This hotel suitable for family with kids. Pros: - Impressed by the hotel facilities especially the indoor kids pool, indoor playground, etc - welcomed by the friendly staffs. - nice breakfast - super nice, big & clean room, thumb up. Pros: - location abit far from town for those who drive like us, this hotel really a place that u cannot miss. We stayed Taiwan for 7 night but there only one night we stayed here, compared to the rest this is the BEST hotel I guess

I reached the hotel at 9am. When for check-in, but they say the room was not available yet, probably 4pm. So we left our luggages with the counter. The stay was included with 2 theme park tickets , 2 dinner and 2 breakfast. The room was meant for 4 person but there is only 2 of us. So we proceed to the theme park. We had to walk 100 m from the resort to the park. (10mins walk). We went there on a MOn, therefore the park was so quiet. Basicially not many people, so all the rides we do not need to queue. Even if you are the only one taking the ride, they will also operate for you. You can take as many times as you want. The park close at ard 4pm. Therefore, we proceed back to resort for activity like pinecone ostrict handcraft which is free. Then after, we went to see their main show. It was perform by 5 africans. Their singing and dancing were very great. But we realised all performance were performed the 5 of them and it is almost the same. We then find it quite boring to watched it 2nd or 3rd time.I think they can better improved in this area. The resort room was great, but we aint facing the main animal gallery where the giraffes, rhinos, zebra, flamingoes, racoon, etc. We were on the zebra cottage side(left building) but facing the outside, where they are only racoons, goats and llamas. But we are pretty close to them compared to the rooms facing the main gallery.Ours is on the first level. The beds are huge with two big pillows and two small pillow on each bed. The high table was great as we can sit there and view the animlals. Toilet was split into WC and shower. WC alone with door. And shower room with two shower cubical and 2 basins. This shower room do not have door but only a pull down bind. Dinner and breakfast was buffet. We make cab reservation from front desk from Resort to Hsinchu HSR was fixed NT600. When we came, we took a car from Hsinchu Railway Station to Leofoo resort was NT800. This was quote by the Hsinchu 101 Hotel staff.

This is a relatively new hotel in Hsinchu and is quite nice. Excellent staff service all round. Not much near the hotel except for a convenience stall just by the side. Didn't like the 11am check-out policy.

Very friendly staffs. Free shuttle every morning to my work place in SciencePark. Although it appears to be a high rise hotel with many floors, the reality is hotel rooms start on the 6th floor. It has one of the largest facility for banquet and corp events with multi-floors to host them. Also one of the most popular buffet available in Hsinchu. Expensive considering the local standard of living lower than in the US. Buffet has half price promotion between 2:30-4:30pm and in the weekends, you can see a long line of people waiting to get in around after 2pm. Mostly locals. Room floors require room key to access the elevator which is nice. Bathroom toilet uses the highest end Toto Neorist motion sensing fully automatic toilet and washlet which is really nice.

We stayed here for 2 nights for our free and easy trip in Hsinchu. Hotel room is ok and bed is comfortable. The reception staff are very nice and friendly. Hotel is also very near to night market (城隍庙).

What more can I say. I've tried many hotels in Hsinchu and keep coming back to Shin Yuan. Best value for money. Nice room, great staff, above average breakfast, central location and good price.

We have stayed few hotels in Hsinchu and Sol sits at top of my list in terms of location, room size and value for money. Breakfast was pretty average but again it is included in the price, even for the cheapest room (no window) which is great value for money if you are not too fussed about window. We stayed at Delux with a window which is pretty generous in sizes. Room services need some improvements though as every time you ask for something it takes quite some time (1-2 hour). Ambassador is much better in terms of room service however have to point it out Ambassador is a 5 star hotel so it is not apples with apples. Our advise is that if Ambassador is on special (110 AUD ish), go for Ambassador. If value for money and location are important, Sol will not disappoint.

Located at the heart of Hsinchu. The opposite is a police station and karaoke. Nearby also have a lot of nice food.

my first time staying in hsinchu and i was very satisfied with this hotel. it seems to be the tallest building within hsinchu city and the interior is very comfortable. relatively large rooms, comfortable bedding, extensive dining options -room service and restaurant and basically all facilities you'd expect from a 5 star. whilst i have no experience with other hotels in hsinchu, i will stay here again when visiting hsinchu, as opposed to staying in taipei.

Location was convenient ( 2 min walk from high speed rail ). Breakfast was sumptuous and free late night meal was absolutely delectable (we had local Hsinchu rice noodles and meat ball soup before getting rest, really tasty). The room was cozy, they even prepared special bed and cute bear doll for our child ,will love to stay here next time visit hsinchu.

The room has great design of a lovely spa tub right beside the king size bed, breakfast was lovely too. Recommended for couples or even families with kids. Overall fantastic service, location is alright with 15 mins walking distance to Hsinchu city.

