we decided to spend more this time and stay at the Shanghai Mansion. With the Agoda special rate, it was worth every penny. Our four-poster king-size bed was very comfortable. Some rooms face outward onto the street (but with colored tinted windows there's no way to look in or out), while ours faced the interior of the hotel, so it didn't have any natural light, but it was so dark and quiet that we had the best sleep we've had in months. Be sure to request which type of room you want when you book and double-check with the receptionist when you check in. The vintage Chinese decor was tastefully done, and the warm colors and Chinese lanterns created a romantic setting for our holiday. The staff were genuinely friendly, and Mr. Is the doorman was always ready to help us with a smile on his face. The internet was good. The bar had live music every night, with some good local jazz musicians. There's a 7-11 a few steps away from the entrance on one corner and at the other end of the block is T&K Seafood, a very cheap dinner option if you're in the mood for delicious, fresh seafood in an authentic streetfood setting. The location is generally good, right in the middle of China Town. It's very close to the central train station, Hua Lamphong. However, it's far from the BTS stations. Taxis all knew of the place, and were able to get us to Siam Shopping centre for around 60 baht. Walking one block over to the next parallel street got us into some lighter traffic, where it was faster and easier to get a taxi out of China town. The breakfast was good, with a mix of Western breakfast standards, Chinese food and also some savory Thai rice porridge. The freshly extracted juice made to order from local fruits was a nice touch. Overall, we were very happy with our time at the Shanghai Mansion and will probably stay there again next time we're in Bangkok.

Grand China Hotel ticks all my boxes for location in China Town the breakfast is just great ,all the staff I had dealings with go out of the way to be helpful and at times I needed it,large room great night view, just a tip for the beginners watch the tot tot parked up drivers at the location better to take a metered air-con taxi,Train station is close with bike taxi $60 Baht Lastly booking with Agoda has saved my $$$$$$$$$$$$ and are very trust worthy Peter Australia.

We like staying at the China Town Hotel. It is in a great location with 7 elevens and other conveniences close by.The staff are so friendly and helpful. In the past we have had transport and money problems with which the staff have had inpromptu 'meetings' to try to help us out as they said they were worried about us. This was so nice because the problems were our own and they could have left us to struggle to solve them ouselves but they went the extra miles and made phonecalls and enquiries on our behalf to help solve the problems. It really is comforting to know that the China Town Hotel staff really embrace the concept of customer service and assistance beyond the minimum required.It is a value for money hotel and we quite happily tell people we stay there and recommend it as a good budget hotel.

We stayed in the deluxe room, the air conditioning worked great the room was big the bathroom was spacious. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. Bed was comfortable and the facilities were taken care of well. They are located right in front of the MRT so when you arrive to the airport you can take the A1 bus and it takes you to Chakutak MRT STATION. From there you take the MRT to HUA LAMPHONG and it's literally steps away. This cost us $144thb as to the 800 thb they charged at the airport for a taxi. It's a walking distance away from China town and across the street is the grand train station so you get a wonderful view, there are also small restaurants in Front of there with great food with street food prices. The only downfall was when going home tuktuks didn't know what we were talking about when we wanted to go back we would get dropped off across the street which was fine: we didn't mind. But it's a great facility we would definitely go back.

We needed to fly into Bangkok in order to take the train up to Chiang Mai so we wanted a hotel that would be close to the train station. This hotel is located in China Town and a short walk from the train station which was great for our needs. We found the outside of the hotel to be a little rough but the insides were really nicely kept and the rooms were super clean. Our morning breakfast was really good and there were a number of options available for breakfast. The price for this hotel was only $30 a night so it was great value for a clean hotel close to the train station. We would recommend this hotel if convenience to train station is important to you.

We stayed here for 2 nights further to reading reviews on agoda and were so pleased with it. It is fantastic value for money, better than some of the hotels we have stayed in Thailand! Clean, brand new, comfortable bed, good bathroom, location is great too as 15 minute walk to Khao San Road, 15 minute walk to China Town, 10 minutes to Imperial Place and the closest temple is only 2 minutes walk away. One thing I would recommend is as it is new and off the main road on a side street the tuk tuk drivers don't know about it yet so have a map printed. It is right next to the giant swing. All in all fabulous experience!

