Traveling to Brazil? Find Foz Do Iguacu hotels

I really can't say enough great things about this hotel. If you have a chance to stay here, do it! The only downfall was that we only booked one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The price per night of this hotel is high, but worth every penny. It is charming and offers all the services of a five-star hotel and spa without ever being pretentious. The food is exquisite....it is a true dining experience. The spa is wonderful and offers a wide range of services...you feel very well taken care of and the atmosphere is relaxing and calm. The pool is lovely and has tables set nearby for dining. The rooms are on the smaller side, but are nice and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is covered with beautiful blue tiles and has great bath products to use. We were upgraded to a room with a partial view because of availability, but most rooms with a view still have the falls partially hidden by trees. Internet is fast and included. Breakfast buffet has a wide array of options. The hotel is close to the airport. At most a 10 minute cab ride to the front park entrance and from there a shuttle from the hotel takes you the rest of the way. The location of the hotel is superb with a beautiful panorama of the falls just off the front entrance of the hotel. First thing in the morning, at sunrise, it is quiet, serene, and simply impressive. Check out the view first thing in the morning before tour buses arrive and at sunset after the tour buses leave. You will most likely be the only one out there to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the falls. I would stay here again in a heartbeat...for the charming hotel architecture and decor, the genuinely kind and hospitable service, the privacy to view the falls with few others around, the lovely spa, beautiful pool area, and the amazing food and drinks experienced at every meal. This hotel has it all....it is in a league of its own.

We were delighted that we chose this hotel. It is in a good location in that the Bus Terminal for Iguacu National Park, Itaipa Dam, Bird Park and Airport is a short walk away. The same applies to the bus that travels between Foz do Iguacu and Ciudad del Este, Paraguay (Bus stop is directlty across the road from the Bus Terminal). Good restaurants a shops are also within walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a mini refrigerator. The breakfast is extensive, varied & sumptuous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee, water & large flat screen TV in lobby sitting area. Adequate swimming pool with chairs, tables & loungers. We would definately return to this hotel.

The stay at Hotel Harbor Colonial was comfortable. The location of the hotel was amazing! Only minutes away from the airport, and walking distance to Iguacu Falls. The buffet breakfast was excellent - much better than many hotels that I've been to. Good selection and good quality of food. The rooms were standard, nothing flashy about the rooms. The hot water in the shower was a pleasant surprise (after learning that not many places offer hot water in Brazil). Overall it's excellent value for money considering the golden location and reasonable price of this hotel.

I like so much and i recomend this hotel. it's nearlly of many places. we like the time pasted in the hotel when we have fun.

This is the best affordable place in Iguazu Brazil. Whichever type of traveler you are, this is the best cleanest and centrally located option for you in the city

Overall our stay was good. Hotel location is convenient and staff were helpful. It's a relatively new hotel, so the room has smell of paint. Room was a bit cold as we travelled during winter and there's no heater.

Wish I could've stayed here longer. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the well-designed spaces.

Hotel is close to airport and close to Brazilian side of the Iguacu falls. Breakfast was excelent, room was clean, Wifi worked ok, there was a pool, agency where you can book a trip, a bar and a restaurant for dinner. It is hard to find someone who speak english (except at the reception). The problem is that you need a taxi to get anywhere (to the shops, other restaurants, city centre,...).

Suitable for trips in the Iguazu region. In the center of entertainment pubs and restaurants within 20 meters

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. The receptionists were very helpful. Great info about surrounding area and parks and public (bus) transportation. Good details on laundry, post offices, banks. The hotel is on Avenida Brasil (nice street for walking and window shopping and stopping for a beer and/or snack). It's a stone's throw from restaurants, pharmacies, bars, cafes, laundry, and bus station (for transport to Falls, Aves Park or Dam; Less than one USD one-way. so easy a third grader could do it alone). From the hotel, it's an easy 15 minute downhill walk to a big, air-conditioned, upscale shopping mall. Victoria's perfect English and information were a plus. Promote that young lady to manager!!!!

Its a run down hotel. Its time of glory was at the '70, but it dramatically needs a renovation!!!

Excellent, comfortable hostel. Easy to get to from the public buses and airport, friendly relaxed vibe, and restaurants/cafes in walking distance. Wonderful staff, clean and comfortable beds. Only trouble is sometimes the WiFi is weak upstairs, but still usable. Highly recommend for anyone stopping through Foz do Iguacu.

