Traveling to Thailand? Find Surat Thani hotels

This was our first time in Surat Thani, on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is situated a bit on the outskirts of the city, but still in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. Most of the restaurants open late afternoon and are very reasonble priced, offer delicious Thai food. The hotel itself has a nice lobby, the check-in goes smooth, staff are very friendly and accomodating and they also have enough knowledge about traveling to Samui and other islands. The rooms are spacious with an industrial design. Amenities are sufficient, with a watercooker, coffee, tea available. The breakfast is good, with enough choice to get one going for the day. In short, a comfortable pleasant and clean hotel. Only one point can be improved.... I really missed a newschannel in English, such as CNN or BBC world. For the rest, no complaints at all.

We overnighted there to and from our Kho Phangan stay. We enjoyed very minute of our stay. If you wish to dine near or visit the night Bazar, it will cost you only 20-30 THB per person. Trip to airport will cost 150 THB per person. All prices are tuk-tuk of course. The reception staff is very helpful, speak reasonable good English. The rooms are cheap and clean and quiet. You will have to purchase a wifi access code (100Thb for 24 hours). The restaurant will serve you dinner until midnight and offers a variety of good quality Thai dishes. You definitely want to consider this hotel when you next visit Suratthani !

After having a disappointing stay in a hotel in Koh Phangan rated 3 stars I was expecting worse. The hotel is simple but clean and it has good taste. The staff is very kind and helpful. It doesn't offer much but what they give you is top class. Good towels and a clean room. You won't get free coffee and tea, just the two bottles of water you get everywhere in Thailand. Anyways I assume most people are just passing by to get somewhere else so it's perfect for that. It's very close to the night market where you can buy cheap authentic Thai food. Also, they will book a taxi to the airport for you if you ask for 350 baht. It was just what I needed and definitely recommend it.

We were on a road trip from Malaysia all the way to Chiang Rai. Suratthani (S Tara) was a stop by for us to put up a night. We booked this room purely based on reviews on Agoda and the room was very cheap! We werent expecting much for the price we paid but we were SURPRISED when we arrived. We reached the hotel at midnight (1am) and the staff actually came out and greet us and helped us with the luggages all the way to the room. Something even 4/5 star hotels might not do at times. Room was decently comfortable, clean and spacious. Air conditioning was a little noisy but i wouldnt complain about that for what its worth. Breakfast was also included in the room price and the variety was decent. All in all, i'd definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers looking for a decent hotel (best value for money).

We stayed only one night on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is located 70km away from Racha ferry terminal but we were already very exhausted driving for 10 hrs from Bangkok by the time we got there and needed to rest. The hotel is tucked in a little alley but not that difficult as there is Tesco Lotus on the other side of the road. The hotel is super clean and the female staff at the reception seems genuinely happy to provide good service. The shower, bed etc, everything was GREAT considering what we paid. There is a little local Thai restaurant with picture menu in front of the hotel or you can walk 500 m to Tesco Lotus for dinner. The parking is reasonably spacious. Great stay.

Opened about 1 year ago very new clean place. Quality bedding, sheets etc. Spacious rooms plenty of parking. We had a room with 2 doubles to accomadate our family but the price only included 2 Adults so they charged us an extra ฿370 for our nanny which included breakfast. When we called down for an extra pillow they wanted an additional ฿50 for that. They said the breakfast was an American breakfast, nothing American about it and if I was reviewing based on that they would get 1 out of 5 stars. But as a thai breakfast very typical fresh and clean and it's 3-4 star worthy Over all nice place I would stop again on our way to Koh Samui about 1 hour to the ferry.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and are baggage was quickly attended to by porters once we exited ghe cab. The front desk expected us and had our reservation ready to go (the first time this has happened in 4 weeks if travelling). Check in was smooth though we had to pay extra for my breakfast since our occupancy was booked for only 1,not 2 on their system. The rooms are dated but clean and I always got a great sleep. There were no bugs in our room but a few large, slow mosquitoes in the lobby. I really enjoyed my Thai food in the restaurant and ate there many times. The service was great consistently for my husband and I. Breakfast is good too with a mix of thai and western foods, so you should be able to find something you will enjoy. The pool is sizable and refreshing. Massages were outstanding, we had 4 between my husband and I, all around 300 baht. They go very hard so you may be quite sore the next day, keep that in mind if you're flying. Our laundry service was efficient and undergarments were folded in packaged together in cellophane bags, while our larger items were all ironed, hung, and placed in our room wardrobes later that afternoon. Prices are per piece, not weight, and laundry staff did not speak English but were friendly and helpful nonetheless. Much of the staff speaks very little English but we had no problems getting our needs met. This hotel also has a large number of thai guests who are travelling as well. Take a tuk tuk for 15-20 baht per person to the night market if you'd like some street food. The area has other restaurants and western food in the area too. Overall, it's convenient having the pool, massage, and restaurant all under one roof. Great value for the money.

