I enjoyed it a lot as Just go Never think about other hotels in Amsterdam since 1996 I use this hotel and never regret it , location , size of rooms, service , facilities , food , clean, luxury very central to everything hope you all enjoying staff r so friendly ,rooms are very comfortable , quick checkin , amazing breakfast, lovely atmosphere , go ,keep an eye on the rates and never miss it it will add to the beauty of Amsterdam

I stay in Amsterdam about 10-15 times per year and the Barbizon Palace is my preferred 5 star hotel. The hotel is a bit more low-key than some of the other more exuberant hotels but I greatly prefer this level of efficiency over just display luxury. The rooms are big for Amsterdam and European capital standards, which means that if there is two in the room you do not continuously bump into each other as is normal in Paris, London or other hotels in Amsterdam. The location of the hotel is ideal; very close to the central station, not more than a 5 minute walk with suitcases, from where it is a 15 minute ride to the airport. It is close to all the entertainment of Amsterdam but it is also an excellent starting point to reach any of the businesses in and around Amsterdam. I never was bothered by it but some rooms can be a bit noisy, especially during the day. But apart from that I cannot think about anything that is wrong with this hotel. Definitely worth 5 starts.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Hotel allowed us to store our luggages until the check-in time which was very helpful and convenient so that we don't waste any of our vacation time. We had to carry our luggages about 6 to 7 stair steps up to their lobby which is not bad (since I have my hubby with me :)) but probably for others this might be a bit of a challenge especially if you have heavy luggage or multiple luggages. However, I can assure you hotel staff can assist if needed. This hotel is also a walking distance from Amsterdam Centraal...about 15 to 20 mins walk, not bad at all since we were not in a hurry.

After researching for weeks on end on hotels in Amsterdam I decided to book hotel Estherea after reading all the great positive reviews (and checking out the pics too).My wife and I stayed for 1 night (11/12/18) and where immediately impressed and blown away once we entered the hotel lobby area. Our heads didn’t stop spinning as there is so many beautiful things to look at. While we waiting for a max of 5mins while our room was finished getting ready (we where allowed to check in early as the availability allowed us too) we where invited to sit at the hotels free refreshments area,which is so nice and relaxing. Coffee machines, scones, beautiful ice tea etc. From the word go you notice All the little nice xtra things, filling up your coffee in a very cute hotel estherea take away coffee cup to the quality cakes and treats to tuck into..the list goes on.The room was so darn beautiful and impressive we could live there forever. Even the corridors and x2 lifts where so cosy and beautiful.

Ok.so everyone is allowed an option but reading reviews after you have booked can be quite daunting. Well I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how good the blyss was our room for 4 girls was 303 and u would recommend that room if there is a group. We all had our own comfortable single bed and really enjoyed our trip. As a regular to amsterdam the location is superb.

We have just spent 11 nights in this lovely hotel in the tranquil Oud Zuid neighbourhood with it's huge trees. Great location - my husband could walk to the RAI Centre and I could easily take the trams to the city or walk to attractions close by such as Vondel Park and Rijks Museum or the beautiful shopping streets in the area. The hotel is decorated in soft tones and has a calming atmosphere with soft music playing and scented candles burning in the lounge area. Friendly staff greeted with smiles every time we entered through the sliding doors and were very helpful with advice about getting around the city. Our room was very comfortable with a huge bed, a beautiful view over the trees outside and luxury amenities in the spotlessly clean bathroom. We did not dine in the Kersentuin restaurant but preferred to spend the last meal of our trip in the lounge area which has a more casual menu - this was the best meal of the entire time we were in Amsterdam! A hotel highly recommended!

By usual standards of most hotels in Amsterdam, the NH Carlton is clearly a cut above the rest. The staff was very friendly and even let us check in early at 8am (check in is usually at 3pm). The rooms are a bit small but that is to be expected in this city. Despite the size, the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and our room which had a balcony actually had a nice view of the city. Personally loved that there were elevators as we had massive bags with us and I was grateful to not have to lug them up narrow flights of stairs! Location wise: the flower market is a short 5 minute walk away and there are plenty of cafes and bars around. My only gripe was that the doors to our balcony didn't shut fully, but as we were only there for 1 night it was bearable. Overall great stay.

