Great Hotel! i have stayed at Alagon properties before. This is the best of them so far! Great price and great concept. All the floors have exotic spa like atmosphere. The roof top because of size limitation have a three jacquzzi concept where each jacuzzi has different water temperature. But the small size is made up for by the cozy, comfortable atmosphere and the jacuzzi bar tops it off of couse.! The only reason i have four stars to the location is it is not in the center of district 1 but it is still good because it is right next to the Binh Than market and only 10 minute walk to the cathedral, post office, and opera house. And four stars for facilities only because the small size of the hotel. Maybe alagon will use the Zen's concept for larger properites in future. Now that would be awesome!! Great place. You wont regret it!

Right in District 1. Walking distance to Ben Thanh Market. Food is everywhere. Hotel is clean and modern. Bed is comfortable. Staff is friendly and they have free Tea Time buffet. Nothing much selection but its free anyway. The rooftop got a small pool and at night is a club. Highly recommended if u looking for a hotel which is trendy and new.

This was my second time staying here for a District 1 getaway. It's a great hotel in District 1. It has modern amenities and nice rooms. It's very clean and the staff are super nice and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic. The rooftop pool and bar is a bit small, but it does the trick for a quick dip and a pool-side drink. There are lots of restaurants, massage, coffee shops, and other places of enjoyment in the area. I will definitely stay there again.

the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. one of the best hotels i've ever stayed in. rooms are fantastic and very well fitted out. all the little things are provided, hand towels, razer + shaving cream, cotton buds, etc.... doesnt sound like much but you'd be surprised how many 5 star hotels i've been to that are missing little things here and there. rooms are big and spacious. very clean and excellent value. our package also included access to the executive club on level 23 which provided snacks and unlimited drinks (alcohol included!) breakfast provided was a very big selection and was different every day. seemed to cater for the majority of people. very happy with meals. service is outstanding from moment we stepped out of taxi till the day we left. staff are very courteous and customer service is top notch. unfortunately for me i had my bag snatched on the streets but the hotel did everything they could to assist so i'm truly grateful for all their help! all in all i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in ho chi minh looking for a luxurious place to stay. we could have just just stayed at hotel and not stepped out. they provided everything! oh, and spa services are open till late and definitely one of the most relaxing massages i've ever had. one minor set back is although the hotel is in district 1 it is a couple of minutes away from all the main malls, cho ben thanh etc. for us it wasn't a big deal as they have taxis out front all the time. we never had to wait for a taxi and it only cost 50000dong (less than $2.50aud!) to get to the main part of district 1. ironically though after all those trips out by taxi my partner ended up buying the majority of her shoopping items from the mall next door. oh, and forgot to mention, if you haven't picked it up already theres a massive mall next door to the hotel which should provide all your basic essentials plus it has a few levels of excellent shopping + currency exchange + atm!

It has a great location in district 1 from which you can walk to numerous historic sites. But, the real surprise is the decor and the attention to detail that made the rooms and common spaces works of art. I chose a junior suite and with it came access to the 38th lounge. That was very special. The room, for being "only" a junior suite, was the most amazing hotel room I have ever stayed in. The size was generous.

Super trendy hotel in District 1. Rooms are so well designed and they have everything you could possibly want/need. Free minibar (not spirits/wine) is really nice touch. Loved the jacuzzi on the balcony. Great facilities, rooftop pool (get a bed early on a sunny day), good gym. Didn't eat there but food looked good, free afternoon tea, also a nice touch. Service super friendly and welcoming, speak extremely good English, always willing to help. Great location for exploring District 1. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and rooms are very clean. The breakfast is very, very good with lots of Western and Eastern options. The quality of the food is exceptional. The location is right in the center of District 1. The A/C works great. The staff speak English and are very nice. I make note of the following issue with Caravelle. 1. The water pressure and hot water availability was exceptional. However, in our room, the shower head was kind of cheap and didn't allow for a nice spray pattern. The shower head really only had a narrow stream. It would be nice if they upgraded their shower heads to a higher-quality that allowed a better spray pattern/more spray pattern options. After all, we are talking about a 5-star hotel here - right. 2. My wife and I attempted to enter the Gambling area on the second floor. It should be noted that this area is restricted to foreign passport holders only. While I was able to freely walk in (as I'm Caucasian and clearly not a local), my wife, who is of Vietnamese descent, but is a US citizen, was restricted from entry. While we advised the manger of the gambling facility (inside the Caravalle) that she was a US citizen, she was still not allowed to enter. I can understand their foreign policy for admittance (as gambling is not legal for local residents), this experience came across as discriminatory. We submitted a copy of our Passports to the Front Desk. The manager of Gambling facility could made an effort to contact the Front Desk to cross-check our background - but - was unwilling to do so. This reflects negatively on the Caravelle Hotel. I complained about this to Caravelle management. We received what we feel was an unsympathetic apology. Our stay here was brief. If I had more time I would have escalated or taken more action on this. 3. The staff were nice, friendly and spoke English well. However, I think they fall a little short of 5-star. 4. All this aside, I would definitely stay at the Caravelle again.

