Traveling to Egypt? Find Cairo hotels

The place is pretty hard to find since it is in the 10th story of a normal house (no worries, there is an elevator). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and will try everything to translate whenever the two staff members who speak very good english are not around. The rooms are clean enough, spacious and the view is out of this world. Make sure to take a room with balcony, totally worth it. The wifi does not reach every room, but there is a good internet connection and comfy seating close to the reception. Right outside, there is delicious, very cheap fallafel, a small store and a fruit(juice) shop. The beds are not super comfy but will do for a couple of nights, especially because the price is a pretty sweet deal considering the location and view. It`s only a few steps to a tiny park in front of the mosque and you can walk to the metro and museum of egypt. They also offer tours, the prices seemed moderate.

really enjoyed this place even just for our very quick overnight stay, delicious breakfast with jam, baguette & egg & great tea. Check in quick & easy so we could get to visit the pyramids as quick as possible on our short stopover

I can't imagine having had more help during our stay in Cairo. Our flight and bags were delayed but the hotel sent a taxi driver who waited patiently for us (at 3 am!) with a great car. Dia recieved us warmly upon our arrival and was happy to accommodate a few requests right away. After serving us a delicious Egyptian breakfast (falafels, pita, beans, greens and tea!) in the bright and airy common room, Dia then spent the rest of the day calling the airport for us to check on our bags. He used his personal cell phone as well as the land line to try all the numbers they gave us and translated the news while he encouraged us to roam the city. He gave us directions to everywhere we wanted to go and advice. Dia will arrange the BEST priced tours and taxis for you, and will give you the insider's tips on anything you do while you are here. The hostel itself is on the 4th floor of a cool old building right across from the museum and a 2 minute walk to the metro and Tahir Sq. We felt so safe and slept so well here. Rooms are simple and shared bathrooms are in a line in the hall and we never had to wait to use. Wifi is fast and free, tea and coffee as you wish, a nice TV and 2 sitting rooms and balconies will make your Cairo stay more than pleasant. The african hostel's building looks like an ancient palace in scotland,we have been told that this building is the oldest in downtown-160 years old-it is amazing.We would stay here again.

arabian nights hostel in islamic cairo area is perfect if you want to avoid downtown midan tahrir area (protests/ demonstrations). the hotel is literally 5-10 walk to the khan khalili market and the al muizz st where you can do a walking tour to see a lot of amazing complexes, mosques. it is also across the street from awesome koshary restaurant! rooftop is lovely to have breakfast. staff are incredibly friendly, made me tea everynight. rooms and bathrooms are alright, not great but functional and value for money.

i recommend the cairo city center hotel to everybody who wants to feel the impulses of the real egypt and cairo. than hotel is really in the center of the city, you can reach every tourist district in minutes. however except from the hotel we didn't see any tourists. the tharir square and the egyiptian museum is about 1 minute far by walk and we can go on walk for shopping, to restaurants, to bazaars or to the famous confectionary al abd as well. the staff is very nice, helpful, polite and always smiling. they are at your disposal in everything anytime and it is worth to ask them to organise tours for you (for example: to the pyramids of giza and saqqara, river cruise on the nile etc.) the room was snug with a nice view and the breakfast was enough (we were two women :)), and they have great coffee. so if you would like to see the real cairo, choose the cairo city center hotel.

Located downtown in Cairo, this hostel is overall fine for its price. Some rooms have balcony, so your hand-washed clothes can be dried quickly.

Busy district of downtown Cairo, you can feel the vibe of Egyptians. Street markets are nice and the party goes on late at night. There are a couple of bars nearby. The hotel is fine for the price. Elevator is old but working. Everything else is working. Real friendly staff.

