Perfect stay in Cat Ba”

Really nice family, booked everything through them - 3 nights stay, Lan Ha Bay day trip, motorbike for day, bus to Hanoi - all for under 1.5m Dong / €58. Free breakfast too, nice info sheet on the area also with things to do, where to eat, where the ATM’s are and beaches etc. One of the best home stays I’ve stayed with in Vietnam.

Dirty!”

We arrived to find a pleasant family run business but the room was filthy, soiled bed sheets, dirty walls, the lift did not work and had to climb 5 flights of stairs, the toilet and shower room/cupboard was inadequate, if you showered the floor to the entire room was soaked all night and morning. This is far below the standards we have experienced on our whole trip, we checked out the next morning after finding lovely accommodation 5 minutes up the road with functional facilities for only 50000 dong extra a night, a small price to pay for a lovely twin room a working TV shower room/cubicle and a lovely balcony. CALLED The Emerald. I would not recommend Cat Ba central hotel to my dog.

Lovely family runs the hotel and were so accommodating and friendly. Had many options for bookings and included a great breakfast! Would highly recommend.

The family running this hotel are SO nice. You can feel the good will and energy in everything they do for their guests. We took the room with no view and it was better than in the photos. Everything is clean, and the bed is confortable. Definitely will go back 😀

This place is great! We wanted to have a double room in a quiet place after staying in a party hostel in Hanoi, and we didn’t regret our choice! Easy to book tours and tickets, breakfast was included, the receptionist gave us a map and told us where we can walk on the island and which beach is better. You can arrange laundry there and leave bags after check-out. Our room had a private bathroom which was pretty clean, a queen size bed, a closet, a fridge and even tv :) All for the price of 2 beds in a dorm :)
