"In our 9 day stay in bali we spend 3 nights in Ubud (Kamandalu Resort, would 100% recommend) and spent 6 in Seminyak staying in a Waterfall villa. Positives: The villas are amazing! So spacious and I loved having breakfast served in my villa daily. The location was the best I've ever seen, down the road from bars and cafes that will change your life. (Bistrot, Sarong, Kudeta, The W, Patato Head and about 1000 others. Check out The Bali Bible app for the names). All the staff were amazing and so helpful. The pool in the villa was a lovely size and the waterfall made for so many good instagram moments. The staff were always happy to drop us to a local cafe if the car was free and make reservations for us, we felt so accommodated and cared for. Negatives: Access to the upstairs/downstairs is outdoors. This is a big issue, ESPECIALLY If you travel during Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb during the wet season, where it rains almost daily. The umbrellas are fine but it's generally uncountable. There are stairs either side of the villa, which is confusing because I'm sure building 1 set of stairs indoors would be the same cost as 2 outdoors. I also found that after one of two photos with the waterfall, I was sick of living on two levels with very long steep outdoor stairs. We took a look at the smaller villa on one level and it looked so much easier to live in, just without the lovely effect of the waterfall. I would have almost liked to spent 1 day in the waterfall villa and the rest in the smaller one. There is also a communication break between the reception, butler and housekeeping, which gets confusing keeping up with who does what, somthing you shouldn't have to do on a holiday. Overall positive and I would recommend, especially if you love good food and an incredible location. Just be prepared to get a little wet and for your legs to get a bit of a work out. "

"We stayed at The Maya for a week, we had 5 days booked but after a not so enjoyable stay at another Sanur resort we decided to cut our stay short at that resort & move to the Maya 2 days earlier. I am so happy we did. It is so beautiful, tranquil & the service we recieved was truly 5 stars. We were lucky to be upgraded from the garden view to a pool view room which was greatly appreciated, thanks to Barry the Duty Manager who was so helpful to us during our stay, thanks so much Barry. The pool view rooms have a table & 2 chairs on the balcony where as the pool view rooms have a very comfy day bed to lounge on. The rooms are all spacious with all the amenities you could want. Breakfast was ample with your eggs cooked how you want. Also the cappuccino was great something you would expect from a 5 star property. Staff @ breakfast & in the restaurant were lovely, friendly & so willing to please, a big thankyou to Krishna & Padmini who looked after us during breaky & dinner. Padmini went over & above when realising my husband was sick in bed with bali belly on our first morning she came to the room with bread & tea so he didn't miss out on breakfast. The pool over looked the beach & was gorgeous & my only complaint about the pools in Bali is they are not heated, l like a heated pool. This hotel is well worth a look if staying in Sanur it is probably one of the best as it is a boutique hotel. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Maya Sanur."

"We stayed at totally five different hotels in Bali, and the Nirwana was by far the best of them. Its really nice situated right by the sea and the view is breathtaking. There are only few rooms, so the area, restaurant and pool are never crowded. There are many nice things to wee nearby by taxi or motorbike. The hotel offers a good transport service. The restuurant is a bit pricy, but its worth it!"

"Compare to the hotels we booked while in Bali, this is where we're a bit disappointed. We checked in at 2.30pm and the shower heater isn't hot enough, the plug at the bar isn't working also.. All else are ok, good food and staff (especially at their restaurant) It's nice that they also have an airport transfer. Probably it's a good hotel but we experience better hotels in Bali, we just moved here since it's near the airport :) "

"We stayed in Adi Dharma hotel for two nights from April 28-30. This was the first time we visited Bali and stayed in Adi Dharma hotel. We had a fantastic experience! I can say, which I mean it, Adi Dharma hotel is the best hotel I've ever stayed! It has nice location, great facilities, and excellent service. We appreciated the friendly staffs and excellent service! We arrived at the hotel at around 9am, the hotel was nice enough to schedule us a room for early check-in. The hotel also provided car and driver in a competitive price. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We booked a car to Ubud for a one day trip, but we left a baggage at the car. We didn't think of it in the last day we were in Bali when we packed our luggage to airport. At that time we've already checked out and in another hotel in Nusa Dua. We contacted Adi Dharma hotel to see if we can go to pick up, unfortunately the car was out for a trip with other guests, they would be back after 6pm, but our flight was at 8:30pm. The staff told us time would be too tight, and they were worried we would miss the flight because we needed to be in the airport 2 hours in prior to the flight. At last, they offered to send a car to deliver our baggage to the airport for us. At 6:30pm, we met the driver from the hotel and got out bag back before the flight at the airport. We were thrilled and moved by the service. Thanks so much for their help! We could never imagine a hotel would be so considerate and customer oriented. "

"Located 100m in front of the surf breaks, this hotel is only few minutes walk to Echo beach restaurant and canggu "center" for restaurant and bars (Deus ex machina, Betelnut etc)... Probably the best location to check the surf and enjoy the sunset from the overflowing swimming pool... Very peaceful location and Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. We first booked for 3 nights and further extend for 4 more nights. Highly recommended getaway for your stay in Canggu. it might be slightly more expensive than other hotels but you get what you pay for... I will definitely book few nights to this hotel in my next trip to Bali."

"Manyi Ubud Village exceeded our expectations, we stayed here for 3 nights and they accommodated our every need and did there very best to do so in amazing English. We ate at the hotel every morning for breakfast and every night for dinner, the food was delicious and was prepared so quickly and very very affordable. The location was great, it was quite and only a 5mins ride into ubud. We hired a moped and scooted around the village everyday it is very easy. I would recommend this hotel for anyone and I will be returning on my next trip to Bali. HAPPY TRAVELS"

However, the best time to visit Bali is during the dry season, which runs from April to October. During this time, the weather is warm and sunny, making it perfect for exploring Bali's beaches, temples, and other attractions. If you're looking to save money on your Bali trip, consider visiting during the low season, which runs from November to March. While you may experience some rain during this time, the island is less crowded, and you can find great deals on hotels and flights.

Bali is known for its delicious and unique cuisine, which is a blend of Indonesian, Chinese, and Indian influences. One of the most popular dishes in Bali is Nasi Goreng, which is a fried rice dish that is typically served with chicken, shrimp, or vegetables. Another must-try dish is Babi Guling, which is a roasted suckling pig that is seasoned with a blend of spices and herbs. If you're looking for something sweet, try Bali's famous black rice pudding, which is made with coconut milk, palm sugar, and black rice. And if you're feeling adventurous, try some of the island's more exotic dishes, such as Sate Lilit, which is a spicy fish satay, or Bebek Betutu, which is a slow-cooked duck dish.
