"Casa dos Louis by Shiadu is a lovely small hotel right in the heart of Porto on a pedestrian street. Our room was large with a balcony overlooking the street. We had no problem with noise, just close the door. Immaculately clean with a modern bath. Great big king bed with wonderful linens and cool air conditioning. The hotel is full of antiques and they try hard to blend feeling of old Porto with new amenities. They succeeded. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can leave your luggage and explore and they give you a map and make recommendations. The breakfast which is included was the best we had on our 2 week trip. Eggs made to order and real American coffee! If you like authentic this is the place. We felt safe and cared for. Thank you Sara and staff!"

"Firstly, chose the hotel due to proximity from Metro Heroismo (literally 50m away) & Campanha (for our train ride to Lisbon next day). Modern facade, newly constructed (seems to be) both interior & exterior. Option for online check in is available (techy). Staff are friendly & hospitable (Portuguese trait?!). Room is spacious, toiletries included, no kettle for tea & asian noodles(which we brought). Probably can request for boiling water(which i didn’t do). Great location near city center & restaurants nearby for l/d is reasonable. Molete Padaria for breakfast was lovely. We opted for no breakfast (because I don’t prefer buffets) Overall recommendable & would definitley stay again once I can come back to Porto (loverly city) "
