Probably best place to stay in Surat Thani, big clean hotel, only one 4-5 stars in Surat Thani. Close to Tesco Lotus and outside city . Good stopover to go Samui or South if you go from Bangkok. Good massage. Breakfast - OK.

Stayed here for a night en route to Samui. From the airport, we took the Phantip bus to town for 100 baht and got off the last stop at Phantip bus station at town center. The hotel was just a 3 min walk down the street from there. Easy to find! During the night, we walked to the night market just around the corner which serves great local food for cheap! Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Next morning, just walked out to Phantip and booked our bus+ferry to Samui for 250 baht. Convenient! Hotel is sparkling clean, great wifi and staff speaks very good English. Looks like it may have been newly remodeled. Super cheap stay and great value for money.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The room was very nice for Thailand -- first place I've stayed in with carpet. I paid extra for the deluxe room. Everything seemed to be very clean and modern. The hotel is located about halfway between the city center and the airport so if you're in transit between the 2, it's a good location. There is nothing near the hotel besides a hardware store, though, so prepare to eat at the hotel restaurant which isn't too expensive. Food was okay quality. It was 300 baht by pickup truck from the city center to this hotel. Be careful when telling them the hotel name -- our first driver dropped us off at the Grand Thara hotel instead which cost us an extra 150 baht because we did not realize the mistake in time. The hot water in the shower did not work and the wifi never worked the whole time we were there even though we called and told the front desk. The front desk staff spoke almost no English though seemed nice enough. The biggest qualm we had is that they charged us 650 baht for a taxi to the airport. Since I cannot speak Thai I did not have a means of booking my own taxi and I felt really ripped off. Surat Thani is a fairly cheap town and this taxi ride was well over twice as much as any taxi I've had during my month in Thailand.

The location is not really in the city center but you can get grab or easily walk out of the alley to Tesco Lotus (5 minutes walk). The room is perfect, it has everything you need during the stay. They also has breakfast between 7 till 10 AM.

We were staying at this nice and clean hotel for 2 separate nights on our way to and from Koh Samui. The rooms were clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. Check-in was fast and seamless. We were greeted politely by all staff, except for one staff on our first night's check-in. There were some tissues missing in one of our rooms on the second stay. Staff were quick in replenishing them. The location is excellent. The view on the river and proximity to the city center make it an ideal place to stay. The restaurant on the ground floor is very good, has a lovely ambience and a direct view on the river. We were very pleased. Thanks to the team at CBD2 for our pleasant stay. Anytime again.

Famous hotel in city, with river view, hotel is clean, even open since 30 yrs ago, but all facility still be good. Hot water , air con, TV, swimming pool. Located in city center, BF is good taste, but no warm.

good hotel just over the bridge from city center . we rented a motorbike so was easy to get around ..it as a nice swimming pool .the rooms are clean and big ...breakfast as i sayd ok if you eat thai food too ..otherwise you will find only fried eggs ( cold) sausagges and ham ...same every day but i would come back

3km from bus station. We stayed here for 2 nights since we had been travelling for 30+h. On our way to Koh Samui. If you are travelling with a friend or a couple this is a great place to stay. 3min to local market for cheap food, 2min to closest 7 eleven and 10mins by foot to closest shopping center. Breakfast was bread, chinese rice porridge with pork and juice, tea, coffee, water etc. For extra 30tbh you could get boiled eggs, 60 for scrambled etc. Hostel had a great cafe for drinks and few board games. Ac was nice, shower warm and absolutely no bugs. Staff was very friendly and they arrenged transportation for us to koh samui from the hostel. Great place to stay on the way to islands! Would go again.

I was trying to book train ticket online but was not able to do it. The staff of the hotel helped to buy the tickets for us. She was also showing us where to go and ear even she was away in Laos.

i was in Suratthani for transit over night. Room is subperb. The hotel is in the city center with in walking distance to night market.

