Traveling to Philippines? Find Subic (Zambales) hotels

Superb hotel. Its all about location, ok its not in Subic but you dont need to be near the city as its all in this hotel. Great views and a gorgeous beach. Sea was 10m away from the room, but the beach was only a 1m away. Dinner menu with traditional & western food all reasonably priced, dining is inside or outside on a large patio on the beach, invariably there is live music with fire show during dinner. Breakfast is has an adequate choice but will cook to order if required. Scuba, Kayak and Snorkel kit can be rented. Adjacent is Adventure Sea World which is well worth a morning or afternoon with a 20% hotel discount. Hotel offers free transport to Tree Adventure and Zoobic, also run shuttles to Subic and Olongapo at night. A troop of monkeys live near and are always visible, watch your kit. Turtles also hatch from the beach where there are several protected nests. Beach is cleaned daily with dedicated swim area. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

I have stayed in other hotels in Subic before and the Wild Orchid is easily the best. The pool is fantastic and large. The hotel itself has a very relaxed feel to it with staff friendly but not overly so. The hotel is a little further out from the entertainment area but this is not an inconvience as it is still within walking distance, about 5 minutes and tuk tuks are available at the hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the restraunt and bar are great and well priced. I was quite surprised by the cheap prices of the food at the hotel. Will definately make this my hotel of choice in Subic frim now on.

I love moonbay marina. One of my fave hotel in subic. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was very clean. Location was great. Staffs are very kind & courteous. My kids love the pool area. We’ll definitely comeback.

Spent Valentines day with my husband there. We booked a casita (water villa). We never expect that there would be a water villa type of accommodation in Subic. It is just simply great. We enjoyed our stay so much, actually one can enjoy the whole stay by just merely staying in the room haha! Especially if you booked a casita, you can stay at the veranda all day! No joke for this, really a great way to relax! The downside it that the beach area is not wide enough, but it is clean, a lot of people still went swimming. The infinity pool also is not big enough. Others were just great. I will recommend this resort to everyone! And I think this resort do deserve to be a five star resort.

As of July 2019, they improved already. Most of the negative issues written before were corrected. Their restaurant is good at average price but taste great. Rooms are big and clean. Staffs are well attentive. Beach front and has infinity pool. Gym and water activities for rent. Book thru agoda as rates are cheaper than book directly at Acea. For senior citizen , mobility problem or pwd, you should book the ground floor area as they dont have elevator access to higher rooms which is 2nd floor. But it is wheelchair friendly only at ground floor and to the beach and restaurant. Overall, best stay in Acea subic.

went there with the colleagues,it was long drive but with the peace and tranquility of the sea it made it worth the wait....staff was good and very well mannered...i personally expected a hotel or a resort to be abit too much like an apartelle...what do you expect on a beach hotel?????...beach...drinks....music and abit of party and chit chat,right?...it always starts slow,food and few drinks with music(small speaker connected to an iphone)and as it goes on it obviously can make a small party...but in mangrove hotel,when it's already late,the staff and the owner of the hotel told us to avoid drinking and stop playing the music we had on?if this is the norm in beach hotels....it really doesn't justify it being a beach hotel,does it....seems like an apartelle to me....anyways,we still had fun..but like a kid with mother on the side overlooking your every move on the drinks and the speakers...lol....by the way,we were the only locals to check in there...i can also assume the it's not local friendly hotel but foreign friendly hotel....so for locals,go for other hotel in subic zambales....thanks....

Horizon hotel is a very clean hotel. The rooms are big and the bathroom is big compared to other hotels in Subic. There is ref in the room. Aircon and water heater works well. There is breakfast, which not all hotels in Subic offer. Staff is kind and courteous. Will be back here again.

highly recommend to stay in this hotel if you are at Subic. though it is not beachfront, the pool area is good enough to freshen up. after all it is not advisable to swim at the beach along Subic waterfront. the hotel is at the center, making places to eat and shop reachable by legs if you are up for a walk. got the 2 queen-bed room and it is huge, same with the bathroom. only downside is the breakfast as they serve buffet only on Sundays and plated on other days.

Got a great discount through Agoda, so we we're expecting less than stellar amenities. Surprisingly, we had a great stay. The room was pretty big, king sized bed was comfy and the room had all the little things to make things convenient. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Not the best hotel on the waterfront but it doesn't claim to be so it was all good. The best thing about the place is the location. Close enough to everything but far enough away from the loud music of the nearby concert hall/ drinking places nearby. Best to get rooms facing the pool/Subic bay but on the West side of the hotel.

