Traveling to Philippines? Find Siquijor Island hotels

We’ve been in Siquijor Island for 3nights and we all think this is the best resort in this area. Everything is perfect here. Try to experience scuba diving, it’ll blow your mind ; )

White Villas may be the best located accommodation on Siquijor Island, - it is situated on the long, scenic San Juan beach: - we had convenient 20-minute tricycle journey from Siquijor Port and 30-minutes to Lareno Port - two excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance - atmospheric Monkey Business and Dagsa Service was friendly Breakfast is a limited selection of food, but great place to sit and enjoy view of ocean Enjoyed hammocks along beach Bungalow is room is modest. Clean enough, decent mattress, quiet enough at night. No refrigerator, kettle Was almost impossible to swim in ocean during August visit due to sea grass, but did enjoy swim in the pleasant, small resort pool. Enjoyed renting motorcycle from hotel -- Siquijor roads are quiet and smooth Happy I chose White Villas - not incredible value, but seemed worth paying a bit more than many neighboring backpacker accommodations.

It was GREAT !!! New Villas with a view overlooking the sea is breathtaking. The owners are so nice & the staff is fantastic too. All are very professional, and rents motor bikes to go all over the island. Food is very good. The Villas are so nice, with very comfortable king size beds, the shower room & comfort rooms are very nice. Makes me want a shower like that at home. They designed this resort with total comfort in mind. Everything is top quality. And for those wanting to be on the beach rather than the mountain...they are constructing that now. If you want to get away on Siquijor Island...this is the place to stay for sure. One more thing, to Christy & Gary, we conceived our first child there. And thank you for being the best. Hope to be back soooon !!!

The dorm is large and clean, no bunk beds but everyone has a single bed. Separate shower and separate toilet in the dorm. No lockers but reception can keep your passport/wallet if you want. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Food in the restaurant is very good. For the beach, now I was looking for wide sand beaches to swim in, and there are none on the entire island. Toris paradies has its own private beach which is sandy for some 20 meters into the sea before the seaweeds or corals start, and you can swim a bit in high tide. Low tide you can still take a bath, I dont call that swimming because it gets quite shallow. All other beaches on Siquijor are either muddy or rocky or corally or small and crowded with locals and charge an entrance fee. At least that's what I found. I didnt bother moving to another location from Toris Paradise because it's conveniently close to the main port, has its own good quality restaurant, and is a good base to explore the island from.

We stayed in ocean view cottage for 3 days which is definitely too little :) Enjoyed every last minute being there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We are not divers and did not know it is a divers oriented resort. Regardless of that we enjoyed its facilities (nice pool, poolbar, great views) a lot. As the local diving instructor was very helpful, we decided try first time in life take a diving course and it was worth it! The bar has a very good selection of wines and beers, which is not too typical for Siquijor/Philippines. You can rent motorbike on site and explore the nearby fall, balete tree and towns. The owners have european roots, so know exactly how to make you feel like home if you are coming from Europe. Place is not suitable for families with small children or persons who like stay only on beach.

Treasure Island Beach Bungalows is a small place with around four to five two-floor apartments for guests. It is quaint, clean, quiet, and simple. It is great for lounging around, soaking in the sun, drinking tropical fruit shakes, and eating their delectable pizza and other dishes. There is a small quiet bar at the cottage entrance, by the roadside. They serve great food (though it may take some 10 minutes or more to prepare depending on the number of customers being served) and offer internet access via wi-fi. The staff, though slightly undermanned, are nice and are eager to serve. They exerted great effort to get us a tricycle despite the odd time when we requested it. Be warned though that, as far as I know, the staff are only available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Treasure Island Beach Bungalows serves as an very affordable home base for your stay in Siquijor. However, for more substantial entertainment, you must visit the tourist locations of Siquijor Island or perhaps take day trips to other resorts and/or islands. The cons: since staying here is really inexpensive (at more or less $40 USD a night if I recall correctly), do not expect air-conditioning. However, since the bungalows are about 10 meters from the beach front, the sea breeze should be enough to keep you cool at night. Also, do not expect back-up power generators, the Visayas and Mindanao Islands are notorious for being poorly supplied by the local electric power industry. Hence expect power outages at random parts of the day or night. Lastly, the beach front (at least when we came), was riddled with dead seaweed and several small pieces of trash. Unless cleaned up, I don't think that it will be fun to swim there. If you need a cheap place to stay, do consider Treasure Island Beach Bungalows. Its rock-bottom prices make-up for any shortcomings it may have. It serves as a great home base to come back to after visiting Siquijor Island's other destinations.

