Traveling to Thailand? Find Phetchaburi hotels

We are a group of 10, booking for two rooms (each room with 3 double beds) but there was a large group on the day we booked so that we were offered an upgrade to 4 Jacuzzi rooms to solve the noise issue, which sounds nice at first. However, the two rooms had malfunctioning facilities (one with air-condition and another with piping issues). Anyway, the staffs helped fix the problems back to satisfactory level, so we're okay with it. Overall facilities are great with two nice swimming pools, a mini fitness, a lovely dining hall. I recommend you try eating dinner in this hotel. It actually tastes a lot better that those nearby outdoor restaurants with an equal or cheaper price tag! If we had known this earlier we would have just dine at the hotel both day. Staffs at the reception are lovely and can manage our request to book a rafting service for us with ease. Would stay here again but try to avoid the high season period as it might be too crowded.

i Tara Resort and Spa is a gem in the Phetchaburi area. The secluded beach is pleasant despite having quite a few shells scattered around. Staff are very friendly and attentive plus the breakfast included is pretty good. You choose the options from the menu ranging from Thai dishes up to American breakfast and Danish pastries. The Beach bungalow is an excellent room, not too far from the beach and with the door open you can hear the sound of the ocean. Overall an excellent place to stay and will be returning again for New Year :D

The hotel is not far from the city, and is not crowded. Rested quietly in the Puktien Beach area, not a typical touristy spot but got some of nicest beach on the upper south coast on the Gulf of Thailand. Hotel is clean and seemed family owned, small numbers of room so make the hotel very private, great staffs and good breakfast although limited selection. My only complaint was the signage, and road leading to the hotel

I am somewhat hesitant to quibble over the problems with the service because I really did enjoy my stay at the Boathouse Paradise Resort. It was a very beautiful place, right on the reservoir/lake. It was very quiet, peaceful. The swimming pool is large and clean and well designed. The rooms are intricately designed so that you feel like you are in a cabin on a large boat - all wood with well crafted carpentry. The shape of the rooms is even remniscent of a boat. However, the regular rooms were somewhat dark - it is such a beautiful place, with gorgeous and manicured gardens, that larger windows would have been appreciated. However, you could walk around or sit on the porch to appreciate them. The service...well, 'mai dai' = cannot; very inexperienced, unlike the service of many other hotels or resorts I have visited in Thailand. They are very nice, just not very experienced. They speak very little, if any, English, so if you do not speak a little Thai, you may have difficulty getting anything out of the customary service. The food was good, although the wait was a bit long, but not as long as another review suggests. I eat mostly Thai, and so did my associate, and we were both pleased with the flavor, amount, and options. They even let us have a mix of American and Thai breakfast - however, my Thai friend had to do the ordering - my Thai is okay, but not good enough for 'un-customary' requests. One afternoon we were ready to go out kayaking with their kayaks that are right there on the shore - but all the paddles had been taken away by some worker - they were returned by 5 PM but that seemed a bit naive. There was a another group there that was unable to kayak that afternoon as well, then they saw us out on the lake, but the staff did not tell them that the paddles had returned...again, I think the staff just needs much better training - they are well intentioned but very inexperienced and not attentive. But they are very nice, not dismissive

We were the first customer they had and they did a pretty good job at making us feel welcome. They greeted us with a welcome drink and upgraded us to their jacuzzi suite. Most of their villas are duplex and the wet bar (beer and soft drinks and snacks) are free of charge of restocked daily. The hotel is new and is located right next to the beachfront. There is no sandy beach area for you to go swimming in so if you are planning to go swimming you will have to walk down to the beach area close by where there is sand. Breakfast is a la carte and they did a good job making both Thai rice porridge breakfast or American standard breakfast with eggs and bacon and sausages and bread. We would say this is a place for people to come with a book and read and relax and get away from Bangkok rush. There isn't much to do around here but you can go into town where they have beautiful temples and a nice national park about an hour away.