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. From check in to check out everything was perfect. My compliments to all the staff at Court Meridian for making our stay very pleasant. We had a room on the 4th floor with a view of the beach/bay and it was beautiful. Nothing beats sitting on the veranda with your family and watching the sunset over the hills surrounding the bay. The beauty takes your breath away. OH, and the breakfast at Aresi Restaurant was outstanding. The choices are limited but, you will surely enjoy what is served. Also, we had dinner at Aresi a couple of nights and once again the food was delicious. Court Meridian is located near all good restaurants and 1km from Harbor Point mall. Can't beat the location for accessibility to food and shopping. We will be returning to Subic soon and have already made reservations at Court Meridian. To me, it is the best hotel in Subic because, you get a well managed hotel that has everything and more than you will get anywhere else

Well I live on a surfing beach in the Philippines and my Housekeeper was going home to Cebu to spend her Holy Week with family so I decided to take a short two week vacation to Subic Zambales in the Philippines. Unfortunately I left My booking with Agoda a little late as I could only get 5 nights everything was fully booked except White Rock Waterpark and Beach resort...But it was the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed at in the Philippines...I usually find that you get what you pay for in the Philippines...White rock was the exception... After spending a wonderful 5 days at other hotels I expected a palace at White rock for the money I was paying...As soon as I entered the non airconditioned front desk to present my Agoda documents and credit card and photo id I had a bad feeling. The property at white rock is big and they use golf carts to ferry people around...So when I reached my room B25...The B is for Beach...I was shocked to find an old room that was so small you could not swing a cat in it...I was paying double what I paid at other hotel and the room was a tenth of the size of the palatial room I had... Before I left for my short two week vacation at La Union I was chatting with two of the guys...I told them I had booked by Agoda at White Rock...They told me that I had better cancel my booking at White Rock as i would not like it...I would have taken their advice but everything else was fully booked... I think I was the only foreignor at White Rock as there seemed to be millions of Filipinos and children mainly at the waterparks...Anybody can visit for a day and they charge P600 for the day for adults and of course less for children...I think the whole of the Philippines was here... I like to swim in the ocean but as there were lots of jetskis everywhere I did not as I did not want to die in this place.

Our family had a wonderful time at Blue Rock Resort. Of all the beach resorts that I've been to in Subic, I think this is the one that I'll be back to. For the very reasonable price that I paid, I already got a Beachfront and spacious room with the basic necessities. Considering the price that I got in Agoda, it is really worth the 3.5hr travel. :) The beach is good, it is not crowded, and the sand is better than the other Subic resorts that I've been to. (Always manage your expectations that the sand in Subic is not as fine and white as those in Nasugbu or Boracay, but I'm totally cool with it because the water is clear :) I guess we had the right timing because it was not a weekend, and it was a day before the holidays so the beach was not crowded and dirty as what I've read in some comments. My daughter also enjoyed the pool so much. Parking space was ample too :) The food was so okay. The price is fairly reasonable again considering it's a beachfront resort, but if you're on a budget, you may want to go out of the street to find some cheap restos. For us, we tried eating out once but for the rest of the time, we ate at their restaurant because we just want to relax and enjoy our vacation. Oh and by the way, on our way home, we tried Korean and Filipino buffet at Gangnam Buffet at Harbour Point, about 20mins I guess from the resort, and it was okay for the price of Php330/head. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay at Blue Rock. My family and I will stay here again if we plan to go to Subic.

We went on a Marian pilgrimage in Botolan Zambales and opted to stay overnight in Subic Bay. It was our first time in a hotel with complimentary dinner at the beach instead of the usual free breakfast. Upon checking in, we were informed that due to a wedding reception, the dinner by the beach will not be available but instead, a buffet breakfast will be served the following morning. Our check in was quick and there was ample parking space across a vacant lot of the hotel. The room is moderately furnished, the bedsheets are old, however, the towels are white and fresh. Overall, we had a pleasant overnight stay after our long and tiring day.

A very good budget hotel in Subic Bay, near Mangoe's resort/dive shop and the main street of bars in Subic. Jepneys and trikes (and larger buses) all run along the main road when you need to get somewhere else. Rooms are clean, desk is monitored 24hrs and there is a security guard at night. I felt very secure and appreciated the attention to cleanliness and service by the staff. I would absolutely stay here again.

In short I had a grate time, ideal location no need to rent a car or even ride a trike. The staff friendly and nice down to earth, the food granted its not a lot but it is well worth it never miss my American Breakfast. The Happy hour the best in the world or the best in the Philippines only PHP 39.00 where else could you get that. The pool clean, the private Beach is Raked every hour or so this place in like a little botanical garden grate place to take a female or the family. When ever I am in the Subic are area I will most definitely will stay at this hotel. Grate job to the Staff its a very clean hotel.