I booked the Lagoon rooms for two nights, on our arrival the staff had made some mistakes in reservations, we ended up having a free upgrade to the Suite for first night, and Deluxe room for second night. The Suite was clean and beautiful, but the small balcony didn't offer a nice view - facing a vacant land (the unpleasant smell from the pond was strong too). There were no kettle, hair dryer etc., just a mini bar and a TV (all programmes were in Thai). Lucikly we brought our thumdrive with movies and watched ours with the tv instead, sitting on the nice big L-shaped sofa. The bathroom was a bit small. But overall we enjoyed the spacious and nice room. The Deluxe room faced a nice view of the pond. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large and nice! Again there were only a mini bar and a tv. We actually loved this room more. The hotel was very conveniently located. There was a 7-eleven just outside the hotel, and some food stalls opening from afternoon to night, so no problem to get food and drinks! There were also a few mini restaurants just next to it. Walking to the town across the bridge and river took only 10 minutes (to reach the City Pillar Shrine), and we walked around the shop areas exploring and hunting for food, and managed to find some great food. Walking to the night market and walking street by the river took us 20-25 mins (we are fast walkers who enjoy walking though). The hotel has transport services to night markets and also the big mall Central Plaza a few kms away at quite good rates. The hotel staff was very friendly and smiley. We talked to the guy named Bong (the owner, we believed) who could speak English and he gave us very helpful info about directions and spots. Overall we loved our stay here as much as enjoying a short but relaxing holiday in Suratthani. I would recommend this hotel to my friends who like to visit this town for a relaxation trip.

This residence is excellent for travelers who are passing through, ie, making a connection from Bangkok to the islands. It is clean, professional, new building with very friendly and attentive staff. The location is good, it's mid-way between the airport and the pier (going to the islands of Samui, Phagang, etc) and is in the city center of Suratthani. However, Suratthani town is primarily an industrial town so there's no real entertainment and few restaurants (especially if you arrive late in the evening).

I was really miffed that this hotel list itself as city center, and location location! It is a 6.5 km taxi ride to the city center and bus station. I booked "city center" to be able to catch a early morning bus. They are perpetrating seriously false advertising. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very cordial. It was surprising that a hotel catering to the international clients would have a waitress who speaks literally no English. She was sweet and eager to please but the language barrier was A big one. How about Basic English classes for Hotel employees who want it ? How much could that cost in terms of the benefit of being able to communicate with international clients? This is a 100+ room hotel!

Bun Hotel lives up to what the word means in Thai, "merit." It is a clean and quiet place with good food (loved the Pad Thai!) and good massage service. The only downside for a tourist is that it is far from the city center.

we stay at this hotel for 1 night after a trip for 5 nights at koh samui. service by hotel staff was excellent especially from f&b staff (nok) and the bartender. they help us to find muslim food restaurant once we arrived. at night we pay thaibhat 500 and they bring us to city center, shopping complex, night market, sightseeing at the river and town by hotel car. overall we really enjoy and satisfied with our stay eventhough only for 1 night stay. i highly recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel if you transit in surathani.

After wonderful trip to Koh Samui, we had a transit stay at Surat Thani before leaving for home. Not much mentioned regarding the town. But, the location of the hotel was convenient. Convenient store and restaurant can be found next road. The riverside night market was a bit far from the hotel but still within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. We really had a good rest after long hours of ferry and bus transit. From bed to bathroom, everything were good. The lobby and cafe were nice and comfortable. We can rest while waiting for check-in. The cafe was cozy and entrance walkway was decorated with a lot of plants giving nature feeling within the city. Unfortunately, due to a early flight, we cannot try the food and drink before check out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no problem during check-in and check-out processing. Overall, it will be a good place to stay if you visit Surat Thani.

Omg! I did not expect anything from this hotel and the city. I have never been that wrong. The room is more than perfect, like a five star accommodation in anywhere. If you want to see true Thailand and meet with very kind people, please choose this hotel. The owner, she was really kind and I felt this is her masterpiece. Indeed. Will come back as I have the chance and will book this hidden gem again. 10 stars. A hundred! All my best wishes to her!!!!!!

Very clean place. Room and bathroom were great. Staff knew a bit of English but were as helpful as they can be. Was quite out the way from the city centre so had to get a taxi down.

We stayed in this hotel for the night before catching ferry to Samui the next day. The staff were very efficient and made our stay as comfortable as possible. There are a few food stalls(fried chicken and bbq fish) which made for a good dinner option as there were hardly any other restaurants near the hotel.