The Rex Hotel has a lot of old Indochina charm and I'm glad we tried it . We booked the Rex Suite, since we like a spacious room. In the photo it showed a king bed only, which is what we wanted. What we got was a king bed plus another bed alongside. That left little space on one side of the bed and only one night table for one person. There is a partition in the room so that there is a small sitting area when you walk in the door with some,pretty stiff looking furniture. The bathroom is older decor, a little tired, and the "blackout" curtains had gaps at the sides and allowed light throughout, more like greyout curtains. The wood floors look good but creak when you walk on them. The breakfast is definitely the best we've had in our many stays in Saigon and the pool and health club were lovely. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Ran out of time to try the spa, which had a good menu and not bad prices for a five star hotel. The location is good, especially if you like high end shopping. Overall it was pleasant; we will continue to stay at a more secluded hotel in District 1 when we return

Located in District 1, very strategically placed within walking distance to mostly everything; food choices aplenty, tour spots nearby (Saigon Opera House, Notre Dame Basilica, Paris Square, Independent Palace, Central Park, Bitexco Financial Tower) and great massage centers (Temple Leaf and Fuji), all accessible within 5-10mins walk. The hotel itself, great staff, ever smiling, pleasant, happy to help (helped recommend places to eat and shop as well as with a dinner and massage reservation). Room was great, also fulfilled my request for flowers and fruits in the room! Breakfast was ok, I'd recommend on serving Vietnamese coffee everytime. Overall, great hotel, will recommend it anytime and everytime. And I will definitely return to this hotel again in the future.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel in District 1. Got a fantastic deal. We had rooms on the 10th floor 1001 no noise issues but our friends had room 1008 and were below the restaurant so were woken early every day... The rooms were very clean and serviced each day. Breakfast was lovely and different each day. The cocktails on the rooftop bar were the best we had in Vietnam too!!! The staff were fantastic and very helpful with assisting us when we were booking flights and asking for recommendations for places to eat etc... Would definitely stay here again 😊

I loved the Lotte Legend. I had the unfortunate experience of becoming ill alone in Saigon. The staff helped me find medical care in the middle of the night and the next morning sent up some ginger tea. That alone would get them five stars, but it's also a beautiful hotel where everything is effortless for you as a guest. The spa service is wonderful and elegant. I don't usually use the spa at a hotel because I like to go out, but the two hour evening massage my first night there was what I needed for my jet lag. My only three star item---I thought because the hotel was in district 1 it would be more convenient to walk to dining and tourist sights but that wasn't really the case as far as I could see, but it turned out okay because some days I got tours that picked me up.

Great, friendly, helpful staff, and if you like to be in district 1 and just a little out of the way from the traffic and noise this is a good spot to stay. This 4 star hotel is in an ideal location close to many popular sights of Ho Chi Minh City. We stayed there for 3 days the Executive City View was good but small for what we expected, but then this might be normal for a district 1 hotel at this price point. The accommodation could do with a lamp stand next to the two seater suite in the room we had as there was none unlike in the pictures displayed. My brief overview as: 1. Customer service experience – good 2. Accommodation – clean, a little small for executive, lighting a bit dark in some areas as mentioned previously. 3. Bathroom – Modern and functional could do with an exhaust fan 4. Top floor bar/pool/restaurant – Good, restaurant meal price is a little dearer than expected e.g., burger for around $17AUD. 5. Breakfast – very good selection range to choose from keep up with the variety. I would come back again for a 4 Star hotel it is reasonably priced.

The room is big and clean. The beds are comfy enough and there's plenty of space in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice with a variety of dishes (both western and eastern). They have a fresh eggs station and you can soup noodles too which are made on the spot. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They speak plenty English. We had a little problem with payment but it was our fault because we thought we had already paid for something we hadn't. They did their best explaining what had happened. It's in district 1 of Saigon, though perhaps a bit far from the backpacker street. There are plenty of eats around nevertheless. We liked staying here.

