The hotel is amazing for big groups. Nice big 3 bedroom suits with private pools. Beautiful beach with some really cool and unique activities. Breakfast could improve a lot though. It was 3 star at best

The hotel allows the guest to bring the dog. But the guest has to inform the hotel in advance. You might have to pay some for your dog (1,000 baht) The hotel was beautiful but a little bit old for swimming pool. They should fix. it can cause the accident. The food should be more variety. You are 5 star hotel not 2 star. The breakfast was very poor for 5 star hotel. it was my 2nd time here. And I think there will no more to visit this place again.

Let me start by saying that if you stay here you most definately will need some form of private transport (be it motor cycle or car). The main attraction of Sunshine Paradise for me was the location. It is on a very quiet and beautiful beach. Indeed to achieve this to access Sunshine Paradise you must drive along 500m of gravel track. We stayed in the Standard room block and the last two nights in a Garden Bungalow. Both rooms were clean and comfortable and in good condition. The Garden Bungalow was comparable to a room in a 5 star resort. The resort is new and there is still work being undertaken to complete some other rooms. I think the pricing of the rooms reflects this. When the construction is finished and the grounds are fully landscaped the room rates will double! It didn't disturb us - there was no noise. But you will be walking past a construction site from your room to the beach. The closest 7/11 is 6km away in Ban Krut. There is also a Tesco Lotus Express opening soon. There are "auntie and uncle" stores too on the way to Ban Krut selling drinks and snacks. Will return here again - it really is a fantastic part of Thailand!

Rare gem in Thailand. The rooms are simple yet perfect and the bathrooms are fun. Every attention given to accomodation to make you feel that you are living in nature. Great use of natural building materials, yet very contemporary feel. All food fresh and homemade. Best bread I've had in a very long time. The staff really makes you feel like family.

Right across the Soi from the beach, short cheap boat ride to Monkey Island, good food for reasonable prices, relaxed attitude and great for little kids. Nearby restaurants and massages on the beach are cheap and fair quality. Shallow water at the beach is good for kids to play, but not so great for real swimming. Beach had too much trash (seems to be everywhere in Thailand, not just here...I bring a grocery bag to fill every time I go, may not help, but cannot hurt and I can soothe my guilty conscience). Lots of small interesting shells on the beach. Resort is a ways from Hua Hin...800THB for a ride in the back of a pickup truck from train station...arrange through hotel for more comfort. We are in Thailand for 2 years, and will be visiting Dolphin Bay again. Not perfect, but great for the price and great for a 5 year old boy that loves to swim. I gave 5 stars for everything, though others may not consider it "superb" but rather quite good, but given the price, I think it warrants 5 across the board. I was going to give 4 stars for location due to being so far from transport...but that is a good thing as well, nice and quiet.

If your landing in this sleepy town late at night after weeks on a shoestring budget, then this hotel is an oasis. It's clean and professional. Elevators and airconditioning. The staff have a formal, trained feel to them. And the breakfast is real - you know what i mean if you've traveled a bit. The location is fine, easily found. The town is so small, though, that location praise borders meaningless. You will want a scooter to explore the area anyway - ao manao, monkey mountain, the three to five streets, their markets and restaurants.. I will go again. Prachuap Khiri Khan is a relaxing place to slow down and recharge on your travels. It would also be a great part of this beautiful country in which to retire. The people have retained the old Thai smiliness and hospitality. It's the provincial capital, i believe, and this could well account for the obvious government spending found throughout - piers, boardwalks, roads, public buildings, fresh paint, order - a surprise in contrast to towns of a similar population. If you are just passing through, then the Grand Hotel is a decent mid-range value. It lacks the personal touch of a place loved by it's owners, and wouldn't, therefore, be the best choice for a long term stay. But my family and I appreciate it for what it is. If you're researching this town and intend to stay for some time, then include Kui Buri, Bang Saphan, and the other surrounding communities within reach, as I will on my next trip. First time around I was wary of dedicating too much time to a tiny town of little reknown, but already having determined to return, I will certainly explore further. What a stunning country that such beauty can remain on the outskirts of mass tourism for so long. We've been guests in Thailand on six trips over ten years, each at least a month long. Enjoy.

