hotel congress is a block from suedtirolerplatz so it is easy to travel about vienna. hotel staff told us we would have a quite room on the backside of the hotel so we were not bothered with street noises. the desk clerk was happy to call the sightseeing bus company and confirm our day trip to budapest. hotel congress is one of the hotels that the bus comes to to pick up passengers for sightseeing. the breakfast was ample with a variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurt and cereals. all in all, our stay was a pleasant experience and we would return again.

Had a fabulous stay in Vienna. Superb accommodations, super clean and modern, brilliant location, just steps from all the metro and tram lines. The staff was incredibly helpful in anything we needed, recommending restaurants and making sightseeing plans. The complimentary water and beer, and even occasional pastry was a wonderful bonus. This is a superior hotel, we were very pleased with our stay there. I highly recommend it.

Novum Hotel chain always maintains a good standard clean comfortable room with knowlegdeable & friendly staff If I can open the window in summer I’m happy as AC is non standard across all Vienna hotels within this budget price. - you can always ask for a fan on very hot nights

With Vienna hotels booked at 85% full, I was scrambling to find a hotel for our December stay. The Hotel Schani staff are great, very helpful and the hotel is close to a tram that takes you downtown. Public transport is the way to travel - train station is also close by. Easy check in and check out.

This is an excellent hotel that is about 15 mins slow walk away from Hofburg Palace and the center of all things in Vienna. Designed from an earlier era, the hotel feels fit for a romantic (but not posh) movie setting in the 1950s. Well maintained and staffed by an excellent team, the service is polite and prompt. The rooms are huge (by EU standards) and spacious, with the bathrooms being the size of some budget French hotel rooms, suffice to say. Earnestly recommended as part of a wonderful Vienna stay.

We stayed at Flemmings during our visit to the Christmas Markets in Vienna. The hotel was in a perfect location, walking distance to all of the 7 markets we visited. The room was very spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. All in all very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

It is our second stay at NH hotel in Vienna, we found the location is perfect close to the city centre, metro . Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is very good. Wold like to book at it in our next visit.

Kaiserhif Wien was the best hotel out of 6 hotels stay in Czech and Austria. I stayed 4~5 star hotels during my travel but I don't understand why this hotel is 4 star. Room was very wide, facility was good, breakfast was fresh and plenty. Especially reception lady(should ask her name) welcomed with big smile and said good-bye gently. But only 1 lady answered phone my room-service after my long-day, she was very cold and made me feel offensive a little bit. Hope I could stay in this hotel soon.

My child and I enjoyed our weekend holiday at Hilton Hotel Vienna at Stadtpark a great deal. The location is superb, direct from airport s-bahn train or CAT Landstrasse. And just less than 2 minutes walk to U-bahn underground where you could reached the city centre; Stephansplatz and Mariahilderstrasse in just less than 15 minutes. The hotel is located next to the Stadtpark or Vienna City Park, I assumed the view from higher category in Hilton offered the best view of this park. From moment we arrived, staff was very attentive and thoughtful. Once we arrived in our room which were situated in a higher floor, we were so delighted and glad that our room was slightly larger and more spacious than we have thought. As usual for Hilton Chain hotels, the bed was so comfortable and the duvet was so soft and very relaxing- simply ultimately relaxing! The bathroom was okay with medium standard amenities offered. The room was cleaned and well taken care by the housekeeping lady who were so friendly, thoughtful and working hard to make sure every spots in room are not overlooked and well cleaned and organized. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choices of great hot and cold menus as well as made-to-order warm cookings, staff at the breakfast room was even more friendly and very efficient, all of them ensure that we received juices, teas and coffees to complemented our breakfast! One thing, that I wished this hotel would have is the swimming pool or at least small whirlpool where guests could access and included in the hotel tariff. Overall, the stay is remarkable and memorable one. Despite the fact, that our baggage from Milan Malpensa Airport delayed and haven't been located, the staff in the hotel ensured our stay is remarkable one! We will surely come back again.

