Money well spent, not the best but pretty ok”
The hotel restaurant is amazing but the room is not that great. Our tv didnt work, and we dont have serveral things that vietnamese hotels usually have, ex rapid boil eletric kettle and bidet water gun. The wifi signal is full most of the time but we still had a hard time connecting to internet (doable but the speed is terrible). Overall i still think this is a good hotel (very good restaurant, cheap room, nice view, friendly host and close to cuc phuong national park)

Pretty ok !!”
The location is very near to Cuc Phuong making it a good choice. Very reasonable price and welcome host. If you need a place to stay a night, this is the place. At this price, can't ask for more.

Dated”
Owner picked us up from our homestay. Rooms r dated and beds are hard. Doesn’t look like the picture on website. Very noisy with dogs, pigs and chickens. When we got back from dinner the gate was closed so we were locked out. Had to go to neighbour to ask him to call the owner to open gate.

Very nice stay”
This small hotel has new clean rooms at ground level run by a friendly family. You can sit outside with views on the hills. We stayed for 5 nights and had most of our meals there. Food is excelent. The owner speaks english and deals with requests and issues (mattrass, hot water) quickly. The hotel is located 2 km from the Cuc Phuon Park entrance. The bus to Hanoi stops in front. We hired a motorbike from the owner of the hotel. This is a good way to explore both the national park and the surroundings. We could easily reach Trang An, Bai Dinh, Ninh Binh City and other sights from here on motorbike. Roads are mostly in good condition with few traffic. We also explored the small roads around Nho Quan. During our walks in Cuc Phuong National Park we saw very few other visitors (december).

Home base to explore Cuc Phuong National Park and endangered species. ”
Cuc Phuong Hotel is a gem waiting to help you enjoy the stunning surrounds of Cuc Phuong in Ninh Binh Province. Tucked away between the karst hills reminiscent of Halong Bay and the National Park specialising in the protection of endangered species such as langurs, pangolins and turtles, this retreat is the perfect base to relax, sightsee or learn about how to save a few species. Luan and Thuy’s place features a choice of rustic cabins with mosquito nets and fans or air conditioned cabins. Thuy’s meals are simple and incredibly delicious. Luan offers advice on transport, activities and hires out motorcycles at a reasonable rate. We took this option to explore the caves and walks in the nearby National Park. He also dropped us into Ninh Binh to catch the bus. The whole family made us feel very welcome and I hope to visit them again some day.

A peaceful retreat minutes from National Park”
If you’re looking for a get away from the loud city then this is the perfect place. Cuc Phuong Hotel is located amidst the awe inspiring karst landscapes of Ninh Binh Province. The bungalows have a rustic, natural charm that’s perfect for relaxing. The family that runs the hotel is extremely kind and the food they serve in the restaurant is fresh and delicious. We hope to return here one day. A great place to make memories! Make sure to rent a motorbike or bicycle and let your mind wander as you ride through the rural mountain roads!

Great staff, beautiful sceneries, close to National Park, really good food ”
Our stay at Cuc Phuong offered us more than we expected. The room was exceptional nice, considering how inexpensive it was. The AC worked very well, the bathroom was clean, and it was very private. The meals were fresh and filling, as the food came from their garden. The family was also very lovely. We had dinner with the owner, his wife and two comical children, a few nights; we truly enjoyed their company. The hotel is conveniently located near Cuc Phuong National Park, which was a bonus. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel and would go back in an instance.

Great 2 days.”
I had a great stay here. Lovely family who are always ready to help. Good food too at a very reasonable price.. Proximity to Cuc Phuong park is very good. I hired a motorbike easily from the family and drove the 4 miles up hill into the park. Staying more than one night is best as the middle of Cuc Phuong park is over another 20 km from the gate...this is where the main walks are and more established jungle. Loved the bungalow. ..nice and airy and great hammock. Magic!.

