Traveling to Thailand? Find Chiangkhan hotels

- It was a great time visiting ChiangKhan in rainy season. - The hotel has no refrigerator in room but you can leave at the lobby. - I don't like a pillow, it's too soft. - No need to open the Air-Conditioner. - You can borrow a bicycle for free but it has only 2. - The water pressure is great!! I enjoy showering :) - Staffs are very friendly and very nice.

We had a great time at Chiangkhan River Mountain Resort. We are family with young kid. Even though we stayed only one night at this hotel, everything was impressive. To start with, we got free upgraded to the bigger room with more beautiful view of the river. The hotel staff was very nice, helpful and polite. That was one of the best points of the hotel. The room itself was huge and comfortable. We stayed at the four-bed villa with the access to the river. Everybody in our group had a great time staying there. The breakfast was great too. The staff was so polite and eager to serve us. The dining place was huge and clean. The food was good. We love everything about this hotel. We highly recommend it.

This hotel is comfortable & traditional like home, design to oldie Thai house & classic. Locate on main road of Chiangkhan. In the morning you'll meet the best feeling from many things ex. weather , culture , food. You can ride around city by bike. I think you will like this hotel & want to come again!

First of all, in Chiangkhan you can have a broad selection of guesthouses in romantic wooden houses with Mekong view for little money. However, personally I try to avoid mosquitos and other insects as much as possible so we chose one of the few 'real' hotels, even though it is a little bit far away from the main street and pricier as well. Because in Chiangkhan everything happens at night (between 5pm and 9pm, after that this charming little city is dead again) we didn't mind to walk 10minutes to the main street. If you don't like to walk you can rent bikes for 50thb/day. The hotel also the city is very popular for Thai tourists. Breakfast is Thai breakfast (fried pastry with sweet condensed milk or rice soup, instant coffee), which we found a little bit disappointing for the price. Overall the rooms have a very sweet design, they have a beautiful terrace to relax and everything is super clean and new and if you are lucky, you have Mekong view as well. However, personally, I would not go there again because for the money you can get a nicer hostel more central (but then I would try the 'walk in' option),..

The hotel itself and its facilities are perfect for couples, the location is very near to Chiangkhan Night Market and also on the bank of Khong River, so you can enjoy the scenery of the river together with the atmosphere of Chiangkhan community at the same time. However, during my stay at the hotel, the public pavement along Khong River was under construction which critically ruined the mood. Hopefully, it will be finished before my next time there.

We stayed in this hostel on the second night of our trip in Chiangkhan. The location is great. We can see Mekong river clearly from our room. There are restaurants nearby so finding food is not an issue. Plus,the owner is also very kind. She let us checkout late due to our late flight in the afternoon. Comparing with other hotels we stayed, we like this one most. Highly recommend!!!

In my opinion, it is the best hotel in Chiangkhan. The price is reasonable, green hotel. Love the rooms with the view of Khong River (room No. 1 and 2 upstairs, also 1 downstairs).

It was great they have no noice wonderfoll garden nice color on the building breakfast was small but very good it was inaff not lång way to the city and not lång way to a leg with market great market and everything in loei is sheep and good kvalite We want to go back to this Hotel and this aria.

Had the deluxe mountain view and it was just stunning! Beautiful to see the moon and sun rise. Would go back again. The cleanliness isn't the best, dust on furniture and room, shower had mold. But not an issue with the views that were available. The food was good and the staff was friendly and its located about 10-15 minutes from downtown.

Hotel staff very friendly.we walk to old town street.Bycicle free of charge. You can cycleling as much as you can.hotel bld had build like old building style. Enjoy to the riverview back side of the hotel.Local style breakfast.high reccomend hotel in chiangkhan.

Having read the comments we decided to book the Peony room, which is upstairs overlooking the Mekong river. It is a wonderful room which we recommend you to book if free. The location of the guesthouse is ideal at the start of walking street in the northern end. All within reach but still quiet so you can enjoy the view from your balchony. The guesthouse provides free wi-fi, free bicycles, parking and breakfast is included. We enjoyed our stay. Chiangkhan is a good place to go to relax and unwind.

