Traveling to South Korea? Find Yeosu-si hotels

The reception staff member was friendly, helpful, and fully English/Korean bilingual. The room was simple and clean, but not large (basically a little standing room next to the bed/in front of the desk). The location was great, as it was just a couple of blocks from the seaside walkway that has all of the various musicians and restaurants in the evening. ( 'Busking' is a one of the draws of Yeosu.) I stayed in a double-bed room (when it was discounted, which is why 'value for the money' is at 5 stars).

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. View from my room window was really beautiful, overlooking the bay. Room was clean and comfortable. If I visit Yeosu again, I will probably stay here.

This is our honeymoon trip to korea and we wanted to stay in a hotel with the best sea view, nearby seafood restaurant and most importantly, places for us to explore. Yeosu has all the needs for us. After experiencing once, till today i still can't forget the feeling when i was there, still wanting to experiencing it again. One word to describe, FANTASTIC !!!

Pros: Good value for the type of hotel this was. MVL was twice the price. Room was clean and front staff were professional and helpful. Cons: The location isn't the most ideal. Few taxi drivers had no clue where the hotel was as it is located in an obscure spot. It cost about 5000 won from the train station to the hotel. To get to anywhere from the hotel, it cost about 5000 won so it is centrally located but can't walk to anywhere. Overal, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was nice that they had a convenience store and a chicken store at the hotel. If we had to come back, I would book another stay at the hotel.

Well, the hotel is situated in front of the water. I booked the double room n asked for twin room at the spot. They said yes without extra charge. The lady at the front desk spoke prefect putunghua. She is soooo friendly. Of, there's a cosy cafe next to the lobby.

No wardrobe so clothes properly keep in suitcase. Seems hotel is cater for overnight travel . Location wise , hotel is situated near the sightseeing but have to take a little ride

I don't know how others did it, but for a less-experienced traveler like me, whose knowledge in Hangul is level 1, I found it REALLY hard to find the guesthouse from the bus terminal. A kind ahjussi had to accompany me to the police station to help me find it. It is just across the Expo Station though, so you wouldn't have a hard time getting to it if you came by train. And that was very advantageous for me too, when I took the early morning train back to Seoul. But anyway, the guesthouse itself was nice, very clean. I stayed in a dorm room and had a locker to keep my valuables. Breakfast is better than most guesthouses - eggs, toast, jam, cereals, coffee - and a nice dining area to eat them. Receptionist was nice and kind. I'm not sure it was worth the price (stayed in better guesthouses that are much cheaper), but it could be that rates are more expensive in Yeosu.

Just opened a few weeks ago - the whole building, furniture, equipment, bedding etc is brand new and spotless! Nicely located near the aquarium 15 minutes walk from expo station towards Odongo. I was in a lovely 4 bed dorm that had a large window with water views. Spacious bunk bed with comfy mattress. Nice bright bathroom was attached. Hair dryer, hair straightener and all amenities (hydrating toner!) Free washing machine and drying lines on the rooftop garden. Free breakfast was toast and cereal, but some mornings there were extras like eggs and fruit. Free coffee machine. And the family who run it were really kind and helpful. The mother even took me out for some day trips and cooked me lunch a couple of times! English is a bit limited but its fine with the magic of a translation app :-) Originally booked one night but stayed 4 as I didn't want to leave! Plus the low price they are currently offering makes this a great bargain. My favourite guesthouse in Korea so far!!

We needed a room for a night before we left for Seoul before, we headed back to Seoul. While there are shops and restaurants near by, attractions for Yeosu far-about $10.00/20-30 mins. However, bus and train stations are really close and rooms are clean-if you don't mind some features. Hardly no contact with front desk....

Really quiet and clean. It is close to train station, but it was tricky to find. All shops around the area was closed and some construction going on, but hotel is hidden gem in Korea. There is a fireworks at night.

I loved the staff there - Grandma was really kind and friendly (although she couldn't speak English, she had her staff ready to help!) Walkable distance to the EXPO and the busy part of Yeosu. Highly recommend.