Very good”
The cuc phuong hotel is very cute and friendly:) the family who owns the place really tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Its like a homestay but still with a lot of privacy. If you book there just inform yourself correctly how to get there in a easy way. get a bus to no quan and not ninh binh. We did that and it was very inconvinient. Have fun!

familiar homestay near Nationalpark ”
We stayed 3 nights and loved the quiet and familar athmosphere, enjoyed breakfast and dinner- cooked to our likes, sitting in the dark in front of our bungalow watching the lightworms. We could hire a Motorbike in there to be flexible and go around/to the nationalpark (2km) which is well worth being/hiking there. Otherwise your good english-speaking host will drive you. We spend a beautiful daytrip on two motobikes with them on our way back to Ninh Binh riding trough rural landscape and the mountains, visiting a cave, going on a boat trip... How to go there: Go to Noh Quan by bus and call the hotel for a pickup by motobike or take a taxi (making sure you take the direct way 11..15km) or take the bus from hanoi to the nationalpark, which passes by the hotel.

The property was excellent and the staff very friendly. ”
The establishment was located just a few kilometers away from Cuc Phong National Park. It was quiet and beautiful. The staff were friendly. The beer cheap. And the food was good. It was nice waking up there and watching the morning fog lift and locals tending to their fields.

Great stay! Friendly, family-run hotel.”
This was a new hotel and had no reviews on Agoda so I was taking a chance booking this, but it turned out to be a great hotel! I booked a dorm room, can't beat that, but since I was the only one in the hotel the owner upgraded me to a private room for the same price. Even better! There family owns a restaurant 200m down the road where I walked to and ate breakfasts and dinner. The food was very good. Nothing gourmet, but cheap and very tasty. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. I got lost trying to find the hotel so I called him and he came to pick me up. He was also very helpful with directions and suggestions on what to see during my stay. My only complaints would be that the bed was a little hard, wifi signal in the room was a little weak (just outside it was fine), and there were some insects in the room but we learned to co-exist. All in all with regard to value, what i got vs what I paid, it was a great stay and I would recommend to any traveler on a tight budget.

Great hotel outside Cuc Phuong Park”
The owner of the hotel was very nice, and we had a great stay here. We had a very tasty dinner at the hotel including the local specialty of snails (they were tasty, give it a try!). There is no menu, he just asks what you want and cooks up food; the entire feast was reasonably priced at 120,000 dong for two. Beer is also very reasonable at 15,000 a bottle. The included breakfast was also very nice: a large pancake with a plate of fruit and a drink. The room was clean enough and in line with what you would want expect from a small family guesthouse. The wifi worked well in the room, although it didn't work at the restaurant area. We would happily stay here again as it is the best budget option for exploring the national park. He is adding a new building now for dorms, so there should be a dorm option soon. Note that the roads to the hotel are dirt and a bit rough in many places, allow enough time if traveling by motorbike.

Such good value for money”
The room was so spacious and clean, it was by far the best accommodation I've had for the price during 3 months in Asia. The owners were lovely and cooked delicious food, plus drove me around the park, waited for me to finish hiking then took me to catch my bus all for a really reasonably price. Great service and a great stay.

Meh”
Well, the hotel got overbooked, so we stayed the first night in a room with no air conditioning. The second night, we requested twin beds, but because the hotel was overbooked, we got downgraded to a room with a double bed. The power kept going out and it was really hot. They overcharged us for food and the owner is a bit handsy. There are better places to stay in Ninh Binh for sure.

Nice homestay 4km from Cuc Phuong Park”
Luận and his wife are very kind hosts and I enjoyed my one night at their homestay. I wanted to spend a day visiting the park and this homestay was a perfect location for that, just 4km from the entrance of the park. You can rent motorbikes from Luận to venture into the park. Dinner was simple but good and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Breakfast is not included. I couldn’t find the AC remote in the room but it wasn’t necessary as the evenings are cooler in the countryside and my single room had a fan. Luận was able to give me a ride to the train station which was a little cheaper than a taxi :)
