.. Loved everything about this hotel as its located right beside the river.. that's why the hotel was named Casa Del Rio which means home by the river... The room and the bathroom was spacious..love the interior...and the rooftop pool is overlooking the river and Bandar Hilir...At night we took the river cruise from the hotel. Jonker Walk was only about 200 meter from the hotel...we took the beca ride around Bandar Hilir and they send us straight back to the hotel...how convenient.. Location wise it was perfect and near to almost everything..I fully recommend those who wants to stay in Melaka in the near future..

Amazing feeling ”
booked a week b4 goin since its a MCO period and never regret the feeling ever.. it was amazing from the start, check in was smooth with a nice lemon sorbet of welcome drinks. our room was facing garden and it is very huge all was included - big bath tub connecting with wardrobe. 1 of the most cherish things thru out our stay was the king bed. the infinity pool was ok bcoz the hotel was less people by that time. but during peak seasons i believed it will be quite crowded. the breakfast somehow was less varieties but still ok since the hotel tried hard to providing the best service even has to follow strict SOP due to the Covid. overall was excellent for me & fmly we will surely come back.

You will comprehend e meaning of holiday with this hotel. We’re treated well from checking in. Luggage was handled. We just have to sit down and enjoy some sorbet. Shuttle service was a bonus to get to e nearest mall. Rooms were huge and clean. Bigger bottles of toiletries are recommending though. Breakfast was great. Location is 5 star as its a walking distance to every attraction. Will return❤️

I really enjoy my stay in this hotel! Highly recommend! Food, room, staff, location, cleanliness, facilities, everything is just perfect for me. Staff have good attitude and always willing helping us. Location wise, it superb near to Jonker street, and I do not need stuck in jam or find parking. Once I stepped into the room, I was amazed by its size. It was huge. The bathtub was so so good and big. Very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was great. Everything was delicious. I chose riverview, and it was a good scenery. The location was superb. Staff were friendly. Highly recommended.

Checking in/out was a breeze. Breathtaking view for a 3 storey building. Room is is actually bigger and spacious than i thought if based on picture if not looking at sqft, also very clean. We had 2 lovely nights at Casa del Rio, it was the loveliest hotel, staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful!! We could not fault it! The facilities are beautiful, the reception overlooking the courtyard pool is just beautiful, the gardens filled with pink and red bougainvilleas are just stunning. Around 7pm each night, housekeeping comes in to light a tea candle in our room, and one on the balcony...so lovely!! Thank you very much! Next time, we will be staying longer!

It's a great experienced. We enjoyed our short holiday in every second because the staff were so helpful, the hotel was neat and clean, so vintage and I loved it so much, 2-3 mins walking distance to the food street (there are so many choices) and the restaurant itself has a tasty breakfast. Fantastic staff. Nana, Kamalrul and Tofazzal went all out to make sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Very very appreciative of how forthcoming and approachable the staff are. A few minutes walk to Jonker Street, in the midst of the bustle and main tourist area. We will definitely recommend the hotel and visit again.

Best place to stay in Melaka!”
I've stayed at this property twice and it is my default place to stay whenever I am in Melaka. The location is just AWESOME! Only a stone's throw from the main Jonker street and easy road access to other parts of Melaka. The parking is within the hotel premises with ample security should you be driving. The staff are all very hospitable and truly service with a smile. The rooftop infinity pool is great and the rooms are rather lavish with a nice balcony to relax at.

1. Check-in was efficient and fast with by friendly staff. 2. Big room and nice verandah overlooking the river; big toilet as well. However, it could do with an additional mirror on the wall near the table. 3. Breakfast was good. 4. Very good location near the Hard Rock Cafe and Jonker Walk. We had a great time!! 5. One sore point though; on the last day, the guests from the room next door smoked at the verandah forcing us to be indoors. Should not allowed smoking in the whole building!!

All staff and facilities are so so good. But the problem is the hotel faces the Melaka river. When the night will hear people karaoke and busking. We have made a report to the hotel, but the hotel needs to collect customer feedback to be taken to tourism Melaka. Hopefully adalah tindakan dari tourism Melaka... kalau karaoke sampai pukul 10 mlm it's fine... tapi ni sampai pukul 2 pagi...

Very nice hotel with a resort feel. Love the balcony that comes with every room. Bathroom is huge with a oversized bath tub and separate shower. Good water pressure and water temperature. Note that there are 2 steps in all their standard rooms coming from the entrance to the sleeping area, and you have to climb the steps if you’re going to the bathroom. Hope this is useful for those traveling with older folks or are mobility challenged.