This camp is just gorgeous. Set amidst lush forest, with spectacular views across the mountains, a perfect getaway to relax in tranquil surrounds. We stayed here for 2 (actually 3- including an overnight trip away) nights and loved the atmosphere, the incredible, friendly and attentive staff, and the delicious, very reasonably priced food. There was one slight hiccup- we booked not realizing how far from The national park/ dam/lake we were. There are day tours and 2/3 day tours which include overnight stays at floating huts, and at the boutique camp, but these all seemed to be aimed at people who were NOT already staying at the camp... A bit confusing. Seems that most guests who stay at the camp are part of a 1 or 2 night tour. We worked out a tour for us, at a lower price, as we missed out on half of the itinerary. It was enjoyable, but would have been more so if it was the whole package. Would recommend staying here and having your own transportation or booking one of the tours in advance. *Lots of Russian tourists seem to do the tours*

Pros: this is a very new hotel with clean modern rooms and facilities Pool was very nice and clean Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection Very nicely stocked and priced vending machine for drinks and snacks Hotel offers ticket service and hotel pickup for both ferry lines going to Koh Samui koh, koh phangnan, Koh Tao Bicycles available for rent Staff was helpful and attentive 7-11 and a couple restaurants very close Over bridge from Surat Thani town so quiet at night Cons: Walking in to town is about 10 minutes over the bridge to most things but an easy walk Pool area could use a few more lounge chairs Restaurant offers room service but only open until 14:00 (2pm) Could use a lobby bar in hotel No scooter rental onsite (but this is mainly a transit hotel (1 night stay) anyway) Overall this is a solid choice for the money and everything up to standards Would stay again while in Surat Thani

Stay here for 1 night while in transit for morning flight. Can’t review so much as I reach the hotel in late evening from Samui. Well, this hotel is newly refurbished house link house turn to hotel. As for transit, I’m happy with the room condition. Can’t expect too much from the amount I paid. I didn’t stay that long also as I left the room in the early morning before the sunrise to catch up my flight back. Location very good. Nearby to Tesco Lotus express and Shopping Mall about 2 km away. Please use GRAB app to catch up a ride to this mall. The mall is Central Plaza Suratthani. Clean hotel room. Front desk staff and the manager quite helpful. Even the hotel owner also are very friendly. I am happy with my stay and will return for transit again.

I was trying to book train ticket online but was not able to do it. The staff of the hotel helped to buy the tickets for us. She was also showing us where to go and ear even she was away in Laos.

This hotel is located in center of Suratthani downtown with reasonable price (690/Night/2Persons). Has a lot of car parking lot Surround with fresh market restuarant and business centers Nice staff Room is large (40-50 sqm) ,new,clean but the bed is not soft and pillow is quite too high. My Score 8.5/10

I booked 4 rooms for 8ppl and it's pretty much private because it's the long pool that join all the room together just like in the picture except the real view are much more beautiful. We were so tired and wet from the waterfall we have visited before checked in and they greet us very nice and very quick for checking in. It's a new, small hotel with the enormous view! very quite area and close to the dam. Altho you need a private car to go around suratthani or else the hotel has activities and services you can book. Breakfast wasn't big but enough in the morning. Food there also really nice and price is good. the bartender make a really tasty cocktail so don't miss out! will definitely go back! ps. make sure you book a room with a mountain view and it will be all great!