I stayed here 5 nights and it was good value for money! * The hotel has a boutique style charm - it’s basic but very comfortable. * My room was spacious and clean - I would recommend a room with a balcony. * Location is great - 5 min walk to the museum, 10 min walk to the Nile. * Staff are very friendly and accommodating - they helped me organise all my tours over email before arriving and checked up regularly during my stay to ensure I was happy with everything. * Airport pick-up & drop-off was well organised * My tour guide (Abdul) & driver (Kereoles) were the BEST - they made my time in Cairo very enjoyable :) THANK YOU! * Prices for room, airport transfers & tours were reasonably priced. * Check-in and check-out was simple and easy If you’re only in Cairo for a few days, spending most of those days out and about, and all you need is a place to sleep and shower...I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. i enjoyed the hospitable atmosphere and the tours arranged by mr haitham alexander. i especially respected the knowledgeable guide ahmed in cairo. the quality/price ratio was excellent and the location of the hotel is superb.

Small hotel in central Cairo - walking distance to all the attractions, staff assisted with good tourist info and tour packages. Staff really went out of their way to accommodate our needs -We were allowed to book in earlier as our flight landed at 05.00am When there was a problem with the lights in our room , they offered us another room. Showers are a bit awkward, as it is not separated from the rest of the bathroom - a bath mat would help! We will recommend this hotel to all our family and friends who consider visiting Cairo!

I booked the hotel for 1 night to check if good to extend and upon arrival I found very good value for a stay for this price and stayed the rest of my nights in Cairo at this lovely place , recommended !!!

I had a funny experience, coz when I arrived at the hotel, I was walked to another hotel in the neighbourhood. The place looked like a normal flat on 6th floor, that had been converted to a hotel, but the staff was nice and the internet worked fine.

SUPERB LOCATION FROM THE ENTIRE PLACE OF INTEREST, CENTRALLY LOCATED, WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT IN PLACE LIKE EGYPT WHERE THERE IS SO MUCH OF TRAFFIC. LOCATION WISE BEST PLACE TO STAY. MR EID OWNER WAS VERY MUCH HELPFUL, HE GUIDED US VERY WELL, HE HELPED US AND ARRANGED RENTAL CAR FOR ALEXANDERIA, HE ARRANGED VEGETARIAN BREAKFAST FOR US. HE WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR GUIDING US WHICH IS VERY MUCH NEEDED WHEN YOU ARE VISITING DIFFERENT COUNTRY, THEIR GUIDANCE HAS HELPED ME A LOT. AFTER CHECKOUT HE EVEN HELPED ME TO KEEP MY BAGS AT THE RECEPTION BECAUSE MY FLIGHT WAS AT NIGHT. AT EVERY STAGE MR EID HELPED US WE ARE THANKFUL TO HIM FROM BOTTOM OF MY HEART. EVEN WHEN WE WANTED TO GO FOR SIGHT SEEING HE ARRANGED BREAKFAST VERY EARLY IN THR MORNIGN ALSO.. Rooms very big space with comfortable bed . We slept sooo deep. Thank you cairo inn we will be back

I chose the Golden Park Hotel because of its proximity to Cairo International Airport. It's a budget priced hotel ten minutes away by taxi or Uber. The room was decent: not too small, and the air conditioning worked well. Satellite tv afforded a number of options. The breakfast buffet on the top floor with the outdoor veranda was quite nice. The neighborhood is safe if not exactly enthralling. Staff were kind and spoke English. In sum it's a good option for a budget minded traveler who is coming in late from CAI or has to catch an early flight.

I stayed for a total of 6 nights. I took a cab from the airport. I was charged 250 EGP. I suggest getting online and booking an Uber ride (it costs less than 200 EGP). You can buy a local SIM card at the airport for 200 EGP. Well worth it as it is cheaper to take Uber than regular cabs in Cairo. Everything with the hotel was fine-- strategic location, good (changing) breakfast, competent and responsive staff, good security, good amenities and facilities. The only complaint I have is that I tried to book an airport transfer to the hotel upon arrival and sent the message through Agoda. I never got a response (nor the transfer).