It was our choice to stay in this hotel as we wanted to go last minutes tour go Yeosu expo in South Korea, while on a business trip there. This hotel is a small sized cruise ship. It does really sail between Korea and Japan. So dont expect to find this hotel on a regular basis. There were only two of us on board with many many service people during our stay. Imagine! We were center of attention!!

This was a beautiful little hotel close to the water and within minutes of many of the great attractions in Yeosu. The staff was great and was ready to fill any need we had from bottled water to calling us a taxi. The rooms were bigger than expected, but if you are used to western style beds you might be a little surprised by the harder beds here in Korea. There were many places to eat within walking distance that would satisfy everyone in the group. Overall we had a great time and would stay at this hotel again next time we go to Yeosu.

While its proximity to the bus terminal was convenient and the rooms were significantly nicer than the typical Korean motel, the clueless staff ruined our stay. They are not used to dealing with Agoda reservations, so at first they refused to honor our reservations (despite it was already paid for and CONFIRMED). Agoda is at least partially at fault for not explaining to ownership how it works. They eventually let us in the the rooms, and woke us up at 2am (when Agoda called them to explain). Maybe next time they'll know how to deal with it better but unless you're going to Yeosu during a weekend in August, don't think you'll have problems securing a room around the terminal area, or in any other area in Yeosu. There are also way cheaper rooms all over the place.

Good place for a calm stay of 1 or max 2 days. Remember u need to get into a 5 mnt ferry to reach this place which is in a small islet. Designed for golf lovers.

This is probably the best hotel that you can possibly find in Yeosu. It is VERY pricey for what its worth but the hotel is relatively luxurious with nice silky bed sheets, clean room throughout, and most of all, the view of Yeosu sea. I highly recommend this place if you do not mind spending a bit of money and get an amazing view.

We did not know what to expect when we booked, but when we got to Yeosu, we were pleasantly surprised to find that U Castle was above the new business section of Yeosu and was relatively newer and very clean. The rooms are gigantic as are the baths, and the view of the city and surrounding hills are quite spectacular. The downside is that the hotel does not provide lunch or dinner so you have to drive down to town to eat both meals. There is also a Korean sauna attached to the hotel as well as a wedding hall, both of which are very busy on weekends. Looks like the sauna is always busy actually. When you book at the hotel, you get free passes to the sauna. Definitely worth trying, and the massage and scrub are well worth the $50 price as well. Great breakfast buffet spread here included with your room booking booking. Fantastic value overall.

If you are looking for a motel with "reasonable" condition, it could be a solution. But please don't expect too much. small room with uncomfortable bed matress. no closet or drawer. no shower curtain. no breakfast. But the young man in the front desk was kind enough to inform me a good tip to park(as the motel park was full of cars at that night). If I have chance to be in Yeosu again, I will try another "motel" at that area(there are several motels more in the vicinity of Bellagio)

The staff helped me out a great deal. They did not hesitate to help me figure out my flights, ferries, train rides for leaving the city. They spoke very good English and were exceptionally hospitable. I did lose my camera while I was there which was certainly hard but it was unclear whether it was my own fault or the actions of a resident unaffiliated with the staff. They checked security cameras, contacted recent guests to help me try to find it. The doors don't have locks, there are no lockers so to improve security this should be rectified. Just, be a cautious traveler. If you need a small cubby they will provide for you. Finally, I booked longer than I intended and they gave me a 50% discount on my third night. GOOD STAFF. Even had fresh homemade kimchi. THEY LOVE FOREIGNERS. I AM CANADIAN. THEY WILL TREAT YOU AMAZINGLY.

The hotel was at a nice location overlooking the water. Facilities were on par with other Korean motels. Only downside is lack of restaurants near the hotel. Either drive or ride taxi.

It has great hot shower if compare with other cities of Korea in winter,but nothing to do in winter season, I'll visit Yeosu in summer next time!!

View from the room is amazing. Litter off the way but bus station in the front. Bus number 111 every hour to town
