Great city with lots to do and friendly people, however downside is the poor standard of food and service in too many restaurants & cafe's
Glasgow is a beautiful city. It has many beautiful old and ancient medieval buildings (solidly built), historical sites/features such as famous monuments, cathedrals, museum, walk squares and universities etc.
Such a wealth of things to do, visiting churches, museums and parks as well as bars and theatre. Friendly helpful people
Different from Edinburgh, Edinburgh is one with more historical feeling while Glasgow is one with artistic design feel. When walking along the streets, a simple building will give you sense of artistic beauty.
First time we have been to the city, would come again, lots of landmarks & museums - which are free to enter.
Amazing city. If you like charity shops Byres Road and Dumbarton Roads are the place to go. Lots of great architecture around the central area.

Glasgow is an exceptional city to explore. The history is absolutely amazing and so romantic. If you are Canadian you will see the immenseness of the Scottish involvement in Canada dating back 100's of years.
Glasgow is a very bright city by night. We feel safe to walk around the city even at places where there is not many people as the city is well lit all over.
the Lychee oriental chinese 59 mitchell street provided an excellent meal it is down a drab side street but don't be put off by this the service and food are excellent good value for money Cafe Gandolifi was wounderfull for a relaxing sunday morning breakfast but its better to book even for breakfast.
It was an old city with lots of historic buildings, however, not very well maintained like those in London.
Been here for the second time and this time was for my MBA convocation. Compared to the first visit in year 2004, it's was different feeling.
It is very different from Edinburgh and still seems to be trying to she'd it's working class background.