On the border of the Old Town and China town, the hotels lies close to a great deal of key attractions of Bangkok, many of them within walking distance. The hotel is clompletely renovated in a modern, pleasant style. We had a very spacious junior suite, that has two large double beds and a separate sitting space. Air condition can be adjusted separately in the two parts. There were fresh flowers every day. The hotel provides excellent breakfast buffet, but unfortunately this is not cheap, at least in comparison to alternatives nearby. It would be good if the hotel would include breakfast (at a discount) in its room price. Very close to the hotel are a number of shopping malls (China center, Siam center) with excellent possibilities for eating apart from shopping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is used a lot by business people as it has special meeting rooms, but we can recommend it too for tourists who want good higher middle range quality.

we are a frequent traveler to bangkok china town for shopping so booked 2 rooms for a 7 day stopover,first time using this hotel, 15 min walk to the china town market once you work out the way to go, a clearer map would be nice, wireless internet is a bit of a rip off with the price's they charge, rooms on the small side but we dont mind this as we only sleep in them, good staff, clean hotel, great breakfast, great meals, very easy underground train access, right at front gate, train right to the front of jj market, most taxi drivers know where hotel is, all in all a good stop over

The hostel was near to Hua Lumphung MRT station and to China Town. Take exit 4 and escalator. Walk straight until you cross the bridge cross the junction, then turn right to cross over to the other side of the road. Walk ahead and the hostel is just about 10 shops ahead on your right. You can use google map for the destination. The hostel was clean, quiet and the staff there were all very young and helpful. All the receptionists are able to converse in understandable English but do not talk too fast to them. The cafe's owner speaks good English. All staff there are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with different types of western foods being served everyday. Each guest is given a password to access the main door after 9 or 10pm for security purposes. However, I booked a 1 Person in 8-Capsule Dormitory but there is no capsule bed as advertised in their website. It was a double bed bunker instead. Anyway, the dormitory was rather secure too as we need to have an access card to enter: tap at the door to go up stairs and then tap at the dorm's room. Going to China Town is about 5 minutes walk. No regret choosing this hostel and I will be back again if given another chance to visit Bangkok!

Remarkable. Amazing spot for stay-cation in the middle of Chinatown. Superb owner. The room was clean and spotless. You are basically staying in one of the best spot in the area. totally recommend.

I really like the rooftop bar which is also the place for the breakfast. There is nothing better than sitting in the sun, drinking coffee, eating fresh fruits and watching the action of the streets in Bangkok. The room is quite small but offers enough space for a comfy bed. Everything is clean. One benefit of the small room: The AC can cool it down in a few minutes. My favorite part of the accomodation: The service. Everyone is very kind and nice. You feel welcome here and everyone tries his best to serve all the needs of the customer. I will come back!

Great service. The staff were super friendly and always welcome us with a smile. We're in group of 3 and had an amazing room. The beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioner is perfect.The breakfast was simple but sweet. Free tea/coffee and cookies all day. It's near to the train station, we even can walk to Yaowarat road in 7 minutes to enjoy the amazing food there! My friend forgot a luggage in the hostel and they keep it safe for her for month. So impressive!!!

We had a great stay at Sampheng Apartment. The room was comfy and clean, the staff were very friendly, and Babar, who works on reception, was extremely kind and helpful and gave us lots of useful information. It's also in a great location in China Town, with lots of really good food close by.

Very cleaned, central position (close to the metro and China Town). A bit noisy because of the traffic. I travelled with my family (three children and two adults), we stayed in a big room at the 4th floor (without elevator!!). The room was very clean, there were 8 single beds (very confortable), wifi signal was strong enough.

Tiger Lily was absolutely THE BEST place to stay in Bangkok! The staff is SO kind & friendly. Tasty, fresh food is served for a light breakfast. Coffee & tea are always available to sip in their cozy lobby. Tiger Lily is the cutest gem to stay in, and I cannot recommend it more. Just by the train station too if you're rolling in from another town!

Thank you for a lovely stay! This hostel is cozy and cute. Breakfast in the morning was great! There are many amazing night street food options nearby, and the man China town area is just a couple blocks away. They were accommodating to our late check in and helped us print out our plane tickets - thanks again!

great place to stay in bangkok. located in china town which is quite central. also sits above hua lampong subway station which allows you to access other parts of the city for a very small fee. staff were friendly and rooms were clean. highly recommended!

If you've got strong legs, this hostel is within walking distance from Khaosarn, Pahurat (Indian Town), and Yaworat (China Town). It's easy to access via boat (Pratunam to Phan Fah) and there are quite a few cheap, tasty restaurants on the same road.

The private room was perfect for what we needed. It was laid out so that you had to go through the 12 person shared room to reach the main hall so that was a bit cumbersome at first but worked well for our short stay. I loved the design and feel of the hostel, lots of artistic touches and the location while a bit tucked out of the way was super quiet for that part of the city. All-in-all I would go back there for sure.

Very nice and clean hostel in central china town of Bangkok, I loved the style and decor of the place though it’s really small it doesn’t have large common areas to hang, but I guess that’s not the point of traveling. The owner, Jim, is a really nice guy he made some really good recommendations of things to do and see in the near by area, we enjoyed it a lot. Totally recommended god job guys!