The price is reasonable when we booked this hotel. The hotel decorated in the city boutique which might be more attractive for the younger demographic such as couple or group of friend. However, from the staff friendliness and attentiveness, the environment is safe enough for me recommended to the family with young children. The room is spacious and clean. The food is good and fair priced.

There were some issues with our booking through Agoda, the hotel were very helpful to put things right. Food was excellent. The resort was quiet and peaceful. Overall very, very good. The ONLY things I would recommend for improvement were: The buffet breakfast was changed to a la carte on two of the three days. The day we did get the buffet it was excellent. As elsewhere in Prachuap, there are biting sandflies at the beach so bring repellent. That's it. Other than that it was a perfect and much needed getaway. Hoping to return in January.

Beautiful location. Chairs on the beach right across the street from the hotel was generally empty. This was great for us because we were traveling with our 4-month old daughter. Hotel provided a crib. Unfortunately, there was barely enough room for it in the room. It was fine, though. Rooms were cozy, but comfortable. In fact, most comfortable beds I've experienced in my five trips to Thailand (usually, they're so floppy that they hurt my back). Service was great. Provided a computer with free internet and free wifi for those with cpus. Also provided a slew of free, but dinged up, bikes for guests. For the price and location, it's pretty hard to beat. No party scene was great for us as a family. People who need lots of activities would probably get bored. I'd rather you go to Pattaya or Phuket anyways (I won't be there). But if you want to nestle up with a book, enjoy the sea breeze and relax, this is a great place to do it. Highly recommended undiscovered slice of beauty. I hope it doesn't grow too quickly and lose it's charm. Lots of excellent Thai food, but not a lot of Western food in the area (an excellent Italian place - Kasama's -- is a 10 minute walk away and a burger place is about 5 minutes away). You can even buy diapers in the tiny town (hooray). The only downside I can see to the place is it's harder/more expensive to get to (at a reasonable time) than Hua Hin - trains only arrive either late at night or early in the morning. Buses are uncomfortable with a baby. We got quotes from several private to rent a gigantic van to take us and two friends to the resort from the airport in Bangkok. It took about 5 hours to get there and about 4 to get back. Best price we found was 4500 baht, but keep negotiating.

Although or because of it's located in very ruraly place, it's a very calm and relaxing hotel. Be careful because of the distance to Prachuap Khiri Khan, it's about 100km away. We thought it,'s closer and had to rent a car to get there :) Nevertheless, the staff is more than friendly and helpful, they really cared about us. The room was perfect, big, clean and had a really wonderful view to the sea. The swimmingpool was beautiful, the restaurant could offer a bit better breakfast, but it didn't affect our positive feeling about the impressive place. Thanks to the staff, we had five fantastic days! we recommend this hotel for everyone who would like to spend a relaxing beach holiday away from typical tourist places.

Unfortunately I stayed only one day here as I was on my way to Phuket from Bangkok with a motorcycle. Nevertheless can I say that this hotel is really fantastic and well worth the money. The only thing which makes me wonder is: How can you put such a great asset at a lonely place like Prachuap Khiri Khan?

I stayed with my boyfriend and my dog. The best thing about this hotel is you can bring your pet if you book a Villa room. The room is a bit smell but i don't mind as i understand that must have been many people stayed over with their pets. very comfortable bed and lovely private room with a garden for your dog... and have an access to the beach!! The beach is pretty quite but that is doesn't matter. the best thing about this hotel is that they provide a lovely breakfast! i mean yes breakfast is fantastic just like 5 stars hotel. thank you

Even Lipda Resort will open only 1-2 months but we are so impress in all staff when we arrived to resort because they take care customer with service mind, professional and smile all the time. This resort stay too close the beach, Wi-Fi signal is so fast, Breakfast and all menu are delicious. We recommend you all to book this resort / hotel and you will feel gooood likes us. We also believe that it's values with your payment. Finally, we will return to Lipda Resort again surely.^^

This place is nice if you want to escape the crowds and feel of a large resort. It was good value for money and the property well maintained. The hotel organized lots of excursions, which is really good. The food was very good and value for money. I live in Thailand and would probably come back if I was driving from north to south again.

