Traveling to Japan? Find Osaka hotels

We were here for our honeymoon trip. Room was rather small but the hotel itself is very near to Dotonbori Area. Complimentary hot spring at the top floor and free ramen & alcohol drinks from 9-11PM. Full Amenities provided and the room was very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back and stay here and recommend to everybody who is looking for the perfect hotel in Osaka (Dotonbori Area)

Pros: •Literally located in front of Universal Studios Japan, no need to rush going to the train station! •A great view of the park, especially the Hollywood Dream Rollercoaster, which made us want to go back to USJ again soon •Superior room has a deep bath tub which you can use to relax after spending the whole day at the park •Separate room for toilet, TOTO washlet is superb •Large beds compared to other hotels in Osaka •Almost everything is provided for- free bottled water for all the guests, toiletries, bubble bath, comb, razor, Shiseido cleansing oil, shaving cream, bath, face and hand towels. Just request to make up room when you leave in the morning •Hotel is only a few steps away from Hotel Kintetsu, where the Airport Limousine Bus drops and picks up passengers to and from Kansai International Airport. Bus ticket can be purchased at the 3rd Floor lobby of Hotel Kintetsu. Booth is open by 7am, first trip going to Kansai leaves at 9:06am. Cons: •a bit far from downtown Namba, take the JR Yumesaki Line to Nishikujo, you might need to transfer to Hanshin Line going to Osaka-Namba •no English speaking channels We had an amazing experience, we were upgraded to a Superior with park view room. Room was spacious!!! All our queries were answered prior to our trip and everything was okay when we checked-in. Thank you Agoda and to all the staff of The Park Front Hotel.

Unlike many hotels in Osaka which rooms are tiny, Candeo has surprised us with the size and a full bath tub, in addition to the city view (but we were on the top floor and corner room, it’s worth paying extra for this!). It has a public bath but can get crowded in the evening. The hotel is very centrally located that tube stations, Namba, and the fish market are within walking distance. It doesn’t offer as much a variety of cleaning products/ toiletries as other Japanese hotels but compared to the norm of European/ American hotels this is above average.

The location was perfect, right in the center Of downtown Osaka. Namba station which is the connector to Kyoto, Nara and other nearby areas, is just a short walk to the hotel. Dotonburi and all main attractions nearby. Food was excellent around the area. Too much options! Shopping was superb, designer bags, second hand swiss watches complete with papers, clothes, shoes, etc. Heaven for shoppers and food trippers. Room was decent and clean. What you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Bathroom toilet of course the best as it is always in Japan. Concierge was best for keeping our luggage the whole day when we checked out and shopped. Excellent two night stay. Will definitely always stay here if I go back to Osaka.

The hotel is located inside the station. It is easier to travel to any part of Kansai from the hotel. Restaurants and convenient shop, Tokyu Hands and shopping mall are between walking distance. Room is spacious and comfortable. Clean bed sheet and towels are being changed every day, their do the housekeeping properly where you can't find any dirty dust in the room. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to travel to Osaka. For sure, this is my favorite hotel in Osaka. Good Job Granvia Osaka!

Japan is tough for hotels...they are very expensive and the rooms are usually TINY, especially in Tokyo and Kyoto. This hotel was different. It wasn't cheap, but it was much less expensive than the hotels we booked in other cities, but the room was GREAT. The bed was the most comfy we had all trip. The view was excellent. The AC worked great. The bed wasn't in a corner--two bedside tables! And the lighting was thoughtfully done and not harsh. Water pressure was not quite as good as the other hotels we stayed in. The location is in a hotel zone in the north of Osaka, near the main station. It was a decent location. There is a whole maze of underground pathways/shopping areas that lead you to the various stations nearby, so it was always fun walking through those to hit the metro or JR lines. We walked a LOT though. So if you're not into that, maybe stay more central or closer to a station. But it was raining in Osaka and we spent half the time underground which worked out great!

I love this hotel! Was scouring the internet for hotels near USJ and came across this gem. It did not have a lot of reviews when I booked it but from the ones that were left, I was hooked. So I booked a 2-night stay for a family holiday and it did not disappoint. One, it is really near Universal City Station (by near I mean adjacent to it). Universal City Walk is a minute walk while Universal Studio Japan is at most a 5-min walk. Since it is really near Universal City Station, going anywhere in Osaka does not take too long. We went to Dotonbori on our 1st night there. Two, it is new (opened in 2017 I think). Three, the room is spacious (I booked a corner room so it might be bias). Four, the staff are really helpful and super friendly. The cherry on top is certainly the Skyspa on the top floor. (For beginners, i.e 1st time traveller to Japan, it is sort of like a hot spring in the hotel. What you do is you go up to the 14th floor, bring the hand towel provided by the hotel and wear the yukata prepared by the hotel. Bathe before you go into the hot spring and bathe again after. One crucial thing is you have to be naked at the soaking area. You can bring the small hand towel with you but do not wet it at the pool. All your belongings must be stored in the lockers provided and this should go without saying that phones and cameras are not allowed in the spa.) No downside to this hotel although if you want to be picky then the breakfast might not suit your palate as it caters mostly to the locals. My family and I love it tho. Another unique thing about the hotel is the amenities are given freely at the lobby, so a little self restraint is advised. In conclusion, this hotel has met my expectations and more. Will definitely stay here again when we come back.