My boyfriend and I were suppose to stay at the resort for three nights, but ended up being so happy about our stay that we extended our stay for three more nights. That was mainly because of friendly, helpfull and serviceminded staff. Our room and the restaurant area were very clean, and the food was good as well, although it took the cook a little time to prepare it, but we didn’t mind. Unfortunately, the pool wasn’t as clean as it could be, but I think it’s difficult to keep it clean when the other guests don’t shower before entering the pool - so please keep that in mind and do shower before. We loved our stay here and can absolutely recommend others to stay at the resort for a few nights while visiting Siquijor Island.

The place is totally worth the money spent. Have couple of hammocks , which I love spending time in. The room was spacious and clean. It was close to the beach, but was low tide. Food was reasonably priced and delicious (Lomi Soup). I would recommend this place to visit for couple of days while staying in Siquijor Island. Thank you, Adria n

My boyfriend and I stayed at Kalachuchi for 4 nights, with the intention of getting some serious rest and relaxation. Mission accomplished! The hotel is beautifully located on the northern tip of Siquijor, with a stunning view (accompanied by a lot of wind) of the open sea. It's pretty isolated, with barely any neighbors, shaky wifi and cell signal and every so often a power outage. That being said, it's a great place to hole up with a good book, delicious homemade food and beautiful surroundings. During the day you can take a swim in the pool (there is no real beach and the ocean water is not ideal for swimming) or rent one of their scooters and take a tour of the island. The owners, Rolf and Marcel, as well as their lovely wives, were incredibly kind and friendly and really made our stay enjoyable. We had a great time and can't wait to return!

According to the staff and our tour guide the months of June-November are the non-recommended months to visit San Juan. The reason for that is, the beach isn't pristine. There were a lot of seaweeds and the waves are too strong. So, they said that during these months, you have to book your hotel in Siquijor, Siquijor. Now, from December-May, you can surely book the resorts in San Juan. As for the resort itself, the room is okay and the pool is okay too. They serve American breakfast but if you want to request for them to cook you something else, they can do it too. We requested to have fried rice and dried fish on our second day. We gave them money to buy the ingredients and just gave them extra for their effort. The staff are really lovely and I would stay here again and make sure it's not between June and November.

We really enjoyed our stay here, maybe one of the best experiences during our whole trip in Philippines. The place really sits on the nicest area on the whole San Juan coastline - beach also very private, could see only few people walking/swimming there. This place had a pool and a nice poolside/garden area to relax when you wanted to relax outside. The overall structure, build quality was much better than your average place around there - it stood out that the place was built with care for small details. Everything else close by, to rent scooters, places to eat, listen to live music and bars - same street. Staff and the owner of the place were really nice, gave us some suggestions a overall had a good sense of humor. Rooms were well equipped with air condition and fans. Bathroom had warm water and fridge provided cold drinks. Only thing to complain about is the Wifi connection inside the room - outside it was fine.

Im not expecting anything about this hotel , but when we arrived i was really amazed . The place was well maintained, great beach , they have an infinity pool with the view of the sea , a good restaurant inside and its very near to siquijor port. I think one of d best accommodation in siquijor considering the location and affordability..