The views from this hotel are amazing and the little huts are great, but avoid the standard rooms as they don't have the best facilities and get too hot at night. It was great to be able to have free use of the kayaks and inner tubes to make the most of the lake and definitely go and explore the surrounding jungle.

This hotel is clean and has the boutique look. The restaurant served good food in the evening, but the lack of real coffee in the morning was disappointing, since we find the imitation coffee powder served in many budget places in Thailand to be inedible. But for the budget price, we cannot really complain about something like that. We just walked outside to the Amazon Coffee shop just outside the restaurant to purchase are own fresh coffee.... problem solved. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Are only concern was with security. The hotel is located behind a busy gas station where many people would loiter. Most of the lights outside in the parking lot next to the hotel were not turned on (we stayed there for 3 nights, so this was not a fluke) and there were many people in the dark parking lot that were not guests of the hotel. The 2nd floor landing on building 3 at the elevator was not lit, and felt dangerous as well. All of the staff performed their duties well except the security guards, who never left their chair at the reception entrance because they were busy playing with their mobile phones. This lack of security lighting and security guards not doing their job was the only reason that I did not give and excellent rating for staff and facilities. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Suratthani.

I booked the Lagoon rooms for two nights, on our arrival the staff had made some mistakes in reservations, we ended up having a free upgrade to the Suite for first night, and Deluxe room for second night. The Suite was clean and beautiful, but the small balcony didn't offer a nice view - facing a vacant land (the unpleasant smell from the pond was strong too). There were no kettle, hair dryer etc., just a mini bar and a TV (all programmes were in Thai). Lucikly we brought our thumdrive with movies and watched ours with the tv instead, sitting on the nice big L-shaped sofa. The bathroom was a bit small. But overall we enjoyed the spacious and nice room. The Deluxe room faced a nice view of the pond. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large and nice! Again there were only a mini bar and a tv. We actually loved this room more. The hotel was very conveniently located. There was a 7-eleven just outside the hotel, and some food stalls opening from afternoon to night, so no problem to get food and drinks! There were also a few mini restaurants just next to it. Walking to the town across the bridge and river took only 10 minutes (to reach the City Pillar Shrine), and we walked around the shop areas exploring and hunting for food, and managed to find some great food. Walking to the night market and walking street by the river took us 20-25 mins (we are fast walkers who enjoy walking though). The hotel has transport services to night markets and also the big mall Central Plaza a few kms away at quite good rates. The hotel staff was very friendly and smiley. We talked to the guy named Bong (the owner, we believed) who could speak English and he gave us very helpful info about directions and spots. Overall we loved our stay here as much as enjoying a short but relaxing holiday in Suratthani. I would recommend this hotel to my friends who like to visit this town for a relaxation trip.

The staff was very friendly and the food here was among the best I had during my entire trip to Thailand. I will definitely return.

very good location hotel in suratthani city,we can go everywhere by local bus.room is very comfortable and well decoration,we are really enjoyed food around the hotel,just 2-3 minuites walking,the price of this hotel is very cheap and reasonable,staff is very good english and ready to serve all customer,there is a small cafe shop in our hotel.if we have a chance to go to suratthani,we will be back again.

Amazing location, and amazing view. We've had a lovely time there. Staffs were very friendly. A bit hot during the day and afternoon. They started to provide air-con from 7 pm. But you can soak yourself into the water if you don't mind of getting very tan, and a fan in-room provided. The down side of this place is the transfer. It's very expensive. They don't provide you a long-tail boat with this price, which you have to book extra 4,500 baht and its not always available. So you have to get from a local. The menu very limited, if you don't buy the buffet. Only many choices on the menu, but not in reality .

This was one of the most amazing places we visited in Thailand--absolutely stunning! And it was wonderful to walk 8 steps out our doors and into the lake. Panvaree staff don't speak much English, but they were very friendly and tried to be helpful. There were some odd "misses" like limited food and beverages, hard beds, and too few deck chairs, but it was more than worth it to stay in this place. Our room was large and clean and our daughter loved the loft. They generally take guests on a morning and evening boat ride and offer a longer afternoon excursion with cave tour, all of which we enjoyed. They also provide transportation once per day from the Ratchaprapha Dam pier. Breakfast buffet is included and lunch and dinner are extra and the food was okay, but not a highlight. We stayed two nights (one full day), which we felt was just about perfect.