The best thing about this property is it's lovely staff. From the reception staff, to the cook, to the groundskeepers, each of them had smiles and warm greetings and went out of their way to be friendly and kind. We arrived at 2am because of outbound traffic in downtown Bangkok---the next morning we were too late for breakfast, as we slept in. The cook offered to open up the kitchen and set everything out just for us so that we could have breakfast. And all done with a smile and genuine kindness. We were traveling with my small dog, so we loved the pet-friendly villa--the outdoor shower and 'garden' type space were great for the pup to be able to just wander outside and be contained. The grounds are beautiful. You will need a car to stay here---which isn't a problem for us, as we live in Thailand and have our own car. The plus side is that this area is very little known to tourists--mostly geared towards Thais, so the beach area (outside of main holidays) is mostly private and clean.

What a great find for an overnight stay while driving Kog Samui , to Prachuap Khiri Khan, to Bangkok. Would have liked to stay longer. Definitely need a car if venturing away from hotel. Upstairs room (they did have ground floor villas) was a minor problem for our old legs, but room was good value, facilities good & staff attentive & friendly.

With the price we paid, we didn't expect a true first-class facility, so it was a very much pleasant surprise. The view from the room was good, but from the rooftop, we got a lovely sight of both sunrise and sunset. The beach in front of the hotel is pretty and peaceful, much to our delight, but we loved swimming in and enjoyed the sea view from the infinity pool on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and always showed eagerness to serve. Wonderful staff, indeed. Breakfast was good, but we didn't eat lunch or dinner there as our favourite seafood restaurant near the Sam Roi Yod national park is only a few kilometres away.

.. this was my second visit to tri - shawa resort - this time i could book for just one night. the resort still has its charms: lovely staffs with warm smiles, and the town of Prachaup Khiri Khan. i still managed to use the bicycle at the hotel (just 100 baht to rent) to bike to town in the morning. though my quality of sleep was rather poor due to the funny noises made by the air condition throughout the night, i still want to return to this lovely resort when i get a chance!!!

The villa is clean and beautiful.The pool size is medium. Staff have service mind and friendly. If I go to Prachuap Khiri Khan again I would like to stay at here.

This was our 3rd time at Bayview Beach Resort over a period of 5 years. Yet again we had a fabulous stay and were remembered and warmly welcomed. All staff were lovely, the room spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The meals were very good, reasonably priced and authentic. The ideal place for a get away from it all break. Despite it currently being low season everything fully available. Locally it is like being in the "old" Thailand.

Our second visit to the hotel was better than our first one. The room was comfortable and beautifully appointed and the staff was very attentive. One of the gems in Prachuap Khiri Khan.

I stayed here with my friend for 3 nights on our way to south to Ban Krut. Hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. The hotel was surprisingly completely full but didn't see but few souls around. Room was quiet and had very good and quiet ac with fabulous sea view. No balcony. They dont have a restaurant on their own but serve free coffee (instant) all day long and has cheap prices for beverages at a lobby. You can also bring your own food and drinks and enjoy them at a terrace with a sea view. They have also brand new cafeteria at the terrace where a young boy prepares the best coffee you can get in Thailand. Americano with milk only 50bahts. Prachuap is a little nice town and great for few days stay. Extremely safe, clean and quiet. You can find mant restaurants nearby. Ciao pizza and Top Deck (our favourite on this holiday so far). Prachuap is not great for swimming and the hotel neither the beach has sun loungers. Make a trip to Ao Manao to see wild langur monkeys. You can also feed them and they are the friendly ones. If you take a saleng (tuktuk) there you need to rent s bike from ao manao in order to cross the runway to the observation area. If in good fit climb to the mountain next to it and get the views from 300m height. It takes about 45-60mins to get there. Older owner of the hotel speaks good english and is very helpful. Worth visit and will be my choice if I ever go back to Prachuap Khiri Khan