Siquijor is a quiet place and accommodation is resort style - there is little in the way of a hub of places to stay. Adayo Cove fits that fill and is a nice quiet getaway. There is access to the water, although it's not a beach - so you need water shoes. Emely is the caretaker and she is awesome. She contacted the owner to lend me snorkeling gear, she and her husband applied coconut oil to my jellyfish stings, and she accompanied me to the port on their rental motorbike, so that I didn't need to pay for transport. Adayo Cove is a work in process; they have plans to further develop it. In the meantime, it is a relaxing, quiet place to stay with good service.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort with our daughter. We swam at the beach and the resort swimming pool. For 3 days and 2 nights vacation was worth it. Their staff and the management were very courteous and the customer service was the best. The resort offered car pickup from Siquijor Island Ferry Dock both ways for small fees, and this made it easy to travel to the resort.One thing, why we would like to go back again at the resort was everything that we experienced at the resort and the everyone that made us welcomed.

Very fantastic, great hotel in Siquijor! Comfortable beds, nice working aircon, nice working hot showers, TV with many channels, good wifi even in room, great, pleasant staff, and very near to the beach! The beach is a very nice, white sand beach in Siquijor! Near the Rainbow Lodge restaurant for lunch and dinners! They serve very good burgers over there! Will recommend and will stay here again!

I was reluctant to stay in Siquijor island since we couldn't find a good place to book. I was surprised that the place we were staying was near the good restaurants and it wasn't far from the port and center as well. What was disappointing was, we booked via agoda but when we paid for our stay they didn't credit our agoda booking and made us pay they're standard room rate. Disappointing but we're already there so we couldn't find another place to stay since the hotels isn't near from each other.

We would have to say this is THE NICEST place we have stayed in the Philippines so far. As you walk out the door the view is BREATHTAKING!! They have two hammocks set up along with chairs to hold your cold or hot drinks. The rooms have a kitchenette, Ref, Stove, TV, wardrobe etc. So you have EVERYTHING you need if you want to save money on food or cook while you are there. Staff was nice. A litte overpriced but then again Siquijor is more expensive than other places for hotels and resorts than lets say Dumaguete. We will definitely stay there again as we go to Siquijor often!!

Went for a short vacation in Siquijor and booked at EM’s Seaside Inn last October 25. Such a comfortable place to stay in after an exhausted travel! Friendly and accommodating staff plus good and tasty foods! A pleasant amenity at low price!! Highly recommended 👍🏼

I came to Siquijor Island for a couple days as a getaway from Manila, and stayed at this lovely little backpacker resort. I wasn`t expecting much because of the low price, but I was pleasantly surprised at how pleasant and comfortable the cottage was, and at how well-kept up the gardens are. The resort is located on the beach, which is a great location for snorkeling. I rented a snorkel and mask from a dive shop up the street, and each morning I jumped in the water to snorkel and see the beautiful sealife. The beach at Toris is rocky, not a white sand beach, but when the tide is out you can walk about 5 minutes to reach the white sand beach near Coco grove resort (or you can swim there when the tide is in). This is your classic tropical white sand beach, and the water in front of it is a protected marine santuary so the snorkeling was very impressive. The owner Tom and his wife are very friendly and helpful, often checking to make sure my stay was going well, and they were always a helpful source of information about the island, places to go, etc. Just remember that Siquijor is quite remote and electricity and communications networks don`t always cooperate. Even though there is wifi, sometimes it may go down, and if you want to send text messages with your phone you may have to go stand on the beach to find a signal. And there could be a power outage. But if you`ve travelled in rural Philippines before then you won`t be surprised by this. Sometimes the quiet time is good. I enjoyed my stay here!