It is all about location and comfort ... Just in the heart of mariahilfer strasse where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants and shops there .. The metro station is only 3 minutes walking from the hotel which can take you to most of Vienna attractions. The rooms are spacious and newly renovated and just underneath the hotel there is a carage park where you can leave your car while enjoying Vienna ... However, Car parking costs 19 euro per day and it was not included in my booking package. Any way it is better to avoid renting a car while staying in Vienna because the metro network works fine .... The break fast is simple but really good they always offer fresh baked breads and croissants ..

Highly recommended if you know the U-Bahn. As the location is just slightly outside the city centre, you need transportation. But it is convenience as the U-Bahn takes you to the city quickly. The service is ok as staff tries their best to help, if they are not sure about your enquiry, they would find somebody who can help. The room is not too big but he view faces the Donau River which is a plus. I love the bathroom space as it is big and the floor is at the same level and one does not need to climb the bathtubs to prevent slip and fall. The only thing is you need to ask for the kettle to make tea which the housekeeper gives us good quality of tea bags. Overall, excellent. I will choose this hotel again if I am travelling to Vienna again.

Short break in Vienna, hotel is 10 mins from the subway only a few stops and you are in the city centre. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful meals take were good and great views from executive lounge.

We always stay at Vienna airport NH hotel when transiting at Vienna. Hotel is clean, value for money, convenient and staff if excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone at any time.

There was a mix up at first upon checking in because I had booked this hotel and cancelled it once when I found a better rate through Agoda. They couldn't find my subsequent booking but it all got sorted out later. The staff was quite nice about it. Other than that, we couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The location was great - right beside Karntner StraBe (a shopping street) and St. Stephen's and a walking distance to everywhere. The next block had a McDonald's and a Billa Supermarket so you won't have a problem with supplies. You could tell the hotel was quite old because they had an old fashioned door within a door kind of thing which was a 1st for me. But the hotel was refurbished nicely. I actually thought it would be an old one based on the picture but the actual hotel was great! We loved Vienna and would surely stay here again!

I could go on for a long time about this hotel but put simply it is the best hotel in Vienna and one of the best anywhere that I have stayed in anywhere. Book it and you will not be disapointed

Hotel is really near the metro station so it's very good reachable from the city center. Room was large and simply furnished but it was nice and modern. Beside other usual facilities was in the room also Nespresso machine. Bathroom was also large and nice and without any doubt clean. Reception desk staff was helpful but a little bit unpleasant and a hotel surroundings was noisy at night. But overall is this hotel really great choise for a weekend staying in Vienna.

The place was rather new and everything was clean. There were an ample amount of restrooms and showers too. The kitchen was very nice as well. WiFi worked well and was fast! Power outlets were a bit too few (only two for a 4 person room). The room was also small and a little squeezy. The lighting inside the room was also too dim and dark. At night the surrounding area can be a little too dark, but Vienna is a safe place anyway.

The staff at Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom Hotel were very welcoming, helpful, efficient and attentive to customers' needs. Dining at the restaurant on the highest level (Le Loft) was memorable; there's such a panoramic view of the area. Food and service were great too. The bed was truly very comfortable such that it was difficult getting out of bed each morning. The only snag was the TV. Changing of channels was painfully slow. On our first night, we had some issues with the TV set. But the hotel compensated for this inconvenience with welcoming drinks for two at the bar which is beside the restaurant at the highest level. This little gesture speaks volume of the hotel's efforts in making customers feel welcomed and valued. There is a steak house called El Gaucho, at the ground level just outside the hotel premise but still within the building. This provides another choice for dining beside Le Loft at the highest level.

Hotel Geblergasse provides a comfortable stay for your trip to Vienna. It is near a metro station which can easily and quickly get you anywhere in Vienna. The room was a bit small, but was more than suitable for our 2 nights there. The price is great!

we chose this hotel for our new year's holiday based on reviews and were not at all disappointed. the location is great, a 2-minute walk from a railway/underground/tram station. the hotel was small enough to feel homely but not too small to make it claustrophobic. room was a good size and very clean. the bathroom was also comfortably roomy. breakfast was good, and we even had champagne on new year - a nice touch! the only negative i can think of is that there is no ventilation in the room apart from the window. this meant that we had to open it for some fresh air, which on cold days is not convenient. having said that i am more than happy to recommend the austria classic hotel wien and would like to express my gratitude to the staff for helping to make my first visit to vienna a memorable one!