The hotel is across the umeda airport limousine station so very convenient for airport drop-off and pick-up. It is adjacent to subway station for midosuji, hankyu and JR lines making means of transportation convenient. It is surrounded by shopping malls and restaurants. Staff at front desk are very courteous, can understand and speak English and helpful. Rooms are very clean and bigger than usual compared with other hotels in Osaka. They have repacking / weighing room in the lobby which is very useful and convenient after last minute shopping. The only downside in this hotel room is that you can hear the sound of trains leaving the umeda station. Sound is tolerable and not irritating though.

this hotel is definitely the best option if you're going to universal studios in osaka. the price is incredibly reasonable and the rooms are the best in town. everything is clean and well maintained. i also found the rooms to be very spacious and a little more "western like". it's not for the downtown experience but a great addition to your trip if you're planning to spend a week or so in osaka. taking out money is a bit tricky as the lawson doesn't allow international visas. there is a 7-11 about a 10 minute walk from the hotel where you can take out funds. in fact, try to know where all of the 7-11's are in japan wherever you're staying as they are a great place for not only taking out money but also pigging out on snacks. happy travels.

monterey grasmere osaka hotel is the recommended and best accommodation in osaka. i walked from jr namba station and could reached in 3 minutes. it was very convenience to access many places by public transportation. in addition, if you would like to hang out or go shopping at night in dotonburi or shinsaibashi walking street, you can access there by walking in 8 minutes. i could save the money for transportation and save my time to move other places. for accommodations, room was so clean and new. my family really liked bathroom at the hotel. and we could see downtown at night from our room which located in 31st floor. if compared with price, and quality i do recommend tourists stay at monterey grasmere hotel in osaka because there are many japanese staffs who can speak very well in english and chinese, including some korean language.

Hotel room was small, which is common in Osaka. But it was 2-3 minutes walk from Kitahama Train Station, which was the best thing. Hotel is next to 7 eleven for any emergency food. Good service, cleanliness and facilities as expected in any hotel in Osaka or Japan. Not many restaurants near hotel, but if you eat Japanese, then you have 4-5 good restaurants, and a super market in Kitahama plaza.

We made a great decision in choosing premiere hotel over numerous hotels in Osaka. The hotel is very accessible, very near to train and subway stations. It is sorrounded by good yet affordable restaurants. Aeon, a 24 hr supermarket, is located in front of it (plus family mart and 7/11). The staffs were very accommodating and helpful especially the Filipinos 😊 The room was well maintained. Lastly, the breakfast was good (though the menu was just the same for 3 days). Will definitely book this hotel again

the hotel is perfectly situated amongst the hustle and bustle and nearby streets near dotonbori. when you walk out of the hotel room, after a few minutes walk you are greeted with endless shops, restaurants, and the city buzz at your feet. the room was quite large for japan, and had tasteful decor. we had a great city view from our room. we have stayed in 3 hotels in osaka. if we were to travel to osaka again, we would definately stay here due to the location.

Hotels in Japan are quite expensive so it's a given that you'll pay north of $100/night for a decent room. After looking at many hotels in Osaka and Kyoto, we decided to make Cross hotel our base for 2 nights. We were at the tail end of our 3 week trip in Japan so we wanted a place we can easily access good food and lots of shopping. Cross Hotel gave us that a more. The room is quite nice and more spacious (very rare) than we thought. This is in comparison with other hotels (3.5-5 stars) we've stayed at throughout Japan. We love the sit-down bathroom and the full tub. Amenities are awesome (designer stuff from both Japanese & French brands). As for being in the center of things, this hotel is next to the Dotonburi canal. You have food, shopping and night life in Dotonbori, tons of shopping (and more food) in Shinsaibashi (right behind the hotel), and Don Quijote (famous discount store with tons of stuff) is right in front of the hotel. Namba district is also 15 mins away.