Best Service, Staff was very friendly, location is good for shopping. If someone needs to exercise there is big gym next to it, though it doesn’t have any link with the hotel but one can walk in and pay for the daily visit. The only suggestion I have is that a small cupboard should be placed somewhere in the hotel, wall mounted hooks are difficult to place clothes. If cupboard can’t be placed than at least cloth hanger stand should be placed in the room. I highly recommend staying in this hotel. No need to book a taxi from airport to hotel, you can catch the bus (Bus Number 69) in front of arrival exit and drop by “ruimzicht” bus stop. You can buy the ticket on the bus. I suggest buying 48Hrs unlimited ride ticket for 12.5 Euro instead of buying a one-way ticket of 2.9 Euro. This ticket can be used on Bus and tram anywhere in Amsterdam.

Location is just few steps from Zaandam station which gives easy access to all locations in Netherlands. Literally like 3mins walk from the station. Restaurants and grocery shops are just outside. You can get 10% discount from the Chinese resto outside. The location itself is too lovely. Room space is just enough for a couple with 2big luggages. Toilet is small but clean. Receptionist was kind and polite. No prejudice nor discrimination for us Asians. No other amenities except for the coffee vendo in the lobby. I recommend this hotel if you need to be near Amsterdam but doesnt want to be in the crowded center itself.

i had a wonderful time at the park plaza victoria amsterdam hotel. although it took some time for my room to be ready, the wait was worth the while as i was treated to a lovely view. the location is unbeatable, being a mere short stroll from amsterdam centraal. the room is nice size, clean and comfortable although i would have liked to have windows that could open fully. the wire mesh also disrupted my view a tad. having said that, the service is impeccable and i would recommend this hotel to others in a heartbeat.

I have lived here for one night before my flight departing from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. It just takes 5 mins walk to Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station and 10 mins sprinter from Sloterdijk Station to Schiphol Airport. It is also close to Amsterdam City centre. You can simply take a bus outside the hotel to the city centre. The room is clean and comfortable with nice scent. There is an open kitchen with all the utensils that you may need. There is a gym room and sauna room, though I don't have time to use it. The bed is comfortable. You can ask the front desk to sell you GVB tickets for travel if you need one. The staff I met are all so nice with good English.

We loved our stay at De Hallen. The rooms are very well designed. The bed was large and comfortable; the bath was long and deep: the shower was capacious, and the storage well thought out. De Food Hallen next door is great and offers a variety of choices. It’s food truck food, not restaurant food. But good quality and at a good price. You’ll enjoy your stay at De Hallen. It’s a funky place and well sited close to restaurants and bars and close enough to the city by tram. We’ll be back - at the right price. Amsterdam hotel prices are pretty ridiculous unless you snare a bargain.

The hotel is absolutely lovely, it is quite far from the centre so you do need to walk to the tram stop which is about a five minute walk, to get onto the number 1 which takes about 30 minutes. The hotel is in a quite peaceful location, the decor is wonderful. The staff were really friendly and polite. The room we stayed in was cleaned perfectly, and we had no issues during our stay there! We are already planning on coming back to Amsterdam and staying in this hotel again :)

Our stay in Amsterdam was short but necessary! Luxer was a great choice for the price and location. Upon arriving we went through the same routine as any other hotel, it was really clean for its location considering that it was Amsterdam. The room was very clean and well presented for what it is, on hand shower gel etc. The staff provided us with an adapter for our English charger as we didn’t have one at the time which was really nice. Breakfast for €9 pre booked and €12.50 for no booked, we missed our pre booked day and asked if we could move it to the next day which they was more than willing to do. We was victim to the Gatwick Drone incident and the person at the desk was very comforting and reassuring and gave us a room with 15% discount which we was very grateful for. They also gave us a little goody bag after we checked out which was also nice! The only thing I could say which would be better is for check out to be 12 as walking in Amsterdam gets tiring!

