"The location is perfect - just 10 minutes from the harbor with a beach literally opposite the hotel. The beach is great for snorkeling - go out at high tide so you can swim over the seaweed farms. Also check out the beach bar 'Penida Colada' for great food and drinks. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, addressing us by our first names as soon as we arrived. They organized transport and a day tour for us at fair prices. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced compared to Bali! There are even two Bali Starlings who like to frequent the grounds. The room was big with a large, very comfortable bed. We will be back!"

"i brought my parents for a 4d3n trip to bali for the first time and been looking for a suitable hotel and this was a last minute trip so i actually booked this hotel a day before arriving after going through several selection of hotels. kuta paradiso hotel is amazingly located at the most strategic location nearby kuta square and lots of eating outlets stone throw away. though the poolview indicates that you are able to see the beach, but in reality the scenery of the beach is well blocked by tall trees, so if you're getting deluxe poolview, expect just the poolview and nothing more. nevertheless, it is just by the beach, you can access to the beach through a side exit of the hotel (as you walk out of the lobby, immediately turn left to an area that looks like parking lot and you will find an exit). hotel has full facility, staffs from reception to bellboy to waiter/waitress were all very warm and welcoming, kudos for the very polite culture! the room is up to my expectation as what i would get of a deluxe room, and that comes with free buffet breakfast which has reasonable selection of american/local breakfast...the potato hashbrown simply the best! exit from the hotel, you will walk through kuta square and reaching a t-junction you may decide to turn left towards the road along kuta beach, or turn right to access to other roads namely legian street. you will get familiar on the first day itself so enjoy ;)"

"We have been coming to the Ramada for 12 years now, sometime we stay 2 or 3 times a year. We have stayed at a lot of 5 star hotels in Bali but nowhere we have stayed has had the same setting or relaxed atmosphere as the Ramada. The Ramada has the lot, great pool, magnificent gardens, friendly staff and great breakfast. The only thing is the staff no longer serve the coffee during breakfast any longer, you have to actually get your own. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel. "

"A lovey place with an inviting pool, wonderful tropical foliage, a master wood-carver and museum on site. Handy free shuttle to and from nearby Ubud. Excellent concierge service. Restaurant with room service available from early am to 10 pm or so. Staff are attentive and lovely people. On-site massage is excellent and yet dirt cheap! Our room was a splurge for us and some of the best money we spent on a four-nation seven-week tour. While Bali itself did not meet all of our expectations the good people and facilities at Taman Harum Cottages exceeded expectations at every turn and made for a great week there."

"We opted for Klapa resort for the last 2 nights of our stay in Bali. We were impressed from the get-go. Very courteous and organised staff at the reception had everything ready for us and had a smooth check in. They explained all the facilities at the resort. The room was the most spacious I have seen in any hotel and the golf view was very nice. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large bath tub and an additional shower cubicle. Room had ample storage cabinets. Bed was also comfy. Waking up to the rising sun was our best moment in the room after a sound sleep. Breakfast spread and the quality of food was just ok. This could use a bit more attention from the management. Probably the best part of our stay at the resort was the free access to adjoining Klapa beach restaurant and Dreamland beach, especially in this part of Bali very transportation options are limited, this saves you a lot of time and money. We spent a whole evening at the infinity pool overlooking the sea and sunset served by the most attentive staff which was the high point of our stay. The staff at the resort also arranged scooter on rent and meter taxi on time as requested. Overall we had a great couple of nights at Klapa resort and we were extremely happy with our choice. I would highly recommend Klapa resort to any travellers looking for a good accomodation at reasonable prices."

"I hate to write this since the hotel employees were exceptionally friendly but otherwise I didn’t like the flair of the Hotel very much (would give it 3 stars). The rooms are big, clean and modern but a bit cold and since the hotel just opened it was still not really finished. Facilities were still closed, the pool area poorly designed, no place to sit on the balcony, very poor room service (food). I wish the team all the best for the future though, they did there best!"

"After 35 visits to Bali and having run Hotels and restaurants for over 15 years I feel I am well able to give a proper review of facilites and what you get for your money in Bali. The Suka Beach Bungalows on Lembongan Island are new Lembongan Hut-style accomodation, angled and facing towards the beach. We booked the A/C suite but didn't turn it on once as the breezes and airflow was fine anyway, but as this is the closest one to the water didn't mind the extra cost to have totally uninterrupted views across to Sanur and Benoa Harbour at night time. There are currently 4 raised Huts with a downstairs outdoor bathroom setup (No Hot water but really it isn't needed) which is fine and the balcony and fixtures are great. Nice big comfy bed as well. Downstairs having your own daybed is a nice touch. Ketut and his lovely family are really good value. The brother apparently does massages but I never saw him do anything while I was there so can't comment on how good or otherwise they are. Ask Ketut if he can get any fish in (which he will if he doesn't already) for some of the best Bonito Tuna you'll ever eat. The rooms aren't serviced daily as these are low dollar accomodation but really a wonderful little find. There is a bit cheaper around but overall you won't regret paying and staying with Ketut and his family. TIPS: believe it or not but there is a Michelin 3 Hat Chef (the Highest rating you can get) on the Island (ask where is Indiana Restaurant)for one of the most memorable meals of your life: You do get what you pay for absolutely in life and this is a must do if you are into fine dining and a sunset to die for. Make sure you book or you will have to settle for a table further back (which is still lovely) but you'd regret it later if you didn't have the "Whole" experience. Five Star all the way.....amazing. "We were in Bali for 3 weeks, stayed in 8 different hotels/villas and this one by far was our favourite!! It's stunning. So peaceful, I can't fault this place at all. Gorgeous interiors and good sized private pool, although next time we will be staying in a deluxe room so we can get a view of the ocean too! The best thing about our whole stay by far was the staff. I have never been so well looked after in any type of accomodation before. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel special and they're so caring and sweet!! Special mention to Agus ...we would go back just to see him again !! Highly recommend this stay to everyone, especially couples looking for a bit of romance! ...food is great too !! Loved not having a buffet breakfast for once ! "

"This was my third trip to Bali since first visiting in 1977.I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Bali and would recommend this establishment very highly.Certainly it is a quieter and nicer venue than most (in this price range)in the Kuta area.We preferred to stay a little further out from the bustle and noise of Kuta.It has great grounds and a good quality/size pool. The hotel's shuttle will take you to Kuta but you must make your own way back.A metered taxi costs an average of 50,000 rupiah, (and about US$5 doesn't break the bank). I would recommend it and stay there again.Great shopping can be had between Kuta and the hotel. Nearby resturants are cheap an well worthy of a visit."

If you're looking for something sweet, try Bali's famous black rice pudding, which is made with coconut milk, palm sugar, and black rice. And if you're feeling adventurous, try some of the island's more exotic dishes, such as Sate Lilit, which is a spicy fish satay, or Bebek Betutu, which is a slow-cooked duck dish.