Before go, we check this hotel is ranked No.1 in Osaka hotels in tripadvisor with relative cheap price. We booked in agoda. During the checkin, the hotel staff recommend us to add another 3000yen to promote from 18m2 apt to a 44m2 apt. We accepted. Overall we stayed 5 hotels in japanese trip, this hotel is absolutely the best. Including the price, the staff, the service, the room and the location,everything. From Nankai namba station which is just across the road, it is easy to reach the kansai airport. With 5 min walking distance, it is easy to reach underground namba station. We bought a kansai two days pass in hotel frontdesk and use it to visit nara, kyoto, kobe and Arima Onsen hot spring.Absolutedly perfect! My wife asked for two bottles of water, the staff said OK via the phone and send to our room after 3 min and explained in fact, the bottle water was not included in the service. But since we don't know, they still send us as a service. Very friendly indeed!

Overall feeling is great compare with the other Hotel in Osaka. I was start living in Nov 04, 2019 until Nov 05, 2019. The room is big with 2 separate bed, with a city view. The toilet with a bath tub so you can enjoy at evening. The bed is comfortable not hard and not soft. I will recommend my friend and relative to live in again. Thanks!

It's a safe and economic choice of hotel in Osaka. The SPG brand is guaranteed, but sometimes it cannot fix all the problems the old Osaka Sheraton hotel has. Pros: considerably good location, near Namba area which is the most popular tourist destination in Osaka. Both Osaka subway and Kintetsu can easily connect to Namba station within 5 min, which is walkable distance. Just taking the elevator down to underground from the hotel, Kintetsu train station is right on B2 floor. Cons: Osaka Sheraton Hotel has all the old grandeur, which can noticed from the classic elegant lobby. Staff are all very hospitable. Sadly the hospitality couldn't save the old rooms. As long as you don't have too high expectation for the hardwares, such as wall papers, closets, Japanese style toilet and the A.C., the rooms could reach above the standards: very clean and the much bigger room than the most hotel rooms in Osaka. Sheraton Osaka is a very good choice for its price and location.

Osaka View Hotel Honmachi ticked all the boxes for our enjoyable 5-night stay in Osaka. It's not exactly a budget (cheap) hotel when in Japan, but this accommodation offers a good price and a good value for money. We chose to stay here because of its prime location. Hommachi is on the Midosuji line and that is the main line accessible for most of the tourist spots. The central location makes it easy to get to the top-rated attractions in Osaka. Hotel is really convenient being beside Shin-Osaka Station. As in all major stations in Japan navigating to look for the path to the hotel does take a little time but nothing really complicated. Just follow instructions in earlier reviews looking for directions to McDonald's and you are done. It is actually on the west end of the station. Great value for money and super staff.

Honestly, this could be the best hotel I have ever tried. - The price of this hotel is cheap while I actually did not expect they can provide such good services. Its setup does not look like a hostel. This hotel is exceptionally good based on the price. - The staff, in fact, not excellent in English, but they can communicate in basic English that the check-in was efficient without any problem. - The room, a bit small, however, it is typical in Japan. You will see they paid effort on some details, for instance, they provide cables for charging your phone while not many hotels do this. - The WiFi is wonderful, ~5MB/s which is fast enough. - The bed, comfortable and big, no problem at all. - If you requested not to clean the room, they will put a bag contains all materials for you at the door of your room. - The breakfast, the food is not as many as I read the comment online, but at least it is good enough for breakfast. I'll come back again if I go to Osaka.

First stay in Osaka and to be honest I had no idea where the central tourist spots in town were. I picked this hotel because the rooms looked a bit bigger and I liked the hotel's general style. Turns out the hotel was very well located in the centre of town, right in Shinsaibashi (shopping district), walking distance to Namba (or a single stop on the subway), and very easy to get to Osaka Castle. Breakfast buffet at this hotel was awesome, with a good food selection and great quality. Lots of fruit juices too (also good quality, not the cheap over sweet stuff). When I return to Osaka I will definitely be booking here again.

It was our first time in Osaka & in Japan. Miss Kawahira made sure that we were treated well & that we had the best experience at Hotel Universal Port Vita. She personally wrote us a card to wish us a Happy 28th Wedding Anniversary. Miss Kawahira has excellent work ethics, is dedicated to her job and has a welcoming & caring personality. She went out of her way by providing us with clear instructions on how to get from Yokohama to Hotel Universal Port Vita by the Shinkansen train & then to Lake Biwa by the JR train. She recommended us to some areas of interest & even walked us to the pier to catch our boat ride to the Port of Osaka. I hope her manager will recognize Miss Kawahira for a job well done & make sure that she receives the employee of the month award for her outstanding service. We stayed at the Premium Double Room and it was much better than expected. + great location, within 5 mins walk to Tennoji station, which is 3 stops away from Namba + clean and nice room decor for a four star hotel. It’s got a sofa area and walking space on each side of the bed (relatively spacious compared to many hotels in Osaka) + connected to multiple shopping malls and supermarkets, great for getting last minute shopping before heading to the airport + direct train to Osaka Kansai International Airport in 50 mins + friendly staff If they improve on these things, it can become a higher tiered four star hotel - provide complimentary bottled water. Even though tap water is drinkable, every other four star hotel we stayed at previously offered that, it’s hard not to compare. - provide in-room safety box. Reception told us they can offer that centrally but not in-room. A bit old school to be honest. - better quality amenities and pumps - more tv channels