To be perfectly honest, due to the price, location and the fact that it was a hostel, I wasn't expecting a great deal from The ClinkNOORD. We've visited Amsterdam over 20 times and have stayed in some high end hotels as well as some complete dives, however this was our first time staying in a hostel. I've passed by some of the hostels in the RLD and they are far from welcoming, so I assumed that the ClinkNOORD would be more or less the same...I was wrong!!! The ClinkNOORD may look like an old industrial unit from the outside, but once inside you are met with an extremely clean, brightly lit and friendly reception area, and branching off from that some chill out/study areas, a bar and kitchen. Our stay here was fantastic, the only thing I can fault is the thin long flat pillows, which even doubled up and placed between your arm and head are not sufficient. Bring your own pillow or prop it up with some clothes under it. We didn't eat at the ClinkNOORD so couldn't review the Food/Dining section (hence 3 stars). Would we stay here again? Definitely YES. The ClinkNOORD will be our first choice in the future and will remain so if they maintain the current standard and pricing structure.

Myself and my partner visited this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff were really friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious clean and modern as was the hotel. The hotel is situatied about a 5 minute walk from the nearest tram line which takes you in to the centre of Amsterdam. The trams ran very regularly and we both said we could prefer to stay in a nice hotel and travel into the centre than stay in the centre of Amsterdam. This hotel was perfect for us and we would defiantly come back again!

This hostel is the bomb. Scenic view inside garden. We booked a private quad room to ourselves. Tips : 1. Upon arrival need to pay extra fees for every traveller 2. If you want to go to Primark area, take Tram no 9 from “1e Van Swindenstraat” to “Dam” 3. How to go to Tram. From hostel entrance (entrance of the hostel is at your back, turn left and straight appx 300mtr to Tram stop) 4. Uber is available for pickup from hostel to airport. Normal car 20-30eur, Van 50-60eur one way. Around 30minutes 5. Need to take their hot chocolate with whipped cream 6. Bring extra towel, they don't provide any Have fun travelling to Amsterdam, coz I did! Thank you Generator Hostel :)

While not in the center of Amsterdam, Hotel Arena is very close to all of the action. It's just a short walk to the tram and only a 15 min walk into the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful in helping us get around and the rooms were clean and bright. There was construction at the time of the visit, but we didn't hear any noise and the hotel generously gave us two free drinks to apologize for the work.

The hotel was great location. Near everything. It was clean and spacious in the room. Hair dryers and shower gels, tea & coffee, towels provided. Amsterdam hotels can be a nightmare. This is very nice and affordable. You get your own bathroom (trust me some hotels you don't in amsterdam, which is no no for me) and it was perfect. TV, walk in shower and a comfy bed. Would stay in again. Housekeeping each day and pleasant staff. Plus a lift, which if you have been to Amsterdam you know they have a lot of stairs - everywhere. So the last thing you want is to come back to your hotel and have to climb stairs. Very impressed. They do breakfast too - I didn't have that but it smelt lovely.

The staff at Sir Albert is top notch. They are a standard for hospitality. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. And the rooms feature the BEST pillows I have ever slept on. My only complaint is that the music from downstairs is quite loud when staying on the first floor. And can go until 2am! Typically most people are out at night in Amsterdam, but as we were spending a quiet evening in, it was rather unpleasant that one night. Thanks for a wonderful stay, otherwise!

The TImes Hotel is in a great position for a stay in Amsterdam. It is very central to all the highlights of Amsterdam, but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy some quietness. Although I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, it looked more than adequate. The room was a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. There are many lovely restaurants nearby, and lots of interesting walks by nearby canals. It is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to Centraal Station, and 10 minutes to Dam Square. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. As I was travelling alone (I am a middle aged woman) I wanted to feel safe where I stayed, and The Times Hotel certainly provided that. I would not hesitate to recommend The Times Hotel, and will definitely stay there again.

