Container Hotel Ipoh offers more than I can ever ask for from a capsule hotel. The bathroom/washrooms are clean, well decorated. I didn't feel any uneasiness even as a solo female staying in the mixed pod. The capsule was cozy personal space, bed was comfortable, and very thoughtful of them to provide 2 pillows and a towel for each bed. What I would like to give credit the most would be their extremely excellent service. I sprained my ankle during the day in a tournament, and returned late to the hotel when shops were mostly closed, I couldn't find a place to get ice and bandage for my ankle. The receptionist offered to buy ice for me somewhere nearby and gave me a bandage. She even refused to accept my money or any tips upon checking out, so here I am writing this review. Thank you so much for the kindness and humanity. :) definitely returning if I ever need accommodation in Ipoh again.

Comfiest bed ever”
I had probably th me best sleep possible at container hotel. If you don't mind the occasional door opening and closing. It's a hotel at a hostel price, with hotel quality. The location is down a straight road from the train station, though the surrounding area closes early, the "new town Ipoh" is about a 15-20 minute walk away. You should still be able to find some food shops open past 5PM, like Lou Wong, Old Town Coffee, and other small shops. With that, it is about a 15 minute walk to the old bus terminal Medan Kidd, where local buses are and there is also an Express bus to Taiping - without having to go all the way to Terminal Amanjaya. Did I mention, there's a slide?

Simple yet memorable stay”
Container hostel is well located right the middle of Ipoh Major Attraction. Walking distance from train station that made the hotel very easy to reach & to find. The pods is well thought designed, very comfy & clean. Howevey the privacy blind could've been better, people still can sneak inside your pod right thru side of the blinds. And its makes sounds when you hit the blind rod. In the morning you doesnt wanna hear the sound of to metal collided :) afterall, container hotel is good place to stay especailly for solo traveller or friends trip! Love the slide as well!

I was determined to try out this new hotel concept since I was only looking for a place to sleep and refresh myself this weekend while I travel to n fro Ipoh and UTP. It turned out to be one of the best experiences for me so far. Container Hotel not only provides us with the basic necessities for a traveler but allows guests to have more interactions with one another and get to know other people from different nationalities. Good for Money with Superb Basic Facilities”
I stayed for one night. The container is quite compact with light and air conditioning. The washroom is shared among floor but it's equipped with hot water shower and (literally) unlimited supply of shampoos. Free Wi-Fi is provided but coverage is poor in containers area. I was quite lucky because not many people making noises on the night. Every container come with a locker that can only be unlocked with your card. However, one draw back is the utility supply slot (where you slot in your card to gain power) is located quite awkwardly and it's easy to be stealed by someone else to unlock your locker. The container size is just nice for my height (167cm) but I wonder how 180cm people will fit. Overall, with this price, it's worth every penny.

well the location is nice because near with the KTM station also medan kid bus terminal. located in Kota lame, Ipoh so manybold building around that where I have many good photo. the hotel building is good in visual look also inside look design also great. facility for toilet either for shower or else I love it, so clean. water also good. what am less satisfy : 1 ... their is a man staff (India) who are less of smile and but not nice when he talk. cause at that time I have several thing to ask. the woman staff are good and polite. 2 ... wifi internet connection is so slow when am there. so I mostly use my own phone data internet. 3 ... two night am there, two night also there is a mosquitoes that bother my sleep. I have on the air conditioning but almost the same. so I just cover my body fully with blanket. 4... no breakfast provide. either bread or tea are not exist. so u must go out side. 5 ... in Agoda advertisement there is a man bunker, woman bunker and mix bunker. I choose man bunker. but when am there my bunker area are not man fully. there is also a woman there. so if it all only have mix bunker just mention it also in the advertisiment. luckily there is also near with big mosque of Ipoh so I just can take a walk to praying in mosque only take 1 minute to the mosque. near the mosque there is also place for us to have food and beverage. open only 9 am - 6 pm. cheap f & B. local food and Asia food mostly. place is very clean. good for breakfast, lunch and havinh evening food. most of the seller are Malaysian people.it also provide table and chair so we can enjoy our f & B there also. one u should remember that price that already mention in Agoda is not include with the region tourist tax. region tourist tax will be given when u arrive at the hotel. It a new regulation that being publish since end of August. at my time stayed in charge region tax 10 RM/night. I took two night so I charge 20 RM. we should pay directly cash money to hotel reception. ( this