Located just off Mokattam Street in Cairo, the apartment hotel seemed a bit 60s in style, especially the one-bedroomed apartment I stayed in. Not much to praise in terms of creature comforts - very small TV, kitchen with few really useful appliances but would be ok for home-cooking. Bedroom upstairs was ok but all was pretty cold and decor was dubious! Also, there was a lampshade made of many glass balls hanging low over the kitchen table (the only place I could get a weak wi-fi signal) and when I got up I bumped against the lampshade and got covered in filth.. not cleaned very often, if at all. Pretty grim location, too/

The staff and owner are very accommodating and friendly. The location is very safe and convenient. The atmosphere that the marble tiles give really add a special feel. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. I'll also mention the great antique building. Cairo heart is very clean, bed and pillows are comfortable with beautiful bedding. Ice cold bottles of water always available. Welcoming attitude. Honest with costs regarding tours and services, which were offered without the usual high-pressure sales tactics so common in Egypt. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. He also speaks perfect English. booked a private English guide and a car to go to Saqqara, Memphis, and Giza. Perfectly organised and a decent price! He also recommended a good restaurant in the area (Felfela).also WIFI is so fast we will be back for sure

I stayedthere during my one day layover, from 5 am to 12:00 am. Shortly after I got off the plane (even before going through passport control), I met a hotel employee holding a paper saying my name. I was surprised cause I was not really sure if someone would actually come to pick me up, let alone before even entering Egypt. With the help of that hotel employee, I went through the passport control really smoothly (obviously he knows the officials quite well). Airport shuttle bus leaves every 20 minutes. However, I did not see any shuttle bus coming at 12:00 or 12:20. Seems that there were not enough passengers. So I told the front desk and he arranged a driver to send me to the airport at 12:30. Next time I transit in Cairo, I'd probably choose this hotel again.

I have to say Mr Wael is the best, he always did more than I asked for. Other staff were also very nice and helpful. Location is a bit far from city center, but not so far by taxi to City star- a big shopping mall which offers many options for eating. Shower room is tooo small, like 50*50cm, even difficult to stand in for people thin like me. Cleaning staff could had done better, they cleaned my room but still left hair inside the shower room. But price is good so in total it is worthy anyway. Compared with other hotels with way too high prices or old facilities, it is a good choice. Next year would like to come back here again.

I had sooooooo much trouble looking for the hotel. The local taxi drivers (not just one of them but a few of them) have no idea where the hotel is... One of them kept telling me that there is only two hiltons in Cairo, and we had to go to all two of them before we've finally arrived at the right one, the Cairo World Trade Centre Residence. When we arrived at the other hilton (the wrong one), the hotel staff gave direction to the taxi driver already, but unfortunately he still sent us to another wrong hilton... when we have finally arrived at the residence, the hotel staff helped us negotiated with the driver over the taxi fare(we suspected that he intentionally took us to the wrong hotel). Anyhow, after getting back the "extra" money which were supposed to go to the taxi driver, we gave them to the hotel staff instead as they were of great assistance and very professionally mannered.

At first, the name of hotel made us confuse coz it is Nile hunters not Nile Seasons. Maybe it is right beside the 7 stars 4 seasons hotel. But at the end, they regcornised our reservation code and I found the wifi name Nile seasons hotel. That made me agreed to stay. Hotel was developed from apartment and guest could be discover how an Egyptien Apartment inside. Breakfast is good coz included in the reasonable price. You could walk along the road to the bridge, visit the Opera house in the morning. But the trafic is dangerous when no crossing way for walker (same as everywhere in Egypt). Wifi is slow and not working at my level. Only available in reception level.

We have some cities in Egypt to visit, Cairo is our first destination, then we will be in Alexandria, then back to cairo. During our travel, the staff Sammy from concierge help us to book the excurison and help us with train tickets and arragne our luggage to airport which we need not be back to Hitlon, and he kindly call me for many times for my agenda changed, and he communicated with me actively, this egypt journey thanks to him, it is very comfortable, if there is next time, i still choose this hotel as my place, thanks to it.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Our experience was great but not as good as our first day. The reception seemed a little disorganized during check-in, and allowed a couple people to cut the line (the people who cut the line also took up quite a bit of time -- they weren't just there to ask quick questions). The doormen were very insistent on taking our bags (for tips) even when we explained that we could manage on our own, and seemed offended when we didn't let them take our bags. Overall, however, this hotel is still excellent. Its location and amenities can't be matched by any other hotel in Cairo, and the service, despite the minor incidents above, was excellent.