We reached the hotel a few hours after the storm hits Amsterdam. The receptionist was very helpful and made a fast check-in for us to settle down. Our room located at basement level due to hotel fully booked. The hotel decorated with a modern design and this is the first time we stayed in a room with an open toilet. We spent 3 nights at this interesting hotel. Although it was a prison during the past and this makes the whole story sounds scary, but we found that it's much better than what we think of. The location is great, away from the lively and noisy area, but still close to centraal. Take Tram #26 and it's only 3 stops (Rietlandpark Station) from Amsterdam Centraal. It's very convenient, just a few minutes walk from the tram station, you can even see the hotel from the tram. Overall, it's a pleasant stay with this quiet and nice hotel. By comparing with those hotels in downtown with higher price but low quality room, definitely i will choose here again with no doubt. For sure will come back again!

We spent 4 days in Amsterdam. The Hotel is located in a great position. From the airport you can take the bus 397 which stops in Leidseplein (5 mins walking from the Hotel). 5 mins from the Hotel there is the Museums'area (Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk, etc..). In the evening the area is full of life, but not too busy, with plenty of nice restaurants and pubs, and if you research you can find even no touristic places. To get to central station, it takes 25 mins and it is a very nice walk. You can choose if have the breakfast at the hotel, we highly recommend this choice, it was rich and yummy.

Had a three day visit on Amsterdam and stayed 2 nights in Royal Amsterdam Hotel. Great location almost in city centre with lots of restaurants and shops close by, you can easily walk to most attractions/sightseeings in Amsterdam or catch the tram across the square. Staff was very welcoming and friendly, we arrived earlier without warning and just wanted to leave our luggage for hold, but surprisingly we got our room immediately  We stayed in Superior Twin room with a balcony looking over Rembrandt Square. The room itself was small, but modern and clean, air conditioning and wifi included. Bathroom/shower was great and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory, the food was good but the variety could be much better, coffee (from coffe machine you can choose latte, cappuccino etc) was really tasty. Overall, we are very happy with the stay and would recommend to someone who doesn't need a lot of room, wants to be in the middle of everything, and doesn't mind a bit of the stre

Perfect location for all the sites within walking distance. Oldest hotel in Amsterdam maintaining the charm and beauty of its period in the public spaces with new, modern facilities in the room. Perfect for our stay. Will choose again.

I have stayed at the Singel a number of times over a period of twenty years, or so, and I see no earthly point in paying more for a hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel was modernised a few years back and is now clean, immaculate almost, and a pleasure to stay at. A big attraction, is that the hotel is away from busy roads and, being set on a lightly-used canal-side road, is very quiet at night. The staff are extremely friendly.

Okay this hotel is not 5 star but it has a fabulous location, the staff are amazing - they couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast was fine, your normal type of buffet breakfast and of a good quality. The rooms are very small but fully functional, bathrooms very small but again they had all the facilities you need. We stayed here for 3 nights and mainly only slept, showered and changed to the small room did not bother us. Literally a five minute walk from Amsterdam Centrall Station.

Amsterdam hotels can be very pricey and quite hit and miss. We were so lucky to finally decide on Hotel Roemer! Situated in a lovely neighbourhood right in the heart of the museum district but not too far from the central area, we enjoyed leisurely strolls from the front door to everywhere we needed to be. Our room was in the annexe building across the street and was very spacious with a nicely appointed bathroom. The main hotel building has a gorgeous rear terrace which was a tranquil space to sit with a drink on an evening after a day of sightseeing. Although we didn’t eat at the hotel, there was a small restaurant facility if required. Our favourite thing was the ‘honesty bar’.....get a drink of any variety just make sure you note it on the bar slip! Undoubtedly though, the best thing about the hotel are the fabulous staff! They were so courteous, happy and helpful - cannot praise them enough! We LOVED this hotel and will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic time! :-)

The receptionist personnel all that I came into contact with on my visit may 6,2019 through May 8,2019 excellent even to the gentleman who helped me take my luggage to the tram because I was too close to Amsterdam central. I was unable to use the wellness center 😥😂 But next time. I have already recommended your hotel and Amsterdam to friends. To be honest I was in Paris prior to my arrival if had known, I would have spent more time at your hotel and Amsterdam. I felt comfortable and safe. As solo traveler.Thank you lorna gunness