We had a really great stay at the Peace Factory, the hostel is right next to China Town but at the same time tucked away amongst a local neighbourhood. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. However, our last night we had some real noisy neighbours (the walls are thin) and somebody decided to was sa whole load of dishes right outside our room (at 3AM). I had to shout out of my window and they eventually stopped, this situation was obviously not ideal the night before an international flight. Otherwise, it was a good place to rest your head ahead of busy touring days in BKK. I would recommend for short stays.

The hotel it's hold and the street to arrive there don't look very good, we take a room with no window.the furniture is aged, at first impression I was a bit disappointed, but after a good look I realized that the room was clean and comfortable, 2 small bottle of drinking water and paper, daily cleaning, frigo, kitchen, boiler,microwave,a bathroom with a large shower, TV chairs... bag deposit, reception 24h The location in China town it's very good, (metro and pier for boat at 15 minutes walking) and you can walk to a lot of location nearby, one more thing, we had a NO Window room, but the aspirator work very well, and the air was always clean (no bad smell, umidity ECC...), The first night we had a problem with air conditioning, we ask, and they fixed it, Very good!!! Only the ai conditioning it's a bit old, and too much powerfull... So I wake up in the night to turn it off or on... But at last a quality/price very high for the area, and a lot of service, I realy recommend this hotel!

The staff is so accommodating! We had a late flight and they kept our bags so we could explore the city. Their hospitality is the best.

Really nice hostel owned by Italian-Thai couple. Lady is so nice, location wise the hostel is perfectly positioned. Close to main train station Hua Lampong, metro station and China Town. Lots of food stalls all around, 7-11 few minutes away..... Rooms are clean, not so big but not tiny, with the balcony. Bathroom and shower are in the same room inside rooms and are through the night air-conditioned. They offer basic breakfast for 60 BHT. Downstairs is reception and another toillet, big LCD TV and outside two tables with benches. All in all very nice place for a great price

This first experience staying at hostel with my daughter is incredible! The room is cozy, bed is comfortable. The unique Interior design together with the old heritaged building exterior make such a fascinated place to stay. I really love the bed that next to the windows. I love the shower room on deck floor. Semi open air shower...cool ambience! The coffee from the cafe was so nice. Staff are superb, very friendly and helpful! Really appreciate!! Having a walk journey through the community was such fun activity! I love this place and surely will stay again my next journey! 非常感谢主人们和服务人员！照顾我们得非常好！

You get welcomed by the nice staff and get a fast check in and access directly to free WiFi. The rooms are clean and the bed is nice to sleep in. The pool area is on the top level and the view is breathtaking, with the river of chao praya and all nice buildings in sight. This is the best view from a hotel in Bangkok! The pool area is a great place to hang out at, with great cocktails and really good food during the day and evening and soft relaxing music. On the same level you have a new gym that is nice. The breakfast is tasty and you have alot to choose between and really good alternatives for both western and Asian people. The staff in the Hotel is great and very service minded. The location is great in the middle of China town with alot of things to buy from very cheap things to gold, it is here people from other parts in Bangkok come and buy. You also have so much good food both in the Hotell and outside in restaurants and on the street, same thing here people from other parts of Bangkok is coming here to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. The hotel has shuttleservice to differ places but really it is easy to walk both to the mrt at the train station and the express ferry at the river or take a tuk tuk or taxi which the staff will help you with. In my opinion this is really the best value for a Hotel in Bangkok compered with one star up to 5 stars hotel.

One block from the subway, one block from great street food, one and half blocks from great street food. 7-11 around the corner. About 6-7 blocks from Chinatown. Close to the docks from sightseeing and travel to distant parts of the city. Internet often poor even in the lobby. I would give this place a full five stars of the internet was consistently good. Lobby a little cluttered but homey. Only TV in the place is an old small TV in the lobby but who comes to Thailand to watch TV? If you want TV sports go to the bar and watch it in big screen. I did watch soccer, cage fighting and mai Thai boxing some evenings in the lobby.

Cant say much about the hostel rooms since we were upgraded to another hotel on arrival - the centra hotel (4 stars) directly next to the chic hostel. There we had a great clean and spacious room with skyline view and bathroom. The hostel is directly across the bangkok central station which is a fast and cheap way to get to don mueang airport (only 5 baht by train in 40 minutes) or the suvarnabhumi airport (~65 baht with MRT+Skytrain in 45 minutes). and it is right on the edge to china town, where you can walk and explore. The breakfast is served in the centra hotel building so we had the same breakfast as hostel guests - and it was amazing. You can order eggs to your liking (omelette, fried, cooked) and there is warm thai food, soup, waffles, croissant, toast, cereal, juices, coffee, tea, fresh fruit. You can start your day perfectly here! It seems there is a pool as well for hostel guests but we did not use it. The area is quiet even though it is central and in traffic, and the rooms are on high floors which is even better.
