Traveling to Malaysia? Find Kangar hotels

Overall was good. However I noticed the receptionist was oblivious of in-coming calls. Phone kept on ringing. I am used to SOP of answering calls before the third call. We took up 3 rooms for the family. The second room was wet due to aircond problem that was repaired upon complaint. All toilets are very rundown and need upgrading. My 5-yesr old grand son insisted that he be carried when he entered the toilet. Toilets were clean. The hotel is very old and does require upgrading.Removing carpets from the rooms and replacing the floor with parquet was a smart move. What was obviously absent was a safe deposit box. But I would still recommend people to stay at Putra due the location and it is still the best hotel in Kangar.

we are happy with our stay at hotel seri malaysia kangar. the service is so good. they always help the customers with smile.the hotel facilities are in good order. the facilities included wifi, swimming pool,cafe, karaoke and etc. we had also given breakfast on 18/3/2012 which is buffet. the food quite nice and there have various food for us to choose including malay and chinese food. i would say that the hotel is 5 star hotel,the service is also 5 star but the price is just 2 star. so, it is worth to stay at hotel seri malaysia kangar. i certainly will stay at hotel seri malaysia kangar again if i travel to kangar.

im feels so excited when im reach at this hotel. night life if better than kangar. easy when im reach at the hotel, my booking is nit there. my luck is good because i came earlier, so there are still rooms availables. My booking is seaview, but i get the land view. that is the only thing that i faced.

we arrived at 2am there, and find difficulty to have a parking. just park anywhere as my baby is too tired after 10 hours journey. on the next day, we got summon! fortunately, the hotel staff get it settle for us and we dont have to pay any cents. the room is clean, tidy and very large bed. the breakfast in the hotel is simple. the best part is, it is really close to the kuala perlis seafood centre, or whatsoever you called. just a walking distance.

Old hotel but still in good condition. Value for money for a hotel that located in center of Kangar. Simple.

given the price and the location, it is a good stay if with own transport. Rooms are in much better shape than several of the old hotel in Kangar. Notable weakness would be the TV only having TV1 and TV2 with the rest of the free national channels unavailable. Overall a good stay.

This hotel provides a very comfortable room for me with older children. It was a great experience hotel in Kangar I've ever had when travelling with teenager. But I would like to suggest to the management, please do some changes at the front office to attract more customer, you know the word "love at the first sight". The rest, it was superb room. We arrived late, and by surprised the owner had already switch on the Air- conditioning for all the room booked....knowing that after 6 hour drive from KL and our hectic schedule during the day.... We had a pleasant stay in Kangar!!!! Two thumb up for the Owner......

Our family of 8 + 3 young children rented one of the homestay semi-detached houses for our recent Raya trip, and we weren't disappointed. The house was incredibly spacious: queen-sized beds in all 4 rooms, 3 baths with hot water pumps, large kitchen and spacious living room with ample space for the kids to run around and play in. The furnishing was relatively new and clean. Some reviewers complained about the hard mattresses, and they were indeed very firm, but this feature was a plus point for me as overly soft mattresses acerbate my back problems. There could have been more pillows though, at least 2 per person. The pillows provided were too hard and one per sleeper was definitely insufficient. Bring your own, if you can. 8 towels and 8 mini bars of soap were provided, 2 per room, but no other toiletries were given, so come prepared. Wifi is free with decent service, and our house had a flat-screen TV with ASTRO attached. Plug points, however, were an issue, as they were rather inconveniently located, mostly high up on the walls next to the light switches. The kitchen was equipped with a large fridge, a microwave, hot water kettle and melamine plates + cutlery for 4-6 people. Not quite sufficient, but everything was clean & well-maintained. There was also an iron, ironing board + broom & mop provided. Service could be better improved though. Check-in time was strictly kept to 2pm, almost arbitrarily. We had arrived at 11am and told to come back later, and coming back later at 1.40pm, we were still refused check-in, even though we were informed the house was ready and had already been cleaned. We had to have a ridiculous "talk" with the manager, who finally relented and "allowed" us to check in 10 minutes early. We thought this was quite ridiculous. All in all though, we were very pleased with our lodgings and would definitely consider booking D'View again for future large-family trips to Perlis.

It is a nice and clean hotel for budget stay when you travel in Perlis. As this is not a very big state, the location of this hotel is still ok eventhough it is not located in Kangar town area.

Love the room! Very huge and spacious. Clean. Near to the best places to eat in kuala Perlis. The view is spectacular, surely will book the same hotel again when I visit Perlis next time. highly recommended!! good job :)

It is acceptable for hotel in Kangar , hotel room is clean , only most of parts is old and need maintain but overall is okay .

a family with 3 young children, visiting families in kangar. its more like apartment style, spacious, new furnitures & linens. a bit dusty but otherwise, value for money. cheaper rate if directly contact the hotel. convenience for shopping to bukit kayu hitam or padang besar

Nice ambiance. Located just 6km from Kangar Town. Great choice for relaxing with superb kampung feel with lake and paddy field view. Nice escape place for fresh air. Thank you for good hospitality. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Mama Motel was pleasant. Though there are not many staff attending to your needs but they were very helpful and accommodative. The motel surrounding is peaceful & non hectic. I would stay in this motel rather than the motel/hotel in Kuala Perlis if I want to go to Langkawi the next day. Going to Padang Besar is also no hassle & would take you about 1/2 an hour to reach there. I would stay again in Mama Motel when I travel to Kangar.

This Chalet is value for money It is very clean with air con The staff is extremely responsive

We needed place closer to the town so this is ok for us. They got coway water, aircond and fan is functioning, easy check in and check out. the owner is very helpful. But we hope they could improve the toilet water pressure and put a door at the bedroom. Overall is good

The house the dusty and lack of maintenance. Toilet door unable to lock. Both water heater is leaking which a huge safety concern. A noisy water pump that make noise every time got people flush the toilet especially during midnite. Thin blanket which doesn't match the price of this unit asking.

It's a single storey terrace house. Rooms, dining area, living area and bathroom is nice and clean. All electrical working perfectly. Since it does not provide food, ample food shop around the place. Cooking utensil is lacking even we can cook.

The homestay is located in the city centre vicinity. It is spacious but the owner need to ensure that the place is clean prior to our arrival.

Friendly and helpful staff, room is spacious but needs upkeeping and cleanliness should be more emphasized

If u are nerd person that need 24hrs internet access, there is no wifi here. Outside bathroom is ok, this is tradittional malay village style. Nice staff make u feel like u and they are an old friend. Direction via waze and gmaps may make a lil confusion. Find it till u found. Most of shop nearby will be closed at 8pm. So buy ur toiletries, snack and prepaid topup early.

Really recommended to stay this accommodation.. surely will come back soon.. luxury accommodation with cheap price 👍