Stayed here 2 nights while in Siquijor. About a 15min tricycle ride from the pier, walkable to nearby restaurants. The lady at the front desk had no idea who we were when we first arrived and our names weren’t recorded anywhere but thankfully there was still a room open. Very nice room that was clean, fan only. Some cockroaches when the lights are off so just wear sandals if you get up in the middle of the night 😝 Wifi in common area only but was slow because everyone else trying to use it as well! Would highly recommend renting a scooter- Siquijor seems small but most of the tourist spots are spread out. Also FYI on Sundays most things shut down, even tricycles/jeepneys are hard to find- tourist spots were still open though. Recommend!

Everything was right about this fine resort. Staff delivers excellent service with a personal touch. They will do everything they can to help and accomadate you and are very friendly and happy to talk to you. My compliments to all of you! Salamat! The kitchen is very good as well. There is quite a divers menu of Filipino and International dishes. I highly recommend the (fluffy) pancakes with fresh fruit and their beef lasagne. Also the Malay chicken soup and Chicken Noodles are fabulous! Masarap! Seats, tables and utensils are all of very good quality. The bar has many drinks and I enjoyed their coctails during their daily happy hour(s). Rooms are big, spotless clean and have a bathroom with a very good hot shower.. Some things I wrote might seem obvious, but I have been to many resorts and hotels in Philippines, and this one definitely stand out! Thanks all for our great stay!

We came by ferry from Cebu City to Tagbilaran, to Larena Siquijor... It was a four hour journey as opposed to a seven or eight hour trip through Dumaguete to Siguijor… When arriving at Oceanlife, we were greeted by staff members who took our bags, and we were given a welcome drink... We were there a little early... 2pm is the normal check in time for hotels and resorts in the Philippines... I noticed that the grounds were well maintained with beautiful flora, and fauna.. The rooms were spacious, and very clean... The A/C worked very well... There is an indoor/outdoor comfort room with hot water shower.... Outdoors is a small gym, and a pool... One of the maintenance workers vacuums, and cleans the pool daily... The Restobar has good food, with both Philippino, and international dishes... The staff are all helpful, and friendly.. They will accommodate you for anything, spotlight advice, scooter rental... It is also a dive center... The owner Manuel is a Master diver..

Our stay in Siquijor is very memorable. We were able to relax and meet wonderful people at Buco Beach. The owner and the staff are very accommodating and kind. If you want to stay in a quiet and affordable place in Siquijor, then this suits your budget. Plus if you love dogs, then this place is for you too 🥰

The place is located just outside of San Juan, easy 3 minute scooter ride! The room was good value for money, comfy bed, good air conditioning, wifi worked perfect and the free breakfast in the morning was awesome. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The offer scooters for rent if you need too. Would definitely book again!

I liked this place alot. Very simple but comfortable. lots of fans in the room. nice semi outdoor bathrooms which is always nice. small hostel with a small common area outside and a small cafe/restaurant. I'd have stayed longer but it was booked. Siquijor is very cool. Great restaurant right down the road. Best food I've had in Philippines. Take a left out of Cliff Garden on the main road and it's right across the street from the big resort on the right.

Our couple trip was just spontaneous and we didn't booked accommodation ahead of time, it just depends on what Agoda is suggesting. We were so glad to have bump into James Homestay as it is really a home away from home, near the port of Siquijor and staff are friendly and accommodating. They also offer Motorcycle for Rent for 300.00, since the whole province of Siquijor can be toured using the Motorcycle. Would really recommend the place to my friends.

Please note that when travelling to Siquijor, you should take an earlier ferry. We made the mistake of catching the last Ocean Jet trip, so the jeep that goes to Lazi no longer operates. We chartered a tricycle for 600 pesos. Not sure if that is cheap or expensive tbh, but we feel it’s alright because Lazi is quite far from the port. Siquijor is best explored in motorbikes. Don’t miss cliff diving at the salagdoong beach and cambugahay falls.

Staff are all extremely friendly and kind - a lovely family. All food was excellent and cheap. Location is beautiful with a private beach, it is very secluded which we loved. Perfect paradise escape.