My stay at the Sun Plaza was my best experience with a hotel in Subic, or even in or out of the United States. There is something management has done in setting up this hotel such that the staff is very personally committed to the success of the business and ensuring guests have a fantastic experience. They are genuine and honestly helpful in a way you just don't see in America, where staff members are often undercompensated and corporate customer service training produces a veneer of amicability but little real heart. The drivers were particularly helpful in making sure I was able to settle last-minute details for Valentine's Day. The breakfast options are diverse and tasty. Our side of the hotel overlooked a pleasant resort and we were enchanted by the sound of children and families playing, as well as the music. But the sounds were easily shut off when desired by closing the balcony door. The spa is well worth a visit - my masseuse there removed stiffness with a level of skill I rarely see. The bathroom was also very well appointed, sometimes difficult to find here, and in another rarity for this area, the wi-fi strength was very solid, allowing us to easily share pictures and memories with friends and family. Overall, this hotel and its staff really did everything possible to make this year's Valentine's Day the most special of our lives. We could not be happier, and we will definitely visit again.

It was my 4th time in Subic and the last travel was with a group. Tried many hotels in Subic and this is the best so far. Location is near to everything like spa and restaurants. You have to travel a little going to Subic attractions. Very clean, room is spacious with complete toiletries. Facilities are good as well. They has swimming people though it's cold to swim because of cold water. Breakfast choices are just enough but it changes everyday which is good. Their staff are the best! Even the janitors will give you smile and say hi, same with waiters and waitresses. Their receptionist are very considerate. Highly recommended and value for the money. Will definitely go back! the hotel was very clean with all the amenities that you wouldnt normally see in hotels in Subic such as kitchen, washing machine etc.. it is very good for families who wants to go on an extended stay due to affordability. The only con is the loft may not be too safe for very young kids so adults have to be on close watch

The Reef is a very new hotel in Subic. Strategic location, very spacious and clean rooms. The place was very well-lit. Strong wifi signal. Restaurant downstairs. Ample parking space. Highly recommended!

I have just stayed at the Seorabeol for the second time and am planning to do so again soon. If you want to stay in the SBFZ of Subic Bay, this is a good hotel. The pool is one of the best designed I have seen in a long time. Starts at 2 foot for kids and slowly slopes down into 6 foot for adults and is a huge pool. Old but still good. The rooms are big and comfy. Huge wardrobe for clothes, shower/bath and a balcony for us smokers. I have eaten at the restaurant here and the food was quite good. However, u have top quality restaurants in Texas Joes and Xtremely Xpress just a walk away. Also the Pier one entertainment bar with live bands is a short walk away. The staff at Seorabeol is always friendly and helpful and the hotel has a "homely" feel about it. To get a good quality hotel room these days for under $100 is great value and to any detractors, I simply say, "Are you expecting too much of a budget hotel in the Philippines".

I have been traveling to Subic from Manila for almost 10 years for both business and pleasure with my family. Treasure Island has been my go to hotel for the last 5 years. I have stayed at almost all of the Hotels in the area and none can even come close to value for the money and location. Yes there are other newer hotels but none of them have the location Treasure Island does. They have the largest pool on Baloy Beach. You can swim in the sea or the pool. The sea is right in front of the pool. They have live bands and beach dining on the weekends. Always clean and pristine The owner obviously spends a lot money on keeping the place and the pool in the best possible condition. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Sometimes the place does get a bit busy on the weekends, but what else would you expect with a great pool and location that they have. I truly love sitting under the beautiful coconut trees, having a drink and watching the sun go down in the ocean in the evening while the kids are enjoying a swim in the pool. They have a great international menu at inexpensive prices. Rooms are big with plenty of affordable snacks. All the bathrooms in the hotel were remodeled a couple years ago. Seem the owner always working on a new project to improve the place. Always look forward to seem what has changed since the last stay. I highly recommend this as the best hotel in Olongapo or Subic Bay. Bring your whole family. Resort is very child and family friendly.

It was the best vacation ever for us considering that we got the best hotel in Subic. Everything was so perfect. Also, customer service and courteousy of the staff made it even better. My 6-yr old son enjoyed a lot, especially the bathtub. The toilet itself was strategically designed - i let my son on the tub by himself while at the same time I could watch him while I am watching TV because of the glass wall of the toilet. We are definitelt going back in this hotel.

