The staffs were so so nice. They responded pretty fast to your need. We booked a room with kitchen and ultensils, and it was fantastic. Note that it took 20 mins to the airport ( about $10) and 15mins to Thi Tran Duong Dong. For those who hate mosquitoes, beware. Five star for everything except the mosquitoes :(

First, carefully booked for 10 days, then extended to the end of the trip for another 10, because I realized that it is better not to find. I think this is one of the best places in Phu Quoc in terms of price and quality: a full-fledged low-cost hotel room with shower and toilet, with its own territory and a garden near the beaches. There are not so many nightclubs like Long Beach, but here there is a lot of nature with the sea and the jungle, and also cultural friendly fellowship. Staying at the hotel was like staying with a circle of friends: you all know, everyone knows you. Barbecue with seafood, Christmas, New Year, local stories and local characters (for example, Tyoko is a friendly Turkish volunteer, who knows the local movements). The hotel has its own life, of which you can become a part. A sharp turn off the road leads you down into the Sen Viet Phu Quoc Resort. We were greeted warmly by smiling staff, who were more than happy to take our bags and make our arrival incredibly easy. We walked up to the front desk and they knew our names already! Check in took less than 10 seconds and we were shown to our room. Lovely wooden interiors, big comfy bed, really unique outdoor bathroom and shower and all the perks and amenities of a 5 star hotel. The hairdryer was much appreciated by my boyfriend. The pool was awesome, breakfast and all the food we ate there was also brilliant ( can HIGHLY recommend the chicken soup! ) and all served by such wonderful and happy staff who truly made the hotel shine even brighter. Would highly recommend to all friends and family. Thank you!

Quality accommodation, family run, at a very modest price. We found that good quality accommodation in and around Duong Dong and the beaches was out of our price range. Ha Phat was the only decent accommodation (via Agoda) within our budget. We found only two Trip Advisor reviews, both positive, so decided to give it a go and had a really good 3 night stay. The only drawback is the location - on our first day it took us 3/4 of an hour to walk to the market area of Duong Dong. But after that we rented motos from the nice family who run the place. When anything went wrong - one night the WiFi went down and another night there was no hot water - they were very friendly and helpful in sorting out. Our room was spacious, attractive, comfortable and well appointed. If you're looking for quality accommodation at a budget price and you don't mind not being by the beach then we heartily recommend this place.

Language barriers with the staffs,inside the resort compound is clean with newly planted landscaped but outside external from the perimeter gates it is like back in Cambodia's year zero....unpaved roads and trash garbage littered all around 😲.... Karaoke blasts the surroundings from 5.00pm till late night 10.00pm from all those local cracks and artistes wannabe... Warning...Travel advisory alerts and in personal discretion.

Pretty ideal for us, a couple on 2 night in Duong Dong. Price is good, location is on main road but not further out of the city which we liked as it’s a bit more quiet. Room was good by local standards. Owner was very friendly and nice, also renting is his motorbike for 2 days at good price and arranging us an early morning taxi to the ferry terminal on the other side of the island. Overall we recommend!

I had a nice stay at Tang Thanh Phat hotel. The standard room I had was large and comfortable enough for two people. It felt like my own little house with a shared wall with the neighbor. I got windows with garden view on three sides of the room. It was a corner room in a four-room cottage . Each room got its own spacious entry that looked sort of like a patio and a nice solid wooden door. The cottages were pretty new with tile flooring throughout and very clean and beautiful. Air conditioner was new and worked great. Plenty of hot water for shower. A lot of electrical outlets in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. They kept for me my money , credit cards , tablet , and phone so I didn't have to bring them to the beach. I also left these things in my bag in my room and it was safe. I also borrowed stuff like a water boiler, a little knife to cut fruit, a bucket to rinse my clothes and received everything very quickly. I used the hotel free bicycle every day. It was pretty new and worked great and I totally enjoyed riding to a nice, calm and swimming beach (Ong Lang) about 2 km from the hotel and also to the Duong Dong town also about the same distance in the opposite direction. I just had to apply care and courtesy as should be when riding on the streets and was very safe when riding. There were small places to eat along the street -or highway, not too far from the hotel that were pretty good, clean and very cheap, like about a dollar for a meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner). The hotel offers breakfast that was not part of the room rate, the menu and price were not bad but I didn't try it yet. May be next time! Overall I had a great stay at Tang Thanh Phat and would recommend it for people who like to have a quiet, relaxing, safe, and affordable vacation at the beautiful Phu Quoc island.

This is an beautiful and tranquil place to stay! We stayed (a young couple) as our first location in Vietnam after a busy time travelling Cambodia. It was fantastic for recovering a be chilling out before travelling north through Vietnam. The bungalow as are fantastic; set as jungle bungalow as with outside bathrooms (strange on first sight but really nice). The garden is lovely and made it ideal for relaxing a an planning the next phase of our trip. Breakfast was good and we hired a motorbike from Huong to see the island. I am not too sure where he the location was the best on the island as it was the only place we stayed. It is 40 minutes on a motorbike to the recommended Sao Beach (but we weren't overly impressed with it there any way - very touristy with Vietnamese and Germans). There was a local beach (5 minutes ride) with warm water and we had it all to ourselves. I had never used a moped/scooter before and it was the perfect palace to learn. Huong was amazing; explaining where to go and how to get there. She also helped us plan our trip of Vietnam and gave good advice in good English. More impressively, she took me out on the motorbike to teach me to ride it and we were extremely grateful. They were happy to arrange transferred to ten airport so might be worth contacting before arrival to avoid being over charged. This was a really trustworthy place to stay.

I stayed in Mandala Pool Villas for two weeks. I stayed in Villa number 2 (102): Plus: - located close to Ong Lang Beach (very nice one). But you will need a motorbike to get there and to any shop (50 minutes walk to the beach, more then an hour to the shop) - very nice pool plus little jacuzzi - shower available also outside - cleaning service was very good - a lot of space - compared to other offerings on Phu Quoc (and their standard), Madala quality is really good Minus: - there is a warehouse (steel pipes) next to the fence. Not the best view and they start working around 7AM (it will wake you up!). They don't work all the day though, but you will hear them from time to time. I wasn't aware of that when I made a booking and I was really upset with it during the whole stay - very little fridge. Almost no chance to store any food/drinks there. If you would like to cook something bigger, you will not have a chance to keep it for the next day

Nice hotel, only 1 star but have many facility, free water, tea, swimming pool and free breakfast. The staff is friendly. I will recommend for my all friends to visit Phu Quoc.

Wonderful stay with family owned place. Willing to help with any needs you have. From Renting there mopeds to driving you in there van. If it’s a quiet place your looking for with pool, beach within walking distance and a few really good restaurants. This is a gem for sure. Planned on staying three nights and ended staying a week.

We had a good stay on Phu Quoc Island- the major town is about 5kms away- fine if you hire a motorbike. however be aware you will have to travel over a bumpy dirt road to get to town- you can go the long way around but will cost you much more in a taxi. Super clean room, bathroom was good too - only downside was the shower was super intense very thin streams of water which can be quite painful if you want a decent pressure. My only complaint was my headphones seem to have gone walkabout.. I know I had them in the room and they definitely aren't with us now- since unpacking in our new hotel...