We stayed for a long weekend in November. The weather was mixed so it was nice to stay in a hotel in district 1, and that had great facilities. The breakfast I would highly recommend - a huge variety of different foods, very fresh and well presented (and served on the rooftop with a great view!) Out room was very comfortable, a huge bed, great shower and lots of nice thoughtful additions. We didn't have a view out of the windows but it didn't really make much difference to us as there are plenty of places within the hotel to get great views. The spa is good too, we had a fantastic massage. The pool is very small but in a lovely courtyard and is very relaxing to sit and relax by and have a dip to cool off. Very glad we chose the Majestic as it has a bit of quirky old world charm. Its been refurbished so all mod cons but with a colonial feel. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay in Ho Chi Minh City. But get in there quick...they are planning to redevelop the whole exterior to a modern facade so it will sadly no longer look like it did in 1925.

this is a four star hotel in district 1, which is in walking distance to the sights and close to many good restaurants. the ben thanh market is right around the corner and the saigon skydeck is near enough to walk to at night for a view of the city from 49 floors up. two excellent restaurants close to the hotel were the barbecue garden (not your average barbecue - very asian) and nha hang ngon on pasteur. the included hotel breakfast was sufficient for us and convenient. the pool is a little small but fine for a dip in the afternoon and perfect for a relaxing drink at poolside. we took the hcmc one day tour, booked through the concierge. the tour company was buffalo tours and our guide, steven, was outstanding with good english skills and knowledgeable about the history and sites - ask for him. if in hcmc again, we would stay at the liberty central again.

This is a hotel, in District 1, where its in the heart of all major attractions such as shopping malls, night markets, street shops, food, spa etc. This is a great place to stay if you do not need things like a gym and a pool. Staff are very friendly. As a solo traveller, the staff made every difference in making me feel safe and comfortable. Even the security guard, recognizes me and that makes me feel safe. Airport is about 20-30 mins away (7km) depending on traffic. Lots of spa & nail parlous around. Great hotel!!

This hotel has two parts....old and new. We stayed in the old and it was delightful. By booking through Agoda, our rate was excellent for the duration we stayed. Located in district 1, a stones throw from the Saigon river and in the business centre of Ho Chi Minh city, when you walk out the hotel door the vibrant activity of the Vietnamese hits you full on. The rooms are well appointed with a very firm mattress on the bed and plenty of space in the room. The cleaning service is up to scratch as one would expect. The staff were all delightful and very helpful attending to all our enquirers and needs. A special mention to 'Trainee 20' in the restaurant....his attention and friendliness was excellent! Facilities....swimming pool, gym and casino style club are available. The rooftop bar is a must attend and the various restaurants are excellent.

I will recommend travellers to pay a bit more to upgrade to their executive room with the usage of their lounge A privilege environment where you can have your breakfast from 6am to 10pm, high tea break from 3pm to 530pm and dinner serve with bar drinks from 630pm to 830pm without extra if you are their executive rooms guests We also love going up to their sky pool with the sky bar just beside and during the late evening, you can enjoy live band music while dipping in the pool and admiring the beautiful night views of buildings in district 1 of Ho Chin Minh city The only feedback for the hotel to improve more are their front line services, I notice their front desk staffs always dun show much patient with guests enquiries, maybe because their English explaination are not very good and when we repeated the questions, they will start to show their impatient I think their front desk staffs need to work hard in their service attitudes I must praise their floor manager fast and immediate action to guest complain made by us 1 night regarding his staffs mishandling of our request made to hotel during booking and bad attitudes to us, I think if his staffs can upgrade their services like him, it will be a perfect vacation stays for us at their hotel Overall I will still recommend this hotel to all travellers looking for a good location and cozy place to stay, this hotel has so many shopping malls and night markets around easy reach either by foot or few minutes taxi rides We will come back to this hotel again despite the unhappy incident happening there during this trip

Quality is over the price, the room has no window but it doesn't matter coz we only sleep and go out, also we can hear the voice from next door bathroom, but it does not annoy too much. These can be covered by the good food in the morning and small & warmest of the hotel. To stay in District 1 is the most convenient if you want to explore the city & the food. No need to go far to other district for the food. Take chance for body massage outside the hotel that will be better, suggested for 118 Massage for about 250kVND you will get hot stone which can relax your back & shoulder a lot. To catch taxi to airport on return date, you need to pay extra 10kVND for airport out fee, don't worry. To exchange money, the hotel & airport quite same, but in the market is more value. I saw some foreigner exchange at post office, I think rate is too expensive.

Duc Voung hotel with its central location in District 1 is ideal for artwork/painting enthusiast as it has a number of neighboring small galleries. There are also a good number of choices of dining outlets, bars, art and crafts shops just few steps away from the hotel. Even for first timer vacationer in that part of Ho Chi Minh city's District 1, small malls like the Zen Plaza along Nguyen Trai, a local market, groceries are so conveniently accessible. Best of all, the hotel staff are so attentive and friendly. Its budget rate is best enjoyed by booking through agoda. Will love to come back and I highly recommend the hotel to other vacationers in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.