I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel. I stayed 4 nights first, then I left for 3 nights in Kyoto, and came back again to stay here for 2 nights. They provide luggage storage for free. The staff was genuinely help me when I checked in at night (23.00-24.00). Many thanks for Mr, Yahata. You are one of best hotel staff I meet. Location is superb. The downstairs to subway (Kitahama Staion) is only 8 meters from the hotel. One of the important thing about this hotel: you can ride train by Keihan Line to Kyoto directly from Kitahama Station. It is very convenient to travel between Osaka-Kyoto. It is also convenient to travel between this Hotel and Kansai Airport. (Only one transfer at Tengachaya Station). Superb! The beds were comfort and clean. The only thing that should be improved: The Laundry room only provides 3 machines and one of them is broken. I suggest they should provide at least 5 machines.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed while in Japan. We stayed in a delux triple room which had three single beds and plenty of space. The hotel is new with excellent service. The hotel is connected to JR Bentencho station via a walk way which was easy to find. There is also a Family Mart opposite the hotel. Plenty of restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we are in Osaka.

We had a very pleasant stay. From the airport, we managed to catch a Kansai Airport Express train going to Kyobashi so we got off at JR Fukushuma without changing trains in Tennoji. We arrived in Hotel Hanshin at around 930pm and got our room key in 3 minutes, very efficient. The rooms are relatively small but large enough for 2 persons and always clean and bright. We were given a comfortable room at the 22nd floor with a fantastic view of the Umeda Sky Building. The bathroom had complete amenities and even had a hot spring water option. The best feature of the hotel is its 5 minute access (literally a few steps across) to JR Fukushima station that linked us to other JR trains for Kansai airport, Kobe, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima (via Shin Osaka), Osaka Castle, Tempozan, Universal Studios, Namba and other Osaka locations. There are 2 convenience stores right beside the hotel, a great steak place, several Japanese restaurants and the usual fast food outlets (Mac Donald's, Mister Donut and Mos Burger). The clientele were mostly local businessmen and touring couples like us, none of the noisy group tours jamming the lobby. The only minor downsides are its use of the old metal keys instead of plastic electronic keys, no in-room safe and the need to buy TV cards (not important to us who were always out anyway). I have stayed in 5-star hotels in Namba and the Osaka Business District but none of them can beat the convenient location of Hotel Hanshin. I will definitely stay in Hotel Hanshin on my next visit and also recommend it to my friends.

We ended our self-drive in Shin Osaka station and Remm Shin-Osaka hotel is located at the Shin-Osaka station. One point for drivers to note, the hotel entrance is located on Level 12 so it is not accessible at road level. Location-wise, the hotel is seamlessly connected to Shin-Osaka station linking subway, JR and Shinkansen. We are overwhelmed by the range of eateries at the station, so breakfast is not an issue. The hotel staff is also very helpful. I like to nominate Miss Yamaguchi for her tireless efforts in assisting me. Well done!

Rihga Nakanoshima Inn is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The hotel locates right beside the subway exit, has two 24-hr convenient stores downstairs, and has one 24-hr Ra-men shop and Gyuudon stop nearby. What I liked most about this hotel is their service. The front counter was nice, but the maid service was just amazing. I will just give one example to illustrate how excellent their maid service was. We put an glass with unfinished water beside the television. Normally, the maid would either throw the water away or just leave the glass as is. What the maid of Rihga Nakanoshima Inn did was: wrap a transparent plastic bag on top of the glass to prevent dirt. They even folded our clothes for us. I don't know if this is their SOP, but we were truly amazed by the 5-star quality of service they offered. The room was small but, well, it is Japan so we really cannot complain too much either. The room has a press ironing machine and TWO hairdryers (one normal, one salon grade). Besides the toothbrushes and those common items, even face cleansing foam soap was provided. I don't even know what more I could ask for. I do have some suggestions for the hotel management. 1. WIFI is not very stable. I often got disconnected when I am uploading my documents. I did try to use LAN (with cable provided in the room), but the LAN was not working at all. 2. They should use a plastic garbage bags for the trash cans (in the room and bathroom). Although the maid empty the trash everyday, I think it it better to have garbage bags installed since not all the trash is dry.