The room we got was very spacious and well-decorated even if the wooden floor is a bit worn out. The bedroom has a very large and comfy king size bed, and the bathroom is very clean except for the floor on the outdoor shower that has many leaves. The view of the sea that this hotel gives is very spectacular and this would be a great place for all beach lovers. The breakfast however was a little disappointing. We weren’t offered with a lot of options and the food tasted bland. Overall, we feel that this place has met our expectations in many ways and will be back here if we by chance come to Phetchaburi.

Everything is above expectation. Restaurant inside the resort is good also, especially for dinner. The only drawback is a part of the resort is under construction that may cause inconvenience.

Lovely place. Had not expected this kind of boutique small resort in this area. Excellent service. Their staff made us feel as if we had our own private villa by the sea. Had no issue with the so-called Thai breakfast. I had egg and oatmeal with honey as they recommended, daughter ate pork congee, and husband had hainanese chicken rice. Tip: We asked for their English tea set to be served at 11, instead of right after breakfast. So we ended up having two free meals from them: Breakfast and tea meal. Excellent value for money.

We loved staying at this hotel. The setting is beautiful and we loved having breakfast in our room in the morning instead of the usual impersonal dining room usually found in hotels. Staff were helpful though their English is a little limited. All said, we had a fabulous stay and will definitely return.

A lovely resort with helpful staff. Situate next to own private beach. Nice pool. Large garden. Room a bit oldfashion but well maintainance. Nothing much to do, just swim,read a book, sleep in a lazy day. Breakfast so simple not variety.

I'm very impressed with all of the staffs. They did an excellent job and displayed a very good teamwork.

Sea sky resort can be considered as one of my best stay thru out my road trip. The staffs are all very friendly, room are clean, beach is clean, quiet yet cosy. Love this place. I will definitely come back again. Strongly recommended.

We were a group of three staying in two rooms, and really enjoyed our one-night stay here during a long weekend roadtrip around Phetchaburi. The view was excellent, it was quiet and peaceful (surprising lack of bugs for being by water, although maybe we were lucky). They put our three bikes for us, which we didn't have time to use, unfortunately. 'Outdoor' bathroom was fun, room was simple, tasteful, clean. Great wifi. Breakfast included fresh-ground coffee and toast, and the staff were very kind and lovely. Would definitely go again!

Good Location with 7-11 just across the opposite streets. Many eateries near the hotel too. Big C is also within walking distance.Staff is friendly. Room is clean. Worth the money. One thing to note is there's stray dogs behind the hotel's carpark so you've to becareful at night. Overall a good hotel stay for a short stay over at phetchaburi.

The hotel is right on the Kraeng Krachang reservoir. Great view from the hotel room. Staff were friendly. When we traveled, the lake was overflowing and the villas were under water. we stayed int the building which was above water. The restaurant of the hotel was under water too. But the rate was cheap and you better not expect much. Absolutely value for money.

beautiful beach resort only 2 hours drive from bangkok. great place to getaway for a few days from the craziness of bangkok. sea view room had floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of chao samran beach. bathroom had great rain-like shower. courtyard pool was beautiful and refreshing in the hot weather. breakfast was well-cooked with a vegetarian option. staff were friendly and smiled a lot. most staff do not speak english but the owner's sister is fluent and very helpful with information on chao samran and the nearby town phetburi.

we don't care about old hotel, but we care about cleanness and friendly staff. The first time we met staff, we feel good to met her,she's friendly and truthful smile. we think we will contact staff again when we checkout that all for us. But at night we have some problem, we must ask some help from them, they help us with kindly service and absolutely with smile. One thing we don't like this hotel is the outside view of my room, because we see only the back of building behind the hotel (the front of hotel is good view) if some suggestion, may be refine on the roof with partition (may be tall trees etc.) if it impossible. but this not big problem for us to stay here.

