Real reviews for hotels
There were not many visitors rushing here and there. We met many energetic and friendly Brisbane citizens.
We found the Brisbane citizens are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their style of living and the nice food.
We were re-locating to Brisbane after living overseas for years. We found the people of Brisbane friendly, helpful and very patient especially with our lack of confidence with driving on the roads.
Fair mix of nationalities that seem to intermix well, not too much rush, staff are mostly helpful and friendly.
Lovely city centre that revolves around the river. Good for starting early in the morning and just walking along the entire river bank.
road system designed by a lunatic who has never travelled by motor car. easy to get the car into a car-park but almost impossible to get back to the car park to retrieve the car.
Brisbane is a great city and find it very clean and tidy and very easy to get around we just love to visit.
Decent place, the city itself doesn't have much to offer other than being a laid back city. Southbank was a really nice and chilled place to hang out.
Including Brisbane's CBD, its suburbs, and surrounding day-trips, Brisbane seems to have just about everything except snow sports.
great city the maps were very easy to follow and so we got around walking and using public transport.
Brisbane is a city that is growing up offering great food, restaurants wines and coffees. The city cat service is amazing very reasonable and very friendly staff, found majority of locals only to happy to help.
Mainly travel to Brisbane for business. Certainly has become cosmopolitan over the years and has grown up from a sleepy centre to a quiet vibrancy.
Brisbane is a vibrant city with much to offer. There is Suncorp stadium for the footy fans , Museum and science centre for the history buff ,beautiful old buildings, nightlife and a multitude of dining options.
This was my first visit to an Australian city. I was impressed by the orderliness, everything (public transport, airport, taxis etc) seemed to function.
easy to travel by bus train and ferry, good food and shopping. Southbank worth a visit and close to stadiums for football.
Brisbane is one of the best city, mostly you will find High rise buildings. Brisbane City center is one of the landmark location.
Fantastic shopping; great art gallery and museum; great trips along the river in the river cats; get yourself a hotel or motel near the river and watch everything at night lit up - it is very beautiful.
Basically the city is very new. Not much of historical stuffs. The city is very clean and close to nature.
Enjoy Southbank - the markets are great. Catch the ferry and enjoy the Brisbane River in both directions and plan your trip to get the free ferry too.
Brisbane has become my favourite destination for holiday travel from my home city of Sydney. It has plenty to offer in its own right, and also serves as the 'gateway' to the rest of Queensland, which has plenty more to offer.
An ideal city for stopover for five days on the way home or to spend a week and enjoy the shopping and sightseeing.
Brisbane, being the captical of Queensland. It's easy to get to "Gold Coast" from here Throgh Rail Way.
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, this is where the University of Queensland located, I was here, just to show my kids the University and also visit an old friend who move over here.
Walking, bicycling, bus, train or ferry so handy to get around to view all the sights. My neice and i used all transport minus bicycling or car as i find concentrating always important for safety.
Lots of areas to walk, botanic gardens beautiful, hiring bikes and riding around the river is lovely.
loved the southbank precinct with shops, food, and entertainment for the kids. Loved the Caxton street area for nights out and the casino for a flutter.
The access to City Cats take you up the river with the option of paying for a two zone ticket that allows you to do the full river trip with the options of getting on and off over a two hr period.
Do visit the gold coast theme parks, harbourfront market and Queens street for some shopping (however many shops are closed very early so do go early instead).
A very pleasant place that has been overshadowed by her big sister Sydney....not as much grace her but she is a god looking lady.
Attendant on Cat was not well informed about the closure of certain points. Consequently we arrived at the city when the shops which we wished to visit were closed.
