Really enjoyed my stay”
Dalat Alan Hostel is a great little place and really good value for money. Free breakfast & dinner - which is delicious - make this the best value hostel we've stayed in so far. It was a really social place when we were there so maybe not your best bet if you need quiet and alone time. My main negative comment was that the staff seemed overwhelmed at times (we were there during the Lunar NY so it might not always be that way) which caused a few problems, due to overbookings and such. Location was great for us, not in the tourist centre so cheaper and more local places around, but within walking distance of everything. All in all, I can definitely recommend the place.

At Dalat Alan Hostel you will feel home. The staff are amazingly kind and generous. They would serve dinner for everybody in the hostel. I'm not talking about a simple dinner but at least a 3 dishes dinner. My staying was absolutely fantastic. They offer tours and make sure you're enjoying your staying and are not getting bored. The only negative thing is the bathroom that was in the dorm had a really bad smell so I was using the one outside (which was completely fine). I am not sure they changed the sheet in the bed...

I had a great time staying at Dalat Alan hostel! The reception are very friendly and helpful. They actually want to interact with the guests. I have stayed at hostels in the past that felt more like hotels because everyone was so quiet and stayed in their rooms. I would stay here again.

Free breakfast & dinner!! Cant go wrong & sucha great price! Great food ! Will cater to vegetarians! Room was clean i slept so comfortably, i was in the female dorm & the only thing is i could hear everything going on in the room next to me but nothing that bothered me. Mr happy welcommed me with a hug and right away i felt at home! He is seriously the sweetest & smiliest person in Vietnam! He will help and cater to your every desire. He Brought me to the hotspots in dalat for bars,food,coffee! I also booked a 2 day motorbike tour with him and it was phenomanel! Make sure you do the homestay! His friend or his family! You will not be dissappointed best service and hostel experience i had in Vietnam, although there is not much to do in Dalat for some reason i was sad to leave! Do not hesitate here!!

This is by far my favourite hostel I have stayed in in over a year of travelling through Asia and Australia. It is so, so friendly and amazing value for money. $5 a night gets you your accommodation, breakfast AND evening meal (which is fit for a King!). We planned 2 nights but extended a further 2 just because we loved it so much. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and have a light/plug for charging per bed. The bedding is clean, smells lovely and they have towels which you can use also. Shared bathrooms are also clean and modern. After many stays in filthy, cramped money grabbing hotels/hostels this was just so refreshing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would recommend to anybody passing through Dalat! :) Also, we booked a canyoning trip through them which was great fun and also good value for money. Have fun on your visit!

Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in!”
They set up a huge table for breakfast and dinner, which is included in the prize for the bed, and everyone is getting together to share delicious varying dishes. I've never had that in a hostel before and loved it. There's always delicious and free green tea! The staff is great and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, and my bed was comfortable. Bring a lock for the locker. Other reviews say they don't have lockers, but they do, they just don't provide the locks. I would have loved to stay much longer, but didn't have the time. Next time I'll stay there again for sure, I highly recommend the Alan Hostel. Thank you for having me!

Really Nice and Friendly Hostel”
I booked and stayed in this hostel for 4 nights after reading so many good things written about it. I wasn't disappointed. I arrived late (almost 10pm) after my flight was delayed. Upon checking in the lady at the reception asked if I wanted dinner and cooked me a delicious warm meal. Throughout the stay I see only friendly faces. Thank you all for your hospitality - Lan, Happy, Nhi, can't remember the name of the older lady and her son. To me just the free breakfast and dinner alone is already worth the price of what I paid! During the common dinner we also had a good time and opportunity to mingle with other travelers staying here. Booked a trip with Happy to the countryside and also city tour, which was very good and informative. Definitely will stay here again if I come back to Dalat!

Fantastic hostel”
I can't imagine any better place to stay in Dalat. Both breakfast and a communal dinner are included and delicious, the staff are super friendly and helpful (and speak excellent English) and they can organise tours, rent scooters at a great price and and help out with anything else you might need. Amazing value for money and a great, friendly place to stay.

Exceptional”
A great little hostel. We had a private en-suite double room which was lovely and clean. Breakfast and dinner provided. Breakfast is simple but does the job. Dinner was different every night and was amazing each time. Crazy that it is included in the price. Staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. Helped us book two days activities and our onward travel. Have not experienced better service in any hostel we have stayed in. Also, location was great and close by to many amenities. Highly recommended.

Best hostel me and my friend had in 2 month Viet Nam”
Me and my friend booked 2 beds in the dorm. The son of the owner gave us a free upgrade to a private room, because the dorm room was "almost full" and "busy". We stayed in the private room 4 nights and paid 2€ each. It was the cheapest hostel and best hostel on our whole 2 month trip through Viet Nam. The son of the owner is very friendly, funny, has good english skills and good recommendations. We played cards with the staff and drank rice wine, unforgettable moments :)

very good hostel with free dinner”
The hostel was located in the city centre of Da Lat. They provide lockers, free breakfast and free dinner. Their dormitories provided curtain so you could have a little privacy in the public areas. The entire environment was cozy and clean. It was suitable for all types of travellers. Just a tip, switching on hot water button and waiting 15 minutes can more easy to get hot water when showering.

Great place to stay ”
What an amazing hostel! Nice staff (the lady owner has a more reserved way of being, but it's super nice and helpful), super clean, good mattress, nice sheets and blanket (edredon). Good breakfast, and, besides all that, delicious dinner also included in the price of the accommodation. Better is not possible! I totally recommended it and of course I would stay here again if I came back.

The neighborhood was about a 20 min walk to the city center however because of that you are submerged in their culture. They have a your guide Viet that will take you on a personal tour and he knows everyone.Breakfast was good and included. Beds were big.staff was really helpful

This hostel is miles away from all the actions! Go stay behind the Dalat market. Summer time might be better walking that long ( it is really far!) but not in cold Dalat winter. I feel like I have missed out so many in Dalat.
