"My second stay here and I believe if you get it at the right price I paid slightly less than £100 for 7 nights it is excellent value. I stayed in a studio very comfortable for 1 but would be a little cramped for more. The location is very good if you are fairly mobile about 15 mins to town centre Portimao and the same to the beach Praia de Rocha... 10 mins to a really good supermarket Continente and close to self service laundry if you are staying any length of time. I really do enjoy the Algarve and Portimao in particular so Studio 17 is a very good base... "

"We have been to this hotel many times and always enjoy our stay. The apartment is spacious and great to have a small kitchenette. The only real negative - we wish the beds were a bit more comfortable. The breakfast is reasonable and it is great they now have someone cooking omelettes, waffles and fried eggs to order. The best thing about the hotel is the lovely location of the restaurant on the river - it is such a lovely view. Also the close proximity to the lovely beach at Praia de Rocha and the surf school which is fab. It is also handy for the town just up the steps where there are plenty of places to eat out. Great family value and will definitely return again."

"Got a very good rate with BF included. Apartment was huge, clean and modern. It was just a few days before they closed for seasonal holidays, so the place was almost empty. Even bigger my surprise when I went to have BF in the morning, that it was still a buffet with lots of choice. Nice! Too bad the coffee was horrible. NESCAFE instant crap in Portugal??? C'mon, you are not for real! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location means you need your own wheels. Would stay again (and maybe will) but bring my own coffee maker"