The room is clean, has relaxing lighting, large window to let natural light in in the morning, with ample amenities, has lots of space (can possibly accommodate a small family), and the best of all, the room we got has a bathtub. There's free first-come, first-serve garage parking and lots of parking outside the hotel. The staff are very accommodating, courteous, and helpful. The hotel's location is in the middle of the Subic Freeport Area, which is basically minutes away from the beaches of the north and the forest reserves to the south. It's also a couple of blocks away from two major malls like Harbor Point and SM. This is very accessible to guests with their own vehicles. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and will definitely stay in this hotel again if ever we visit Subic again.

Highly recommended hotel. I think it's the best in subic. The rooms are big and clean the bathroom is awesome we loved it especially there's a bathtub. The rooftop pool is amazing our kids loved it they don't want to leave 😁 The hotel has a lot to offer to guests there is a complimentary use of jacuzzi and sauna at their spa which was very relaxing, VR game which my hubby and eldest kid enjoyed, discounts at TEPPAN 101, Shabushabu resto and Naicha milktea all locatedal at the ground floor of the building. The hotel is also strategically located. Royal Duty free is just behind it, there are a lot of fastfood in the area and a starbucks just a few steps away. Also, the amenities and staff can be rated to that of 5-star hotel. All hotel personnel are so nice from the reception, guard to the room attendants they are all so pleasant they will make you feel at home. Everyone's always greeting and smiling and will ask you if they can be of help 😊 Though as for the bteakfast it can be improved. Kudos to the management for doing an excellent job! We had a truly wonderful and unforgettable stay! We will surely come back for a longer stay

We frequent Subic like 3-5x in a year and this is our first time to stay here because it was always fully booked. No wonder. This hotel is by far the best in Subic. Room is huge, large bed, clean sheets, new clean towels, AC working perfectly, staff at reception were prompt & helpful. Check-in/check-out was quick & easy. Best part though was the Bulalo soup we ordered in-room for dinner. It was a hefty, sumptuous dish for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was good too. Can still improve on the shower as shower head needs to be replaced, pool towels were not so nice, beds by the pool need cleaning, umbrellas were not working, staff at breakfast were not as warm. Hope to see this improve on our next visit.

Our stay was during the holy week break, and almost all the hotels in Subic Freeport were fully booked. Grand Hoyah was one of two or three which had available rooms. Grand Hoyah's rate was very reasonable for a 4-star hotel as advertised, despite the peak demand so we were a bit skeptical and worried as to what accommodation we will have. We were pleasantly surprised upon check-in to find the hotel very nice. The room was large and clean, with dedicated split-type aircon, although the wallpaper on the wall needed a bit of repair. For this size hotel, the only existing elevator is so small it couldn't fit more than 2 people but this is not a big deal. My daughter always wants to use the stairs anyway. I wouldn't rate it a 4-star hotel though. Maybe more of a very good 3-star one. The plated breakfast was delicious, with unlimited coffee and juices. Parking area in front and side of hotel was plentiful. All in all a great value for money hotel, and we will likely stay here

Check in was around 2pm but since we were already in Subic, they let us already check in and it was only 10am. The carpeted floor is a plus if you have toddlers running around since you won't worry much if they trip and fall. Fast service. Friendly staff. There are better hotels in the area but I keep coming back to Subic International Hotel because of its value for money, it is the closest hotel (walking distance only) to Harbor Point Mall. :) Thanks Subic International Hotel.

Overall a nice stay. The bungalows with rooms are ugly, but spacious. Highlight is the big pool, but that's all. Its NOT a beach resort. The hotel has NO access to the beach. The nearby neach was anyway dirty and not worth to go. There are frequent jeepneys even at late evening from the main highway near the hotel to Olangapo city and Subic freezone.

My 5th visit to Subic and my first time staying at Mangos. From this moment forward, Mangos will be my resort of choice. The restaurant has an extensive menu and the food was excellent. I suffer from insomnia and would sit on the deck and watch the ocean. The overnight staff was just as accomodating at 4 AM as the day staff at 4PM. My best memories will be sitting on their deck at 4AM, drinking a Latte, and eating Chicken Tinola or grilled Mango BBQ Pork Chops. A great place to learn how to dive or just relax. My only complaint is they do not have a huge luxury infinity swimming pool. But with the entire pacific ocean within 15 steps fromm the deck. You will get over it.

I am a regular visitor to Subic and Venezia was recommended to me. From the helpful security guard to the check in staff everything was perfect and as a bonus I was upgraded. Room service is from a 5 star Chinese restaurant next door so quality is excellent, there is a casino attached but I was never bothered by noise or patrons. I found I could walk to the new Ayala mall and also into Olongapo so no need to worry about parking. Subic has changed so much and many first class restaurants of all tastes. I found the hotel very helpful and happily recommend. The only downside was I could not regulate aircon as usually I dont use and happy with a fan. In fairness I didn't ask the hotel about this so guess self inflicted!!!