Bed and linens were clean, comfortable and soft. (Though my bed was a little bit wiggly if you move too often/fast). The bathroom and shower were complete with basic toiletries. I love that they opted for shampoo and shower gel dispenser instead of the tubes (more eco-friendly). I hope they can find a more eco-friendly options for the other toiletries. They did housekeeping the next day after we check-in. They replaced the water bottle and the used towels. The whole room was very spacious as well as the bathroom and shower. The location is more or less 20mins from Hsinchu Station (TRA) and not the Hsinchu Train Station (THSR). (My bad that I got confused between the 2). If you like walking, then the distance would be bearable for you, plus you get to check out stores and restaurants nearby. Invest on English classes for the front desk staff please. Overall: GOOD

I booked the date wrongly and only found out when we reached the hotel front counter. The staff Ms Rich was so kind, she helped us out by contacting Agoda for us and rearranging the room immediately. The room was super nice and cozy! We had a wonderful time staying here. Highly recommended!!

The staff of this hotel is AMAZING ! The best service I've experienced so far. The lobby staff always greet you with a smile. They anticipate your needs the minute you step into the lobby. There is this particular guy who is just superb. When it rained, and by the time I stepped out of the lobby elevator, he would rush out to the lobby front door to hand me an umbrella. When I return to the hotel, he would ensure to get the elevator. Their service seemed very Japanese style with great courtesy. I LOVE Lakeshore staff. I'm not sure how the manager trained the staff, but they are just so attentive to guest needs. I don't see such service even in W hotel or some of the Japanese hotels. Great job, Lakeshore !!

Even though this hotel is business hotel, the service is much kind and sweet. Especially you could enjoy the steam bath in the room for relaxation. Regarding the location, this hotel is just nearby the downtown, actually, just cross the railway. Within 5 min. you could arrive Hsinchu Station, Big City Mall, and East Gate Tower. Within 10 min, you could enter into Freeway No.1 and Sicence Industrial Park.

We had a very relaxing and quiet stay in this remote hotel. It is on a mountain and quite remote. We drove straight there from Taoyuan airport in about 50mins. The dinner and breakfast was very good. There is a friendly dog and a cat on the compound and they were a joy to be around.

I personally think the hotel room and the facilities are quite out-dated. The breakfast doesn't taste good. Unless you really want to enjoy some fresh air and natural scene otherwise I don't recommend this place much. I admit their room charge is pretty cheap and the room is big, and this is the reason for me to have a try.

Very pleasant stay in this hotel, everything is good in this hotel. Counter staffs service is very good & helpful, Special thanks to them. Will definitely return to stay in this hotel again and would definitely recommend to my friends if they are coming to Hsinchu.

Love it that the hotel is conveniently located near the Hsinchu Station, the night market, convenient store, shopping, minutes from Eslite bookstore we frequent. We were told that the hotel was >20 year, didn't look it as they had a renovation in the last year. We received an upgrade from twin to a king size bed when we enquired about availability of a big bed as it was not available when we booked online. Every bit was positive about our stay. The room has modern furnishing and comfortable for 2. Our room was on the 7th floor. We noticed that the rooms on the lower levels were different, still the traditional fitting of a business hotel. So check out 7th floor onwards. The hotel has 2 locations, opposite each other. Not sure about the difference, we were in A building. Walking distance to transport, local food and shopping, malls. We took a free shuttle from one Sogo to another and watch a movie - it was not part of our plan, that day was just too chilly, and things just worked out that way.

The front desk staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. During the whole check-in process, the staff is not smile and it seems I bother her or if she is in the bad mood. Also, I need to remind her if there are any newspapers for reading next morning, as she did not mention it at all. It is really a disappointed check-in experience, if it is a real Five Star Hotel?! I cannot feel Five Star service at all. I guess if I encountered other front desk staff, I will have better impression for staying at Sheraton Hsinchu Hotel

room is very big and clean. Big Jacuzzi bath tub and free adult movie to watch. More for couple get away.

This hotel is perfectly located just a 1 minute walk from the Zhubei Train station. The complimentary breakfast and easy access to local transportation make it an easy place to recommend to any traveler in the area.

Very pleased and satisfied overall. Super value for money if you book during Agoda sale. Room is very big, housekeeping service is excellent and staff are friendly and accommodating. Only downside is the buffet breakfast, if the spread was more then the hotel would score a 10/10. Would strongly recommend travellers going to Hsinchu to try this hotel, no regrets. Definitely my choice again if I were to go to Hsinchu.

Hotel is old but clean and cozy. Hotel staff are friendly. Comfort room is clean. The room that I got has no smell of cigarette like what I read in the previous reviews. Near to the Hsinchu train stations and malls. The price is worthy. Needs to improve? Maybe the breakfast meal. I will give 4 out 5 for staying on this hotel.

This place is simply fantastic. Beautiful buildings and breathtaking compound. The dinner was the best Chinese food we had in ages!

Cool place, very clean and great value for the money. Depending on what you want to do with your time in Hsinchu the location may or may not be the place for you but it’s a ten minute walk to the train station if you wanna hop on over to the Hsinchu Station area of town. GO VEGAN (and eat at Vegeter).

Good decision to book on this hotel. Very close to Hsinchu train station and accessible to malls, restaurants and supermarkets. We got the value for our money! Breakfast served is Taiwan authentic food as well.

Clean and nice stay , friendly owner. Slightly far from hsinchu train station , could be difficult if with more than 1 luggage . Otherwise it would be fine to walk and enjoy the view surrounding.

This hotel provides good value for the money, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I did knowingly book a room with no windows, which can get claustrophobic after awhile. It is a short walk to the Hsinchu railway station; note that this is NOT the Hsinchu High Speed Train station, although you can travel between the two stations via a local line (Hsinchu <-> Liujia)