We have stayed there a couple times already and each time we visited, new fun things are added to the resort. Food is quite good and very reasonably priced, served at a new dining hall. Our 6 year old boy enjoys the place so much as there are so many things to do. He got to go swimming with fun water slides (be careful, the way up the slide is a bit slippery, should put a set of cement stairs there instead of a rocky incline). He got to pedal the boat on the lake, visit the fresh lobster farm, feed the fishes, and the list goes on. There really are a LOT to do, next time we will go camping up the mountain. Our boy even got to play with a drone and even drove a motor boat taught by Mr. Alongkorn himself!! Which brings me to the best part, the owner/host himself. He is a very friendly and attentive host. We always felt welcomed there and he always made each trip special in some ways...we can tell that he really enjoys being a host. Thank you for a fun stay, we will be back!!

Old but well functioning, clean room. Attentive staffs. Foods are acceptable but there are a lot more better places to dine out in Phetchaburi, go eat elsewhere. No fitness, no swimming pool.

Very attentive staff, great food, beautiful wines, quiet rooms and interesting surroundings. The monkeys from Phetchaburi are just around the corner, as are other points of interest.

felt like our own private place well it was ,only 3 rooms and we were the only guests for one of the nights cooked our own BBQ,such a nice thing to be able to do. Thai food for breakfast was far better than western food. rooms are small ,but clean and comfortable. owners are so nice ,it was a real pleasure to meet them,and have them take care of us. i don't live far from here ,just 50 min driving,so i am sure we will be back many thanks for a lovely stay important ,you do need your own transport,but that is true for all the resorts around this area.

for fishing this is the best value for money there is 3 lakes the one near the restaurant is the cheapest only 5 pounds a day with fish over 100lb and lots of action the main lake has fish over 200lb but cost around 100 pounds but you get a guild with that rooms come in 2 types basic and very nice the only down part is the beds are very hard

If you are into wildlife stay here. The grounds are fantastic and the people that run this place are passionate about all things nature. They are very knowledgeable and have a variety of guide books to pour over. We splurged and spent two nights here and were very sad to leave. There is no WIFI in the rooms, but it works OK in the restaurant. Breakfast starts nice and early so you can eat before sunrise to maximize your morning. The food is very good. The rooms were immaculate. You get two big bottles of water a day in glass bottles (hooray, no plastic!). If we find ourselves in Thailand again we will make a point to stay here.

We stayed in the Resort for 3 nights and were nearly the only guests. That was remarkable as we experienced the Resort to be one of the best we ever stayed in. We were picked-up at the train station in Petchaburi and only after the one hour transfer we have learned so many things about the region from the manager. He as well as all staff members were extremely friendly and took care of us every moment. Thai food was delicious and the resort is beautiful. A trip with the resort-own tuk-tuk to the Worldlife Friends Fund Thailand is worthwhile.

In a good location, strong WIFI, decent sized room with good aircon. Has sat tv but 99.9% Thai. 7/11 is just around the corner as is Amazon coffe shop, Pizza Hut, KFC and the best gym by far I have ever seen in Thailand.

it's worth it. very clean, comfortable bed, kind people. it feels like home they give me good information around there we enjoyed staying i wish i would come i'd recommend this resort!!!

This is a new Resort (6 months old)set in the Nong Ya Plong area about 30km west of Phetchaburi. We are in Thailand travelling around for 3 months. We have stayed so far at 15 Hotels/Resorts. This one is by far the best we have stayed at. Management & staff should be congratulated on the standard of this Resort

We loved this place. After 10 hours of driving from Lampang Province the room was clean, the bed super comfortable. I had the best sleep ever here as it was so quiet. Or dog even loved it. next morning the breakfast was delicious. The people looking after the hotel are warm, friendly and as we travel from Phuket to Bangkok quite a lot we will be coming back. Of by the way, the beach is 5 mins drive away with plenty of food and a 7-Eleven.

Staff were friendly although their English was a bit limited. The rooms were spacious and bathroom features unique. The grounds are well kept and we had the option of using the bicycles to go round the resort area. We were hoping for something closer to the town and while the food at the hotel was nice, it would have been nice to have more choice. Would recommend it if you wanted to get away from it all. It's in the countryside so the stargazers would love it. Hotel owner was really helpful.
