Fantastic clean central budget accommodation”

Quiet (could not hear the bar or busy beer garden from front rooms at all) and very clean with friendly staff. Good value for money. Comfortable beds, air con, modern bathroom, mini fridge, kettle and clothes rack provided. Laundry room on premise and bar drinks downstairs. Only suggestion would be (if council permits) perhaps a microwave in the room as there are very limited food options around dinner time after 7:30pm in the CBD (including the hotel kitchen itself currently only able to serve meals on Friday and Saturday evening) but there are plenty of Uber Eats that deliver promptly. Being able to reheat pre-purchased food would be a bonus/reduced cost. But overall it is a really pleasant, clean, comfortable and quiet spot hidden away right in the heart of the city at a reasonable price with really lovely staff and we would recommend this venue to anyone. We've become regulars and will be back again!

Excellent clean modern budget hotel in heart of CBD”

Clean modern rooms, well priced, friendly staff. Placed above a well known Hobart pub, the rooms are fresh, tidy, renovated and better than most in this bracket. Standard facilities in-room. Laundry on site. Pub downstairs but closes at 9pm so noise not an inconvenience. Central and walking distance to Hobart tourist sites and transport. Only recommendation would be, if laws permit, perhaps a microwave in rooms as many local eateries close by about 8pm due to servicing business hours. But Uber Eats is available, as are several dumpling/ramen venues. We are regular, happy guests.

Australia Day weekend getaway”

Stayed here with my teenage daughter. We were given the largest room with 2 beds. Staff were so helpful, room was clean and had everything we needed. Great location, short walk to everything and fantastic value for money. Breakfasts were delicious too and enough variety to have a different choice each day.

We found location was its best attribute. the bed was a bit firm for my hip discomfit but we overcame that. We do not recommend Room 10 as the kitchen exhaust system was on all night on the wall outside our window, several feet from the bedhead. This was disappointing as we had a good position in room 6 earlier in the week. We had returned for one night before flying home. The staff were super helpful in looking after some of our luggage while we took a 3 day trip to Launceston, and also after final checkout as our flights were in the evening. The rooms are on the first floor and no lift, so the stairs were challenging for us 88 yr olds with luggage.