The place is more expensive than most others in Foz do Igauzu, however it is 5-10 min WALKING to the gate of the Falls (a huge plus). It is a lot cheaper than the hotel within the park itself. So if you want to do things in town, you will need a taxi/car. It is also very close to the Airport (5 mins ride). Taxi fare R20 (Nov 2011). The room is standard with TV, phone, refrig, nice and clean bathroom, comfortable beds. There is a bar for late night meals. The restaurant serves full breakfast buffet which is decent but nothing to write home about. Around the hotel is a nice garden, and little "forest" in the back where you can stroll around. The swimming pool seemed nice. There is a decent exercise room.

I stayed 2 nights at the Hotel with my sister, and it was brilliant, mainly because of it's location. It is only 1.6kms away from the airport and 500m from the National Park which houses the Iguacu falls! The breakfast was great (never seen a greater spread of cakes!), and the receptionist extremely helpful. We had an early morning flight, and they arranged fruits, juice and cakes for us to have before we fly off! Really loved the hospitality.

An excellent hotel and I would book/ recommend Del Rey without question. From the fast and friendly checkin to check out everything was very smooth. The hotel is very functional, everything is clean, and I had 2 very solid night’s sleep. Where they went beyond the normal chain hotel (and many 5 star hotels) was with their pro activity eg suggesting on check out they could store luggage before we even asked and then offering for us to use the pool and shower upstairs to change before the airport. All the staff were very friendly from reception to house keeping to the happy bar tender on the roof terrace. The only thing to improve for me would be breakfast - there’s slots of heavy carbs and cakes - would love a simple fruit basket eg apples, bananas

It’s a good hostel. Cheap, clean, and close to the falls and bird park (all within walking distance). Would recommend over any of the fancy hotels downtown.

Receptionists at the front desk with good attitude were helping a lot when I did the check-in with plenty of questions. The room is spacious, though no compliment drinking water and hot pot in the room. Since the hotel is besides the main road of the town, it may be some noises happening in the night, e.g., people driving by with loud talking. The breakfast of the hotel is very good, and the atmosphere is quite relaxing for guests. It took me 41 real to the airport by a taxi, which is better than I thought. People of the Iguacu I met with are quite nice. I shall like to revisit, if I have a chance.

the hotel is near the bus terminal which is within walking distance. this is good as you can take buses to iguassu fall on argentina side. the room has a very big king size bed and huge room which is clean and very comfortable. staff are very friendly and can speak very good english esp like us who can't understand spanish at all.highly recommended.

The hotel room wasnt ready. There was no towels in the bathroom as we had to request for it. Also, the bed wasnt well prepared as their blanket was just a sheet of thin linen without actual blanket. The blankets were in the closet. The hotel didnt provide any free bottles of water and they charged over priced, about USD 3-4 per bottle (approx 250ml).

Recanto Cataratas is a beautiful place with good access to the main touristic attractions near Foz to Iguacu and Itaipu. The hotel is good with wonderful facilities. I really enjoyed the pool, sauna and all other amenities, it is ideal for an after a long day tour, just sit near the pool and drink something. The restaurant is very expensive.

We enjoyed our stay at Rafain Centro/ The location is great, in the center and many good restaurants around The staffs, especially Mr. Marcos was very helpfull and friendly, He really help us when we tried to buy some paintings about Iguazu Falls The breakfast was great. The room was big enough with balcony. The only problem is the out dated bathroom. Maybe, they could improved it in the future

It is a very nice hotle surrounded by many lovely trees with very friendly people there. Breakfast is attractive. Hope some personal belongs available,such as toothbrush, something for making hotwater. A little disappointed is that can not communicate well in english. If more people there can speak english will be more helpful to customers

for those who wish to stay at the town of foz do iguaco on the brazil side of the iguazu falls, the bella italia provides good value for money

The hotel's rates were reasonable and its location super for the traveller who likes to walk around and find local food to taste. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly, knowledgeable about tourists' interests/spots, made suggestive recommendations about what we could do or see, and spoke very good English, which would have been problematic for communicating with non-portuguese speaking guests.We were pleasantly surprised with the array of breads/cakes at the breakfast table. It was presented so appetisingly that anyone entering the breakfast room would have had their appetitie increased just looking at the presentation. Good job. We would recommend this to anyone who likes a good all-round stay experience.

I had a nice stay, nice big rooms, just a little annoyed about the location quite far from the city center. However busses are cheap... They arrange tours to Foz do Iguazu but the tour for the Argentinian side of the falls was quickly booked which made me spend more time and money to go there myself.

Our first rooms air conditioner was very noisey but when we complained they moved us to a different room with a new air conditioner which was much better. Breakfast was nice but basic. Toast, cereal and sweet cakes. Sometimes some hot food but no eggs. No English speaking staff made things hard to communicate but they seemed nice. Great location from the bus stop but far away from the Main Street. This didn't bother us as we ate at some good restaurants in nearby streets.
