"Crash pad was perfect for a solo traveller with lots of plans in Cape Town! AMAZING value for money! A bed, full bathroom, and a but of space for a suitcase. Not super tiny (as they imply on their site) but just perfect for someone who literally just needs somewhere to sleep! Tons of common space throughout hotel as well. Whole place is super funky - amazing tile work and great murals throughout. All staff - from housekeeping to safe to reception and concierge - was amazingly accommodating and helpful! "Really enjoyed my stay at City Lodge Hotel Grandwest. Staff were amazing. Best part was the close proximity to a casino with a difference, focus being more about food and ice skating. Had the ambiance of New Orleans French Quarter without the music. The artificial skies in the Casino complex were amazing. The Cape Town Fish Market the best restaurant I've been to in Cape Town. Hotel itself has one of the best beds I've slept in. All amenities and toiletries provided with a smile. "