We stayed in third floor suite. Very nice large room and bathroom with spectacular tub. Only a hand shower, no regular shower. They could use some towel racks but hooks suffice. They could also use a second beside table. The bed is the most comfortable I've experienced in Thailand, where they are usually too hard. Great balcony overlooking walking street and view of Mekong river.....full of tourists at night during holiday. Loud speakers with chanting or PM early in the morning are a bit jarring, but assume that is the same all over Chiang Khan and much of Thailand. Breakfast was limited to Thai choices, the rice soup was very good. Evidently you can ask for eggs but not evident when we were there. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Very nice service and very good room. If you are finding the best hostel or location. I would like to recommend here. Moreover, you can enjoy with the night market nearby this hostel as well. However, next trip I will choose this hostel for sure.

We're very happy about the size of the room, it was huge! and it was also very clean and full facilities. One little problem that occurred was the parking place for our car. We had to park our car at the other guesthouse which owned by the same owner and walked to this hotel, the walking distance was 1/4 of a mile but if you traveled there with a car then make you have available parking space because there were not many space there for parking. By the way, breakfast by the Mekong river in the morning was awesome!

We stayed here 3 nights, very happy at this place, felt like home. P'Kung the owner, took really good care of us, she gave us many information about where to go, what to eat, what to do at Chiangkhan. Nestled in the heart of Chiangkhan, we feel this place is closed to everything we need, close to walking street, local food shop, temples, 7/11. Every evening, we just relaxed at the ground floor, chilling, enjoying the good atmosphere. we will definitely come back to this place again whenever we are about to visit Chiangkhan!

Another very good hotel In Chiang Khuan ....Its at the end of the town but 25mtrs from the river promenade so a lovely walk into Walking Street etc... Car park , good staff, clean rooms , good price and braekfast.... VERY GOOD

we arrived there early morning, but couldn't get into the room until 2pm. if your trip wasn't planned very well, you may ask from the reception, the tourist map or the chiangkhan guidebook are available for guests to borrow. the hotel has little balcony just next to lobby that you can sitting there, reading some nice book or even have a nap.

An interesting wooden hotel of a type that used to be common in Thailand but which have all but disappeared today. Small rooms, but spotless: comfortable bed and good sizes bathroom. Recommended. About Chiangkhan: I went to run the marathon. Why anyone would want to go there otherwise is beyond me. The term “tourist trap” seems appropriate.

Resort is just opne on Dec 2012 so condistion is very good. I got very good service from resort's owner. At mornig time, I got resort was covered by fog with bit cold. That is very fresh for me. This resort suit for customer that have private car only due to it far from walking street around 15 mins. This resort was located at the middle way to go to Phutok. For traveling that desire to stay 2 night at chiangkhan. I advise 1 night at this and 1 night in Chiangkhan city.

enjoyed our 2 nights stay at tao kae lao. the friendly young couple owner goes all out to serve us during our leisure 2 nights stay there including arranging for a half day tour around chiangkhan as well as ferrying us to buy bus tickets back to bangkok! great service!

The breakfast is from the shop next door which sell noodle/porridge and it's very basic. The room it's self clean and nice. Location is right in the night market and it's so much fun during night and early morning for morning alms. The owner is so friendly and helpful. I gave value for money only 3 out of 5 stars due to I feel it's a bit expensive. But I guess, many hotels on that area also offer the same price.

We book for 2 rooms (villa and standard ) . Room is clean , comfy bed but the location quit far , breakfast was ok , the nature around is beautiful If you are looking for somewhere quite , here is a good choice but if you are looking somewhere close to main street and restaurants ,here is little bit far for you

Easy to find with a car park nearby...location is excellent in the middle of all activities and next to the river...Rooms excellent ...a/c TV etv Staff very helpfull and efficient...Ols World Wood Thai hotel but superb Breakfast is coffee, toast , egg omlette with pork slivers but good. RECOMEND

Great little spot, as close to the Mekong as you can get. My room overlooked the river, a little dated, but functional. Cozy, honey feel to it, although some difficulties communicating with staff when the owner was not about. Would recommend and stay here again

We had a very great time there. My BF got an accident there and the owner were very kind to us and take a very good care for us. We really appreciated. The room was very clean and the atmosphere was very good. They also have a nice coffee shop and a little gallery downstairs. Also they cordially answer and explain us for every question. I can not say that This is the best place in ChiangKhan but I only know that When I think about ChiangKhan,Mae Nam Mee Kang gnna always be the only place we think about.

I had a well sleep at the hostel just make me feel like home. The hotelier got me impressed taking a very good care of me and my sister. It's just only 3 minutes walking to walking street. Definitely, I will be staying here when I come Chiangkhan next time. If anybody ask me suggest an accommodation in Chiangkhan, Capsule Hostel will be my first answer.
