Traveling to Thailand? Find Sa Kaeo hotels

We enjoyed our stay at Velo's. The hotel is very clean, spacious and nicely laid out. It has a nice pool, gym and its own cycle and bmx track if you're feeling like a little exercise. I love the hotels bike theme, a lot of thought has been put into it. The rooms are a decent size, comfortable beds, blackout curtains, good wi-fi signal and good size bathroom. Breakfast was very good catering to both Western and local travellers. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only negative remarks is that there was a bad smell from the bathroom drain, it's a new hotel so there is probably blocked pipe somewhere along the line. Also I couldn't find any English TV channels. Other than that it was an excellent hotel and I would happily stay here again. We travel to this city often and I personally feel it's the best hotel available.

Beautiful facilities and pool area and a very good restaurant located on site. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train and bus stations. It was very nice to return to my spacious and very comfortable room after a day touring around the beautiful, but very hot Sa Kaeo province.

The hotel was great... very clean and cared for! The staff were lovely people, attentive and tried their best to help us out the best they could. Though there was a language barrier between thai and english, they still tried their hardest to help. One of the staff even helped us out with renting a scooter from the market which was handy for us to get around. They also have complimentary shuttle service as well which is great. Overall i was quite satisfied with the hotel and would defintely stat there again! Cheers

Very nice hotel, clean, modern and cozy rooms. Wi-fi is ok. Big C is literally a minute walk from the hotel, parking space avaliable. We arrived in Sa Kaeo on bicycles, and we were allowed to keep our bike on the corridal inside, which was a nice gesture from the staff. Everyone were friendly and helpful, morning coffee was a life saver. Small breakfast (even a toast and jam) would be a nice addition. I would recommend!

My friend and I took a trip for some shopping at the Rongklua Market at the Thai/Kampucha border and decided to stay the night rather than drive four hours back home after a long day's shopping. This hotel is new, clean, and for the price you can't beat it. It has plenty of secure parking as well which is the one criteria I must have as I always take my truck. The staff are efficient though not sure of their English skills as I only spoke Thai with them. The only drawback is the surrounding area is desolate at night so you'll need to drive 5km back into Aranyaprathet for dinner, etc. as there is nothing near the hotel that we found suitable. In all, I'll stay again should the need arise to head that way someday. Great value - I fully recommend it - and for sure always book with Agoda for the best rates!!

After a major renovation the hotel is a great alternative in Sa Kaeo, with nice reception area, friendly and service minded staff, comfortable rooms and at very acceptable prices. Recommended!

Everything ok quirky hotel made from containers, this hotel is about 5- 6 kms from the border crossing on the left hand side. You have to keep your eyes peeled as even though its right next to the highway it is hard to spot.Breakfast was basic but is adequate fora quick stay over. Remember a border crossing and return will only give you a 14 day visa in Thailand not 30 days which is what you get if you fly. The border crossing is also teeming with scammers etc so do your research on costs, where to get cambodian visa etc. Once you cross over through thai immigration its a long walk to the cambodian visa office ( past all the casinos ).

This hotel is not as near as others to the border nor a 7-11 but it's tucked away down a quiet road and represents great value for money. The breakfast was set and a fried egg, sausages and a sandwich with orange juice but included ! We drove so there was a parking space next to the room and we checked in late but they were waiting for us. The room was clean, with a comfy bed, maybe a little hard by European standards and a hot shower. There were two free bottles of water, kettle, TV but no English channels and slippers. We used it as a stop off but I am sure you can get to the border easily and the staff were so helpful that I am sure they could help. It was quiet and we slept well. It seems to be a small family run place and I am not sure how good their English might be but we would stay again.

The hotel is located about midway between the border and Aranyaprathet and is laid back from a fairly busy dual carriageway between the town and the border. The staff speak next to no English which is to be expected bearing Ming the location. However I did have a Thai translater on my phone, so I was able to put my point across. In the early evening I tried to get a hotel card to inform a taxi where to return me. I was eventually given a card and asked if I wanted a taxi. The next morning the same staff were on duty when I asked for a taxi to the bus station. I was directed to the dual carriageway and told to flag my own taxi down. I had to wait nearly 30 minutes before a taxi came along. Not a place I would ever consider staying again.