The Green Beach Resort is located on a quiet stretch of coastline, protected by national park status, between the towns of Hua Hin and Prachuap Kiri Khan. It is just far enough from Bangkok to be away from the masses, we paid 2500B for the 3-4hr taxi ride from Don Muang Airport (use the Hua Hin tax rates). Suitable for families and anyone wanting a very quiet, relaxed holiday. The resort is clean, well kept and the staff friendly and attentive. For the price, the quality of accommodation and service was very good. The resort has a small shop on site selling drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices. The swimming pool is excellent, with a small children's section my 18 month old loved. It is kept very clean and there are sun lounges available in the sun or under the shade of trees. The few negatives: Breakfast - the choice was very limited, eggs, eggs, eggs, rice or rice. A pity, because we saw the food the chef was capable of cooking when some other guests ordered in the evening. Location - the resort is right at the end of the bay, about 1km from where most of the restaurants are. Its either a long walk in the sun or a cycle. We couldn't cycle as the bicycles provided (free) didn't have a baby seat on the back - unlike another resort near by...

A very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Although I’d describe this as resort accommodation. I have been visiting Thailand 31 years, now residing for 19 years. Travelled extensively throughout Thailand and this is by far the best resort we’ve stayed. Some may consider rooms small but I would say that they are normal size. More important, they were comfortable and clean. TV had a large range of channels and the best quality picture I’ve seen at any Thai Hotel. The swimming pool is a good size and looked very clean. The restaurant is at the front of the property with lovely sea views. Food was excellent with a lot of choices. Great service by lovely smiling staff. If you’re planning a trip to Sam Roi Yot this is the place to stay. We will be returning soon.

We came with my 82 year old mum and stayed in high quality bungalows next to each other. The staff did everything to help my mum. The resort is small and has the personal touch. The swimming pool is great and the food on the beachfront bistro is first class. We travel a lot over Thailand, staying mostly in predominantly Thai areas. Bang Saphan has a bit of both. The beach is on a long part of coastline that does suffer from washed up stuff but nothing offensive and the Thai residents do clean up every day. This resort is quiet, clean and comfortable and the garden beautiful. The value for money is excellent including the food. We will definitely be coming back here for a longer stay. One of the best resorts we have stayed in.

I stayed a week in Thailand throughout various cities but staying here was my favorite part! The hotel is in a great location if you want peace and tranquility. The area is quiet and relaxing. The food was delicious. The hotel lets guests use free bikes and motor bikes, which I was able to use for a bike ride along the beach (which is a MUST). There are various bars and places to eat on the main street. This hotel and location is ideal for people who want a break from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. 10/10 would stay here again!

The staff made sure to bid our every request and the best part was that since my mother was suffering from slip disc they gave me a room right by the parking area so she didn't have to walk as much. So I might add that this resort is disability assistance friendly. The pool was huge and mean huge and its view towards the beach was mesmerizing. I went during a busy season so the studio room itself wasn't as good. It was clean but with old furnishings and beds that squeak. As I am a vegetarian they made breakfast up to my dietary restrictions which was perfect. The quality of breakfast and the restaurant ambiance could have been better. But for a quiet holiday with all the necessary amenities and under budget, this hotel is a good option. I enjoyed the bike rides, pool, view and the peace that surrounded it. I would book a villa next time I go there instead of the room. And I hope they upgrade the furniture by then.

Hotel facilities: -coming with large and nice pool with ocean view - nice lawn in front of the pool next to beach front, this is truely deliver relax feeling. - bicycle, kayaking is there, and hotel is next to the canal where this is originally fisherman village and surrounding by the hill, trust you didn’t kayaking or cycling or running without anything to see, here you do it in the local interactive. Location: - Privacy and stunning in overall. - Beach front, with canal on the side where it is a hundred of fishing boat going in/out during the day, trust it could be lively and could be noisy depend on how you look at it. Not the best for people with out private transportation, as there is nothing surround. - beach quality, not Recommend to who would like to swim in the ocean, this is not possible here, more into scenic or walking on the beach. Services: in general was ok, but do not expect 5 star standard.
