Lisbon makes for a very easy and pleasant short break - it's a very easy city to get around due to the small size and easy and cheap public transport.
Pastelerias and cafes on every corner. Eat the fish, especially the Bacalhau cod. Oriente area has new waterfront with a stadium, Vasko da Gama mall, cable cars, Trams in old town are great.
A great city worth visiting and spending some days. Go to the Lisbon downtown "Chiado" and "Rossio" and explore the site, pedestrian streets, restaurants, and coffee shops, monuments.
In addition to the sights within the city, it is worthwhile to visit the Moor castle in the outshirt of the city which is clourful and full of surprise for many objects to see.
Lisbon is a small but hilly city - with a all day travel pass and good planning you can see all the major sights in Lisbon in 2 days.
I love city because you can see and feel so many things at once. From culture and history to modern. The sunshine, sea and mountains.
Excellent food, prices in general are very reasonable, compared to other European cities. Would love to visit this city again in the future!
lisbon is capital and lots of things to see and good for shopping as well. However, i personaly think that porto ( the second larger city), i think it is nicer and more organize and there are more historical building.
A very interesting city, we have visited many times and will still continue to visit new sites and ones previously visited.
Lisbon is a vibrant, historical city, with many historical attractions, a vibrant restaurant culture, many interesting buildings, with an efficient metro, tram and railway service.
Recommend for those who want to visit Fatima for pilgrimage. Nice clean peaceful city but we found out some locals are not too friendly.
Lisbon is such a pleasant surprise after our visit to Madrid. People in Lisbon are friendlier and helpful.
Lisbon is not as beautiful as other cities in Portugal, there are also a lot of pick-pocketers in main attractions and the metro.
a very historic city with many sites to see. Do make the day trip to Sintra. Better yet spend a few days in that area.
A place full of cultural and historical values, a must visit place! Take the hills tram ride to have a feel of the past how transport is.
Lisbon is absolutely stunning and beautiful. You can enjoy great views from the several miradouro's located throughout the city.

Lisbon is a city with historical roots. While you can admire the squares with all the statues commemorating past heroes/persons, some areas of the city does need modernisation.
Underbara Lissabon. Vi var här första gången o april o kommer definitivt åka tillbaka. Grym mat trevligt folk o så grymt vackert!! lätt att ta sig runt i staden.
visit: S. George Castle, Cathedral, S. Geronimos, Belem's Tower, Ocenario, Sintra e Pena Palace, and the very nice cableway!
Lisbon is a city that full with stories. It is a city for you to explore and discover the other side of the modern city.
Only came to Lisbon after visiting other major European cities. Was pleasantly surprise with what Lisbon has to offer.
Our first visit to Portugal, my Sister and I loved it. Didn't stay long enough. A minivan tour to Fatima and Obidas is a must, our passionate Portugese guide Patrick was a fount of knowledge.
Most times not easy to find English speaking guys. Though directions was pretty easy , and would say many locals are friendly in nature going all the way to help.
Do spend a day to visit sintra town. It is beautiful and away from the city. The tour will also include a visit to the most southern point of Europe.
I have to say that Lisbon is a fabulous city with lots of things to do. From churches to parks, museums Lisbon is for everybody.
One of the best european cities to visit and enjoy ... wonderful places to see, excellent food to enjoy, friendly people and cheap shops with hight quality .
I was very pleasantly surprised with city vibe. Lisbon has very welcoming atmosphere and it is pedestrian friendly.
i expected more of the city and country. the people were not as friendly as i wished they would be and they dont seem to respond well to my sister and i who were in hijab (as we are muslims).
It is a pleasure to visit Lisbon: the weather is very nice, there are several hilltops to appreciate a good view of the city, lots of history and old monuments, good museums, great restaurants