Rooms are really nice, especially the bathrooms. Nice pool. Visited the spa for 90 minute aromatherapy massages based on other reviews. Unfortunately, they were terrible. We were in the same room which was great, but my husband's masseuse must have had a cold and she sniffed NON-STOP. It was disgusting to the point where he really wanted to end it and walk out. The two women also talked non-stop throughout the whole massage - the snotty one seemed angry about something and was really loud, mine just seemed to be agreeing with her. Breakfast was ok but we had to go to the shop next door to get a decent coffee. In conclusion, stay in your room - it's the best part.

We only had one night before catching a ferry to the islands. The location is a bit out from downtown, but catching a grab car to the city center was incredibly quick. 15-20 minutes. After an amazing dinner in town, we came back to Sucholtee to enjoy some wine out of the ornate tea set in the room while enjoying the sounds of the jungle. We did wake up to a cute little gecko in our room, but he was a little cute one, and was no bother. Would comeback just to stay here again.

We booked the hotel as an overnight stop-over since we arrived in the afternoon and our flight was the next morning. The hotel is a 200 THB ride from the city center. The rooms are big, clean and come with free wifi and complimentary breakfast. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They offer a taxi service to the airport (30 min away) for 600 THB in a real car, not a tuktuk (400 THB). The extra price is well worth the aircon and not having to breathe in the fumes during the ride. The breakfast is buffet style and offers traditional breakfast foods as well as fruit, toast, jam and cereal.

We booked two rooms at this hotel, we had the deluxe and our friends the superior duplex..(we both wanted the superior but there was not enough left). Both rooms for the price to be fair, was spectacular! I think the hotel should be rated higher than 3 stars! I have stopped in "5*" places that where definitely of much lower quality! Our friends room with the gardened balcony, whirlpool bath and spacious contemporary design was particularly impressive. We didnt make breakfast but im sure it would have been great judging on the rest of the hotel. The staff on reception, didnt really speak any english, however, they pulled a freind in from somewhere to help, who arranged for laundry for us and even VERY kindly took us out for food, then picked us up included with the price! After coming in from the jungle at koh sok, the luxury we found here was most welcome... Would I go back if in area...? YES!

This is the best price for stay food was excellent room are cleaned staff will give you all information and helpful as you asked good for spending night before your flight or go to Koh Samui Island. I stayed 3 times in this hostel and really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean, beds are nice (and big), there is a TV, fridge and AC. The staff don't speak English very well, but always try the help if possible. The hotel is not in the city center, but you can rent a scooter for a fair price. If you go to Surrat Thani I would really recommend this hotel. Also check out the restaurant next to it for some amazing food

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. I stay in many 5 star luxury hotels in the world but honestly the service and the overall experience. Perfect location, 10 mins away from the center. The hotel room is really clean, staff very friendly and helpful. I will be returning for sure!!!!!

I stayed with my spouse and son for a night. Firstly, Hotel is quite popular in city and on the way to city center route of air port service bus. So from airport one can reach the hotel very comfortably. What i liked the most about this hotel is the management understanding of the guest needs, very good wifi coverage, movie CDS, FREE cycles, tour arrangement, Tuk-tuk arrangement on time to our destination. Tough this place is a heaven for backpackers, still I feel 2-star is under rated. All finally the rates are definitely very cheap.

This greenery resort is worth to stay, you can relax here like a home. Room is clean, and large space. Our big family stay in Family room for 6 people, all amenities and room facilities are good. There are 3 bedrooms with living area, and 2 bathrooms. Swimming pool is big too next to the river. Don't forget to try enjoying in cayaking or rolling boat. The restaurant serve good tasted food with the cheap price. Also 7-11 is near the hotel. Hope to come back again.

Booked this hotel as a stop over on way home from Koh Phangan to make an early flight and got a lot more than expected. The hotel is situated away from the main town (Which has very little of interest anyway) in a peaceful riverside setting. Very modern and in good condition, the room was well appointed with a decent TV, kettle and mini fridge. Very big comfy bed, nice polished concrete bathroom. The hotel grounds are very nice, the pool lovely and right on the riverside. Didnt use it but the gym looked exceptionally well appointed and very modern. Didnt eat dinner in the hotel but walked for 15 minutes to find a local place. Breakfast was extra, but reasonably priced for a good sized meal. The airport was just 30 mins away, but that said it was Sunday so no traffic. Great value for money. A very nice little hotel that I would gladly return to.
