"Everything was lovely. Breakfast gave us a really large option, which isn't always the case with smaller hotels in European cities. Really excellent. However, there were two major disappointments: 1. In asking for help to get to Chalkidiki without a car/which beaches to go to/how to get around/etc., the receptionist/conicerge was extremely unhelpful. We had to basically figure everything out for ourselves and if it hadn't been for a taxi driver which gave us a lot of info, we would have gotten completely lost in an area far away from the hotel. This was absolutely incompetent and unacceptable at a 4 star hotel. 2. We had hoped to use the spa of the hotel, which was highly advertised, to be kept waiting for over an hour after the supposed opening of the spa (11am, which in my mind was already quite late), and then have only ONE person available to offer services. Again, disappointing given the expectations and standards of a 4 star hotel/spa. Other than that, everything else was impeccable and a lovely experience. I hope the hotel takes this as helpful feedback to further their standards to what is to be expected."

"Holiday inn Thessaloniki is so called 5 star hotel, but it is actually not. it is not located right in the center of down town but is reachable by foot. my wife and i stayed there for 2 nights and the hotel can fulfill our basic needs. one incident happened which i think it is worth sharing. I could not locked the window so I called Housekeeping to help. A man came and he could not locked as well. and he asked me why do I need to lock the window, and i said i needed to lock the window. eventually he fixed it. "
