"Not sure how I feel about the iPads and revamping the reception to look hi tech... this is my 3rd stay at the Arts Factory and the aesthetic has always been a hippy haven. But no matter how many iPads they install through out the hostel you still get the douchebag playing oasis on the guitar til 2am. Doesn’t matter what happens to this place it’s the only place worth staying for the Byron Bay experience. "

"I came here with my partner and it was really good value for money. We had such a great time here, the hotel was so close to everything so we didn’t need to use our car at all. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room looks a lot better than what we were expecting so it was a lovely stay. Only improvement could have been a full length mirror. Thank you and will def come back here next time we’re in Byron Bay."

The kitchen is cleaned 3 or 4 times a day, well furnished, half outside. All the common facilites are clean and comfortable. The location is next to an organic shop and Woolworth, also 10 min from the beach and 5 min from the city center. You can feel all the good vibes from Byron Bay !"

"I would recommend everyone to stay away from this hostel just because of how hot the rooms are. It was unbearable for my roomates and myself. Must be something wrong with this hostel bc I've also stayed in a different hostel in Byron Bay with no AC and it was very manageable. Plus I had a room by the main street, you could hear the music until late at night (for sure you will leave the windows open), but worst, there is I don't know how many trucks at 6 am in the morning making really loud noise in the street. I barely slept at all that night. You will find some people sleeping in the lobby/common area where you can watch a movie, this is bc the lobby has AC! If you can bear some serious heat, the facility in itself is amazing, brand new, perfect location and staff extremely helpful. This hostel could be a 9.5-10 if it wasn't for the heat problems in the rooms. But the problem is serious enought that I don't recommend staying there."

"Excellent loaction, comfortable rooms, great prices. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Lots of car parking. The sauna, Spa and pool are awesome and made my stay even more enjoyable. Lord Byron is perfectly located and is close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The bed is comfortable and for me the room ticked all the boxes as far a business accomodation is concerned. I also like that every room has a balcony, great to sit outside and have a cuppa. I travel on a regular basis and from now on the Lord Byron will be my accomodation of choice when I stay in Byron Bay.. "

"I had no issues with the stay here although this Hotel is well overpriced for what is on offer. The two selling points are the location and the pool. When paying such a high rate for what is sold as a Beach "Resort" one would expect a few luxuries but there were none. No breakfast, no gym, no additional tourist info available - maybe a few suggestions but no intentions to source contacts etc, the WIFI is a bad connection that drops out all the time, only 1 Pay TV Channel that has a bad signal (other than sports), a very limited and deep-fried menu only, toiletries that you can get from a roadside motel, no newspaper, no complimentary water (really shocked as Byron sells itself on being a healthy haven for sun-lovers so WATER is important!) All for $350 a night! I also suffered from allergies whilst in Byron that the chemist seemed to think was the hotel carpets and curtains due to other guests visiting in relation to allergies at a time when there was nothing else significant in the air to cause them."

"A great spot to base yourself in town, if visiting Byron Bay. The apartments have everything you need and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It's walking distance to Cape Byron too! The only negative for me was the lack of insulation between apartments - I could hear a lot of noise from upstairs and people walking past our bathroom (from the outside). Nonetheless I would recommend to others. "
