Lovely old style hotel! ”
This hotel is located a short 7 minute walk from the bus station, night market, great places to eat and things to discover. The Phorn store right next to the lobby has a great selection of alcohol (inported and local), and cigarettes too. The lobby sells very well priced beer and water (cheaper than 7-11). Also a microwave and hot water available at all times. Staff were all very friendly and so helpful. There is parking on the street if you rent a car, just make sure you ask the staff where to park to ensure no ticket. The room is big enough for sitting in, and sleeping. There are seating areas in a lot of places in the lobby and halls. The hotel, built in 1983, has a wonderful old school vibe. I liked the aesthetic a lot. The bed was decently comfortable, softer than some I have slept in Asia. The room was clean. The tiles in the bathroom could use a deep clean. The towels were good. The a/c was great. There is also washing machines (40 baht) and dryers (10 baht/10 minutes) on site, as well as a place to hang up clothes. The halls do echo a little but it was a generally quiet place after 10pm. Would HIGHLY recommend people stay here! Very good price and nice place to stay! I will stay here again if I am in the area!

I was travelling with my wife, and stayed here for 3 days. We got Agoda offer here for a small apartment. We initially thought with previous few reviews this might be some what bad. But when we went there, it was great for the price. I think with previous comments the hotel is trying to improve things. Hotel building is old, as it is an old establishment, and they have a board showing since 1980 like some thing as I remember. The apartment was cleaned everyday and refilled the toiletries. Small but really comfy apartment we got from this deal, I think they have large rooms as well (depend on what you select). they have a self laundry service, we can use their machine by putting 10TBH coins for washing and drying machines... printed instructions were there. It's located in a really centralized place near to the Chiang Rai beautiful clock tower. And few other additional details, I went there last week, so my details will be subjective to this time. When we exit from the CEI (Chian Rai International) airport, we could not find a bus service to go to the town. There were two taxi booking counters. One taxi service offered ride for both of us with their car for 200 TBH, and other one (when you enter, the right hand side one) offered for 150 TBH. Mostly the important thing here is they all knew Chiang Rai Hotel. there was no need to explain the location. even the taxi driver knew the road without using GPS. probably because hotel is there for so long. And the other thing receptionists were so helpful and friendly. One of the major reason is to give this much time for this review because of their service. They helped us to find a scooter bike, I think that bike service is run by some what near by family. They also so friendly. We had to put 3000 TBH as the deposit or the passport as a guarantee. fee for one day is 300 TBH for the one we selected. they have like 200 TBH and up, due to the condition of the vehicle. Very central location near the clock tower. Rooms are rather small but we only used it for sleeping so no issues there. Bathroom has a bidet. Pretty clean. The staff downstairs are friendly. adjacent to the lobby is also a sundry/liquor shop. Pretty good place. Will return for a stay in chiang rai. The bed however, is slightly on the harder side

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities. Hotel has four floors. No elevator. Room clean and has kettle and coffee/tea supplied each day. Fresh towels each day. Washing machine and clothes dryer available for small fee. Cold beer available within hotel. Will definitely stay again.

I didn't expect this hotel would be so good with this cheap price! You have everything you need and the hotel is so clean and quiet. Kad luang market is within 5 mins walk and bus terminal night market is within 10 mins walk!

A great hotel ”
It’s basic, but has a very cool vibe about it. Open roofed in the communal bit in the middle and a nice big, basic room; (we booked a triple room). Good air con and hot showers. It’s shame there isn’t a cafe on site for breakfast, but there are plenty of options nearby. Plus a really well stocked off license attached! Staff were very friendly and informative about the local area. Kids could hare up and down and not really bother anyone- result! (Also ice creams sold at reception!)

In the heart of the city”
It's centrally located which is near to the different tourist attractions. Room that booked was quite good. Bathroom was bit small and narrow. For solo traveler, the hotel is perfect and it's near by the main road.

Great value for money”
The standard room was simple, but spacious. It has everything you‘ll need. Kettle, good working AC (that is not blowing in your face at night), tea, coffee, cookies and bottled water. We especially liked the big shelf where you can place all your belongings, the Samsung TV and the cozy bed with comfy linens. There is a little mini market in the lobby where you can get drinks and snacks for a good price. Staff was also very helpful and friendly. And - the location is superb! 2 minute walk to the clock tower! We even extended our stay.

This hotel was in a super convenient location, the room was VERY clean, and the bed was cozy, big and very comfortable. It was the perfect hotel for my brief stay in Chiang Rai. I slept amazingly well, it was walking distance to the bus station, the bike rental place, local eating places, the night market, and I had an easy time getting to the temples I wanted to visit. The staff were nice, too. The hotel is very "old school", but the room is perfectly comfortable. Highly recommended.

Staff Koi and Sandy especially Koi was most helpful in providing information on destinations ww were planning. When our Grab ride failed, Koi managed to arrange a reasonably priced ride to Doi Tung. She is always cheerful and ready to assist whenrver rewired. Thumbs up Koi and keep it up and Company should be glad she uphold image for Hotel.