Sa kaeo has limited quality accommodation, im normally looking for a 4 star hotel. However the River resort is quite pleasant and did the job for a couple of nights. I enjoyed the breakfast, staff were helpful, and out back is nice and tranquil. I would happily return and probably will.

Ernst and Areeya great hosts. Vety hospitable and helpful. Full of information about sa kao province. Bungalow set in lush colorful tropical plants. Abundance of bananas, mangoes and coconut trees. Beautiful smell of frangipani flowers. Views of a beautiful lake with water lilies from balcony of my bungalow .lovely red bougainvilliia flowers in bloom. The bungalow very clean and comfortable. I slept very well in the very nice large bed. Nice mattress. And very quiet after bangkok!! Only wish I had more time to spend at areeya bungalows. A real gem tucked away in rural thailand.

finding this place can be tricky if you do not read thai, because the signs are all in thai. but just look for the caltex gas station on the main highway. the entrance to the resort is in back of caltex. the bungalows were very basic, but clean and new, with good tv's and good internet. no english channels on the tv, but for us this is no problem. the wifi was free and worked well in the afternoon and morning. in the evening, the signal was weak, probably because many people shared the same internet connection and router. the air conditioner worked well. the back porch was pleasant to sit at night or in the morning when the sun went down. the porch overlooked a man-made pond that had not yet filled up, because it was recently dug out. no one speaks english here. the location is great, being located on the main road, but with a long entrance that keeps you away from traffic and noise. it was very quiet. it is located about a kilometer away from burapha university and across the road from a public park. out front by the main road, next to caltex, are some basic thai restaurants. very convenient. aranyaprathet and the border market are an easy drive down the road. we will definitely come back.

My stay at the Thanasiri hotel was very pleasant. I have stayed here several times before and will stay again on my next visit to Sa Kaeo. This is the best hotel in Sa kaeo.

easy to get tuk tuk from aran border to this hotel, we spent 80-100baht for one tuk2, (4person) about 5-8 minutes arrived. a bit hard to talk to few of hotel's staff bcause they not really understand english but they were friendly. they served really delicious foods!!! western, asian food or even you can get local food at their restaurant. very clean place, pretty interior, and good aircondition for hot day!. we catched stars and moon at their restaurnt's rooftop. we booked tuk tuk for the next day to train station, to go to bangkok (90-100baht) 5 minutes.

The resort is very easy to locate, at main junction of Thetsaban 31. Room is adequate with standard facilities. Bed is firm and clean. Breakfast simple but delicious. Good recommendation for stay at Sa Kaeo.

Checking in and checking out took very.. very long time. They required 1,000 THB key deposit upon check in. I was lucky that I had some cash on me. It would have been embarrassing since I was not prepared to pay anything at the hotel when booked with Agoda. My room was spacious and in good condition. Except for the reading light above the bed. Good working aircon (above the bed.. bad idea). There is a microwave, electric kettle, packets of instant coffee and 2 large bottled water as well as a sleeper sofa and a dining set (also good for work). No in house telephone. Good matress with clean linen. Not the expensive kind but I did get very good sleep. They probably use underground well water as it was a little sticy after taking a shower. WiFi was at acceptable speed. Even though I couldn't access my company email. I assume it had to do with the ISP. Recommend for people that seek sactuary away from people. Do not expect much in term of facility or service. Will definitely stay again.

I caught the train from Bangkok to Arunyaprathet for 5 hours. then took a motorcycle to the guesthouse. I called the owner for the direction. after the call, she added Line and contact me if I checked in already. We had to wake up at 5 AM. She also dropped me a Line's chat that complimentary instant coffee is set for all guest in front of the office. I recommend this guesthouse for your visit the border at Arunyaprathet.

We were scheduled to stay in a tent hut, however the forecast included rain so it was suggested we stay in the guest lodge which is a small traditional upstairs bedroom. It was not air conditioned so at first it was very hot. However these traditional upstairs bedrooms are naturally cool and most of the evening was yen sabaii.
