What a wonderful place”
A beautiful historic place in a lovely garden setting. Talking to my friends on the phone, they ask me are those birds chirping? Yes that's what you hear. Close to everything yet so quite and beautiful. Near the old historic train station. The villas are lovely old stone buildings that one housed the French railway management. They have fireplaces in case you are in Da Lat during cold weather. The cafe in a old rail car is fun-sound track is all genres of train related music, cool pics of old trains. Food is good and your morning coffee is refilled. Curtis and his wife an very nice, welcoming and helpful. I stayed at couple places in Da Lat before I found Train Villa. Once I found it I moved then extended. had about a week there. A special place with a special vibe. Don't miss out-check this place out. :)

Best stay in Dalat”
Very spacious room. Good breakfast with spectacular view of Dalat Center from the window of hotel's restaurant. You could visit to many popular cafes and tea shops next street by foot. It takes only 10-15 minutes.

Very Quiet French Villas”
Beautiful garden and nice French old villas, good place to sleep. Feel like you own it for your stay! Just a bit basic facilities, not very close to the city center.

Great value of money and perfect location”
Great property located quite close to Da Lat central, but far enough to enjoy the quietness and fresh air of the Central Highland. Moreover, extremely nice staffs, huge garden for photo shooting and the villa's restaurant together earn superior points.

Great stay! Amazing staff.”
Loved this place. Location just a bit outside the center but still walkable. Super helpful staff. My only criticism were the many mosquitos in our room without a mosquito net.

Environmentalist should go here”
The old French railroad buildings are re-purposed into a hotel. It is a great place for railroad buffs, lovers of architecture and millennial environmentalists to stay. The French passenger train is the dining room (along with outside patio seating) and the meals served are first rate. As is the staff.

Very good”
Room is getting very old, mold on walls, quite dark and humid but of course outside scenery is nice. Very quiet on the first night and we got waken up at 7am by loud and repetitive music on the the second day. Breakfast is basic but good

Conveniently located close to the Dalat Railway Station ”
I stayed at the Dalat Train Villa because of its proximity to the Railway Station and my wish to experience the short train ride to Trai Wat . The villa actually consists of several types of accommodation in old cottages located in a bosky park like area. The highlight of the complex is the restaurant in a converted railway carriage. It's very well decorated and quite cozy on a cold evening. It has an extensive menu, the staff, service and food were excellent. My room was quite small with no TV but was comfortable clean and had plenty of hot water - important when the temperature dropped to 15 c on a November evening. The Train Villa can be difficult to find. I would suggest more signage on the main road and some illuminated signage to help people find the place after dark. I wasn't the only one who spent nearly an hour locating the villa!! Also the location isn't central. A taxi ride is necessary to get you to the town center. But all in all a very pleasant stay and good value.

a re-purposed facility - old railroad maintenance buildings. Fun, not fancy.

Good”
Lots of mosquitoes but you can ask the staff and they will come and spray your room. breakfast is not really good (we think it is always free even though we paid for it on Agoda, they did not check if it was included or not for our room and it seems like everyone can have free breakfast). It is a bit far from the city center but close to the ancient train station (5-10 minutes walk). Rooms were clean except for the mosquitoes problem and when I oppened the fridge I saw that the previous guests left somethings in the fridge and it was still there). Overall, value for money is OK. It is charming as this is historic building but I think you can find something more convenient for a similar price or cheaper.

Poor service attitude of staff - Respect guest if you want to be respected”
Staff (sound like a boss/manager) feel annoying when guest asking 2 breakfast ( we booked 2 rooms seperately - 1 person per room ) that's too bad, and certainly we do not want to go back to the hotel that served so again.

One of the most disappointing stays I had in Vietnam”
I decided to stay here, because so many people recommended this place, but was really disappointed... I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that we got our room at about 50% discount, but the room was unbelievable. There was dirt and dust on the floor, the bed sheets were not fresh, when I flipped the blanket I saw multiple hairs, dead bugs and stains. In the morning, we found a mouse near our bags inside the room. They surely have a very nice garden, and is located in a quite place, but the room was just a nightmare. People who cannot keep all of their rooms clean to the minimum standards for their guests should not run a home stay.

Value for money”
My first hotel in Dalat is located in the centre of the city so it gets very noisy at night. I decided to move to a hotel that is a little further away from the central. Dalat Train Villa is very close to the old train station. I only paid less than half of the regular price because it was not the peak season and the area was not the mostly visited area. I thought I would get a room but instead I had an apartment (studio) to myself, which is much bigger than I thought and it is very very nice. There are only four apartments in the estate. Each apartment has a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom. It is perfect for a family. The owner is a very beautiful Vietnamese woman who speaks fluent English. The breakfast is amazing. The only thing I would warn other visitors is: it is very cold at night so you'd better wear something warm like a jacket or a sweater. I rented a scooter to go around Dalat. Walking is doable but a little too much.

Good but...”
A good train-thematic place with a nice garden to chill. Or for your kids to play. - Some days it's very cold in Dalat, and not all rooms equipped by heaters in this hotel. The tile floor is very cold and I think it's very important to mention to customers that there's no heater. There was a fake fireplace, which has an outlet. I assumed there's a heater and asked stuff. They told me "we don't provide heaters anymore". The coziness of the rooms and warmth is something management should think about. We got a room 14A, right next to billiard and bar. It was OK during the day, but not that good at night. Some drunk people were listening to freaking loud metalhead music and yelling. It was easy to hear in the room and disturbed at night. + Cozy restaurant in the old train car. Quite good breakfast included: eggs, fruits, muesli, drinks, bread, butter, and jam. Quiet location. Can sit in the garden and chill. Staff is quite friendly and let us use the grill.

Beautiful Place”
The room is basic but warm and cute! They have the train bar for breakfast and dining which is our most favorite part of the compound! The staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Loved being in Dalat”
We enjoyed being there very much. Enjoyed staying at a place that is different than a hotel. The the villas are restored in a way that they have not lost the beauty of the past. They are comfortable and the grounds are well kept.
