I didn't have a lot expectation about the intercontenental Hotel in Santo Domingo due to my previuso experience in other Interconental hotels around the world. I have ato admit that the service and room standard was Ok. No super class but ok. The access to the city was quite easy by taxi ( 7 USD = 200 pesos).There are good restaurangs in the area to a very good price for the quality. The gym & sauna was ok. and they have a swiming pool which not big but ok to take a bath.

I was a bit disappointed with my room but did not complain because the Manager was courteous about allowing me to have early entry. The towels were worn and did not glisten white as in most hotels of this rating. I had a wheel chair room but the shower is terrible and water flooded and shower head not stable. I was using a walking cane. The price is high compared to what is offered and the free breakfast was a bit overrated. The fitness room and pool were excellent. There are no restaurants or shopping places nearby and taxis are high priced.

It was y first time traveling solo, and the moment I arrived, I was happily greeted by my roommates. I stayed in a 12-bed mixed dormitory. There was a fan above every bed to make sleeping more comfortable and to keep mosquitoes away (still got bitten). The inner garden is just beautiful and a nice place to hang out during the hot days and dark nights. There is a small pool, too. Breakfast was alright, and for just 100 pesos you can add eggs or a tasty omelette. The bathrooms were a bit wet after showering, so I would add a floor squeegee to make cleaning easier. Nevertheless, thanks for the kind staff and other travelers for making my experience pleasant!

I stayed there for one night. Hotel staff almost does not speak English, but very friendly. My room was pretty large and clean. The location is a little bit far from center. They do not have hot water.

convenient and very comfortable,most elegant hotel in santo domingo. the lobby and surrounding vegetation (palm trees, orchids,and exotic plants). the swimming pool was large,clean, warm and inviting. the buffet was extensive and delicious. the snacks in the afternoon and evening were just right for between meeals. the rooms are spacious, comfortable and elegantly appointed. the help was friendly and eager to please us all the time. we have spent several vacations in the dominican republic and this was the best by far. i would definitely book this hotel again without hesitation.

My stay was quite nice. The hotel staff was friendly and very attentive. I liked the fact it is close to to parks, clubs, shops, eating places, etc. The only complaint I have was my bed was a little hard. But other than that I enjoyed my stay and will be staying here again when I return to the Dominican Republic.

I had only booked 1 night but i ended up staying 3 all together. The rooms are not very pretty and beds are a little too soft for my taste but the location on the hotel was great - walking distance to the sea, walking distance to the walking street and old/historic city. Bring a bottle of water with you in the room as they dont provide drinking water (there is a shop just opposite the hotel)

The staff is very nice. Before I arrived at Santo Domingo, the hotel receptionist initiated to send me an email and asked if I would like to have a taxi and pick up at the airport, very nice service. The room is nice too. The only thing I'll suggest is the shower head, the water comes out slowly from the shower head.

It's a really pretty hotel and the staff is great. Needs a bit of paint in a few places where it's flaking and blackout curtains if you want to sleep in late. The current curtains leave some light in the middle. Breakfast buffet is OK but could be better. No hot milk. No Expresso machine. Fruit juices are way too sweet. And that's about it as far as flaws go. Everything else was perfect. Still giving it 5 stars because the staff was very quick fixing my broken jacuzzi on time and that's there most important thing.

Budget over priced hotel. Fairly clean, decent staff, average breakfast. not too far from places.

"You get for what you pay" This is a very humble hotel with some humble facilities. Clean and with night guard.

Unforgettable stay. El Beaterio is a 500 year-old convent remodelled internally with style and character. From my first encounter with the staff I was warmly welcomed and shown the facilities - even having a choice of room. The rooms are on two floors and all overlook a small courtyard with lush vegetation and outdoor seating. Rooms are large enough with king size four-poster beds, air conditioning, multi-channel TV, bathroom and wardrobe with safe. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Upstairs rooms are lighter and accessed by a spiral staircase from the courtyard. Breakfast is a more than adequate buffet. Dining and seating areas are an oasis of calm in a noisy city. The hotel is very central. near to the main pedestrian shopping street and to Plaza Duarte, a sure frequented by locals and tourists in the evenings. I would recommend this hotel very highly. It is not four those who prefer international business-style hotels, but for an unforgettable stay in a place oozing with history and character is is unsurpassable. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Booked a "Luxury Studio with Sea View" for two adults. It was functional at best. Not a hint of luxury, no seaview anywhere and it was clearly meant for single occupancy.

Staff are so nice. They are willing to help you anytime. It was good memory for me and my friend

Everything is perfect. Good big size comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast,good location, wifi. Good value for money.

I have stayed at the Roma 5 or 6 times in various rooms. This was my first time staying in one of the smaller rooms. On this trip the hot water was consistently available, the wi-fi stayed on and the room although small was comfortable.

centrally located in the Ciudad Colonial of Santo Domingo, this little hotel is very affordable. the basic rooms are really small, so maybe consider paying a little more for more space. the staff is really nice!

When I arrived tired and hungry after an 8 hour bus ride from Pedernales, host Ramon Tejada greeted me at the front door and asked me what I needed. He ran out and bought me a big Presidente (beer) and a delicious mozzerela sandwich and we sat down together and talked about the hotel, its past and future. The bedroom was lovely, overlooking the garden, the bathroom was large and luxurious, and the tile floors throughout the old home were spectacular. Lots of solid woodwork in the room, with very attractive furnishings. I loved every minute there!

Casa Sanchez is a great hotel in a prime location with an excellent staff. Just a short walk from this unique hotel is Calle Conde the main street in the Colonial Zone. Here you will find everything for the tourist's needs. Numerous types of restaurants, shopping, supermarket & tourist gifts. The customer service at the hotel exceeded my expectations & every staff member did their very best to make my stay a memorable visit to Santo Domingo. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends & family.

The title says it all. The rooms are sparsely appointed. My room had two beds but no closet or wardrobe to hang my clothes. There was no hot water when I was there. The price was right and the place was convenient. It was not too terribly comfortable though. I liked the staff though. Nice people. Note, nobody speaks English but it worked out okay. Note that there is no sign on the door. Just go to the address given, reach between the bars of the iron gates and press the buzzer mounted on the door.

This was a nice place and good value for money. It really had a nice welcoming and safe atmosphere. Francesca is fantastic and very very helpful, as is her husband. The room is basic (but you get what you pay for). I would stay here again for sure. One thing to note is the wifi sucks. Everything else was great.

This was one of the cleanest hotel in the city of SDQ. Great location and a major value of your money. The clerk was very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff was great and courtesy. This is a must next visit to DR. Why pay all that money for a hotel room for a 4 hour a day sleep. One will be out in the city and the beach all day. Smart traveling. Thanks.