I was really miffed that this hotel list itself as city center, and location location! It is a 6.5 km taxi ride to the city center and bus station. I booked "city center" to be able to catch a early morning bus. They are perpetrating seriously false advertising. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very cordial. It was surprising that a hotel catering to the international clients would have a waitress who speaks literally no English. She was sweet and eager to please but the language barrier was A big one. How about Basic English classes for Hotel employees who want it ? How much could that cost in terms of the benefit of being able to communicate with international clients? This is a 100+ room hotel!

We stayed at the resort for couple nights. The cabins are greatly designed very simple with all you need in it. The rooms are extremely clean. The surrounding by the river is simply stunning. It’s a pleasure to just be there. The whole place is very nicely designed with lights at night and well maintained garden. We had a problem with checking in, very limited possibility of communicating with staff, most of the things or simple questions were difficult to resolve. Also hotel informations on Agoda states the check out time at noon but then expects to check out at 10am which is quite ridiculous and has a fine of 500thb if you stay until noon.

we stopped at Bun hotel while we were driving from hadyai to bkk food and hotel price are reasonable recommend this hotel if you looking for short stay 1-2days hotel in suratthani

We stayed in One Hotel in Suratthani only one night but if we ever go to Suratthani, we will surely stay there again. The price was was very good compared to what we got. Breakfast was great, good choice of food, very nice and helpful staff. Rooms were clean. I recommend to use this hotel when you want to transfer to Ko Samui, Ko Tao or Ko Phangan. Perfect value for money.

We had the best 2.5 days there. Felt like home because of the friendly staff. We went on some great trips. And the rain just made a break from pouring down while we went on the lake and the half day canoe trip. Our old uncle feel on the boat and needed medic assistance. They took very good care of him. The only bad thing about the hotel was that the food was lack of taste.. Except for that it was all wonderful.

I had to stay one night in Suratthani to catch the morning flight. I glad that I choose this hotel, the room is big, neat, and clean, and the staff also helpful. My room was facing to the main street, even though I am a light sleeper but I still could sleep well. I am highly recommend this hotel!

It's the second time I've been to Suratthani. I've stayed here both times because it's a new hotel. It's very clean and it's tucked away off the main road. The rooms are spacious enough, the air cond is nice and cold, the bed is coomfy and the bathroom is very good. There is also a balcony with an out door sink that's very good if you want to make a fruit salad or something like that. There is a very good undercover market within walking distance, 4-5 minutes away and there is a Tesco and 7/11 next to the market. I didn't try any of the restaurants close by because I have a Thai girlfriend who drives me to the nice restaurants that are further away. The hotel manager is a good guy he's very helpful and he speaks good English. All in all its a very good reasonably priced place to stay in Suratthani.

We booked a room here 2 hours before showing up - we needed a room before a trip out on Cheow Lan Lake the next day. Our bungalow was not fancy, but it was comfy and clean - good strong AC, hot water in the shower, and a comfy bed. There were a couple of bugs and a gecko, but you're at the edge of the jungle, so this didn't surprise me. Breakfast in the morning was simple but tasty (toast, eggs, and sausage). The staff here really stands out - they are warm, friendly, and very helpful. Despite the last-minute arrangement, someone was there to greet us when we arrived and check us in. They gave us a room upgrade to a bungalow with an indoor bathroom (some have open-air showers) . They also gave us a recommendation for a nearby restaurant that was a ten-minute walk down a country road. And when we needed a taxi to get to the dam, they were able to arrange one for us on 30 minutes notice. Note: there are two dogs here - they'll bark at first, but they're sweet and won't bother you.

Great hotel, no negative comments, friendly staff! Needed to go to the post office and exchange money which the staff took us on their personal scooter! Beautiful large clean new rooms! Cafe and restaurants down the road and 7-11 next door! Great for an overnight stay!!!!