Great location in Vienna, a short walk into town so fantastic value for money. Despite booking twin room they overlooked this request and showed us to a double room with no explanation! Staff were helpful once I insisted on my booking requirements. The lift is quite rickity......as previous comments have suggested, but still worked. A nice, clean hotel but maybe closer to 3* not 4??!!

I recently stayed there for 3 nights. The Ring hotel was perfectly situated for exploring Old Vienna. It was walking distance to all the sites. The hotel itself was nice and comfortable and the front desk staff was very friendly. The only complaint I had was the room was not cleaned the one day. Maybe it was due to it being Ascension day, but the housekeeping also did not answer their phone. Pretty perplexing. But overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I would definitely go back there when I'm visiting Vienna again.

Classical and beautiful hotel, The Bank restaurant is very good, the staff is more standard, just like the etiquette of the five-star hotel but there is not much enthusiasm temperature, the overall affinity can be strengthened.

Possibly one of the best hotel we have stayed during our deviation portion of our honeymoon trip. The hotel is very close to the Vien West HbF, hence it is very easy to get around the whole of Vienna. It is also close to the food joints, and if you arrive late at night,there is a restaurant at the corner which serves food till late at night. There's even a McDonalds around (500m walk away) and opposite the McD, is a row of clubs/lounges. We arrived late at night and the hotel staff is very pleasant to arrange the necessary for our room. The service here is excellent. What is the best about our stay here, is the room. Upon entering the room, you will feel that you are in a 5-star hotel. The bed is very nice and comfortable. The ambient is romantic as well. Even the washroom is classic luxury. If we ever get back to Vienna, we will stay in this hotel again.

It was a cold and snowy week but the hotel was a lovely welcoming and warming retreat after lots of walking across the beautiful city of Vienna. Breakfast was delicious, a different fruit smoothie and egg dish every day. Help yourself to tea, beer and a meatloaf roll in the afternoon reminded me of the wonderful ‘Happy Hour’ in Tel Aviv. I dropped one star just because it would be good to have tea/coffee in the room or somewhere so you can have a cup before bed. While my husband used the sauna, I played the piano in the lounge (with headphones so as not to offend anyone). A delightful treat. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat, visit and the best way to travel. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and would definitely return. Loved it!

Great place to stay, I would recommend it to persons that are in Vienna for a short time. The staff were very helpful. They had a lot of information about tourism.

Hotel staff are very helpful and nice - helped with day trip booking, arranging for pick up from the hotel, lend me some super glue when my shoe sole was peeling, always ready to provide directions around Vienna. Hotel is situated like 10 mins on foot to the Opera House. Hotel room and furniture is abit old but acceptable. So thankful that the hotel has a lift and air con within the room.

Myself and my wife stayed at the Hilton Vienna Plaza to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed with our choice of hotel, in fact we were delighted. The room was very spacious - a rarity in a city location these days; the staff were exceptionally helpful in everything we asked of them. The location is great - very close to the Hapsburg Palaces; the Christmas markets; Town Hall; Parliament etc. Also has a tram stop and underground within a few seconds of the front door. All in all a fantastic place for a short break.

Excellent hotel in an awesome location. Room was large and well appointed. Friendly and helpful staff. Will stay there again when I return to Vienna.

this is by far one of the best hotel I've stayed in Austria. Its a budget hotel but I can assure you a tip top cleanliness in the HOTEL rooms(I didn't stay in the hostel). we booked a family room and just love how clean and dust free the rooms are. nice smelling soaps and also new furniture. it is way better that A&O in Frankfurt. All the staffs are friendly, young and very helpful and even offered help to help with my room's window. really a pleasant stay. clean freaks should really stay here. Location wise, supers... its just beside the Wein Hauptbanhof and you can get to anywhere in the city as the metro station is also inside the big train station.