This is my second time choose container hotel as my accommodations. but what i want to comment here is not the hotel but for the other traveler, tourist or whatsoever. We can tolerate if you guys want to make a noise, laughing like pontianak, watching videos with high volume, talking out loud if timing is around 10 pm-11 pm but if 12pm and above you girls nearly make me wanna smack you down because of you didn't respect other people's privacy or sleeping time. We are so tired and needed a rest kot. go search the other hotel if you want to keep that attitude. this hotel might not suitable for people like you.

Container hotel is located right in between about 5 cafes which also happens to be a hotspot for tourists and people looking for lunch. Parking can be hard to find, and you need to buy parking coupons to park in proper parking spaces during the day. Or else, there are parking lots run by some people who charge an arm and a leg for a few hours' parking. Besides the parking problem, everything else about the place is pretty much perfect! Towels and bottled water provided, comfortable bed, heated shower with shampoo and body wash provided, clean toilets, and the pods have blinds that can shut out the brightest of suns so that you can take that nap you need.

The location of the container hotel couldnt be better. Its right near everything. The place including the bathrooms was very clean, but it is also brand new. I thiught i was booking a provate room, but just a container bed. each bed has its own light, desk, aircon ans lock box, as well as a shade. I felt like i was staying in a hostel without the ambiance which honestly was exaclt what as a budget 30 yo travel i wanted that night.

Friendly staff, Clean toilet with a rate of 8/10. Location is situated in a strategic place- nearby Concubine Lane and some Cafes (Nam Heong) which are quite famous. Parking is easy as well since we reached there at night and we are able to park at a nice place. Towel are provided together with a free bottled drinks. No refill of water can be found there, hence you might need to buy before you go there. A lil shop selling car park coupon/ drinks and foods are available but since we reached there at 11pm, the shop is closed. Overally, this container hotel is highly recommended due to its comfortableness and cleanliness. Design are simple but nice. You probably encountered one or two mosquitoes inside your container room, so advise to prepare the necessary wisely.

Very new experience to me, wanted to try this long time ago. Booked the room at a promotion price, super worth of money! Very clean and color tone was very comfortable. However, my "container" was on top of another "container" and i needed to climb a ladder to reach my bed. Getting up is ok, but getting downwards always give me a fright.

Small but cosy! ”
I'd booked the queen size bed and there's actually " city view". Is really cosy and comfortable! However, the curtain to cover your area bed is not full, there will be a little lesser privacy and a little noisy when there's guests talking in the corridor . Common bathroom are clean and gender bathroom are seperate into different floors. Design of Container hotel is really interesting and also, you can even take a slide down from 2nd storey to reception area!

Convenient, clean, and strategically located. If you are flying solo in Ipoh, this accommodation is recommended. It is close to Ipoh Railway Station (walking distance) amid cluster of old shop houses. At that time, it was quiet and comfortable. The Comfort Rooms were also clean. The interior design concept is fit for millennials, too. And it's pretty affordable!

Not to mention that there is numerous restaurants around it, is within walking distance to the State Mosque and Ipoh Railway Station. It is also situated on the path of the Heritage Walk, is practically by Concubine Lane, etc. My top choice for female solo travelers.

In Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore; all the container hotel are all equipped with a glass cover and also blind; so that traveller can really go for sleep without any worries; even though the Fire Department do not permit the glass cover in Singapore for security reason; some container hotel still have it; here in Malaysia there is no rules prohibiting the glass cover; why not have it...

Modern and Stylish vs Old Charm”
This a nice twist to an old town vibe place like Ipoh. It's chic and cheap for us backpackers who like a nice showers and comfy bed. It does have the nicest location to see the sights in Ipoh plus ride-share cab know this place. One problem though is i think it's short staffed because the check in/out took a lot of time. They should add more than the 2 they have on shift.specially during peak hours. Also, the ladders is a struggle to use at night (where the AC is at full blast) because it's cold and steep; might want to put a slice rubber mat in each step. Apart from those two concerns, it's a good value for money.