You can't beat the location, and you can walk to most things in District 1. This is a true four star hotel (not all hotels which advertise themselves are such compared to international standards). Make sure you book a city view room. If you do then will get get a fantastic panorama of the city skyline, which is magical both day and night. Another must is the roof top terrace on the 14th floor, (the pool is also up here), where you can drink in the views, day or night. The beds are really comfortable and the room I stayed in , had a lovely new bathroom. Breakfasts were great, too. I have been to HCMC many times and have stayed in many Hotels, there. Bt when it comes to the combination of factors such as budget, quality of rooms (mine was a large city view on a higher floor), ease of walking access to most of the local sights and value for money, then you can't beat here.

We stayed here with our 6 month old baby and so the kitchen was very useful for us to make him food and sterilise his bottles. Also, there is a full-sized fridge and freezer which is helpful as mini bar fridges are rarely cold enough. A cot was also available for him (though a little on the shabby side). Staff were nice and the location is great and convenient to walk to many places in District 1. We would stay here again if we need an apartment-type accommodations in the city.

Absolutely loved this hotel and the staff very friendly although one of the bell boys was a bit over enthusiastic when we arrived and bounced our bags up the stairs. This hotel in District 1 which is in walking distance to lots of different places of interest such as Ben Thanh market, War museum, Puppet show. Book all your tours at the hotel as the prices and service are excellent. Breakfast was good but if wanting a western style meal don't eat at hotel restaurant. Great restaurants in Pasteur street.

The manager at the time, was very understanding and showed us many rooms before we decided which was the best for us.We chose the palace suite (the best room in the hotel) and were only asked to pay an upgrade fee of The room was great with a separate living room, king bedroom with balcony overlooking the city and river, and huge bathroom with spa bath, large shower and double sinks.There was also a closet and safe making the room very homely.The bathroom was nicely finished with mosaic tiles.The toilet was a little hard to flush at times, but a very minor problem not even worth mentioning.The room was furnisehd with 2 a/c units,2 tvs, a lounge, desk and separate bedrrom.This was great for us, as my husband got to retreat behind closed doors when he needed to work on the laptop, and I could watch tv in bed. There was a balcony off the bedroom, from which you could see the main street and towards the river.Most of the noise was kept out at night though, allowing for a good rest with the blackout blinds.The hotel was extremely central in district 1.We could walk to sights, the river, and many restaurants and shopping areas.The only time we caught taxis, was to the airport, The free wifi was also a bonus, and free buffet breakfast was decent enough. the nice staff behind the counter negotiated with us, and gave us an extra 3 nights close to the rate we paid online, so we were very happy.Overall the staff were nice and tried to help where possible. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.It is one of the most central hotels in the district and comes with a good price tag attache

A little bit outside the main tourist drag but still in district 1. For those looking for a more interesting boutique hotel experience. Breakfast croissant is very good! Standard rooms are already spacious and beautifully designed. Highly recommend. Free massage is a hit and miss.

We had a group of 8 people that stayed in the apartment and it is extremely cheap and great value for money staying together. It is located in district 1 which is centrally located to all great food and attractions. Taxi rides will range from 20,000VND to 100,00VND. Hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport costing around 150,00VND (tell the driver to turn on the meter). Small selection at the buffet breakfast but its still good considering it is free of charge with the room, reception also has a tour guide (buffalo tours) which was very helpful to book flights and tours. Staff are very helpful, friendly and are not bothered when we returned to our room in the early hours of the morning. One of the best stays i have had in ho chi minh considering i have been there 5 times.

Great Location, neer the market & centre of city. The breakfast was great with lots of different choices in food. Room is clean and comfort. Trust me this is a must stay hotel. They aim to strive for the best customer service in district 1. Every members in the hotel play their part in providing the best services and attitude. I have been travelling to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, for many times. I have stayed in District 1 hotels like "Dragon Palace 1 Hotel", "Dragon Palace 2 Hotel", "Asian Ruby 1 Hotel". I wish to provide feedbacks to every Agoda Hotel seekers who are looking at District 1 hotels. I have always thought most budget District 1 hotels are around the same. Until I decided to try out this T.Espoir Hotel. I can say, those hotels I stayed before, has no fight with T.Espoir Hotel. Here's why..... T.Espoir Hotel is also known as Cititel Hotel. In most previous reviews by other hotel stayers, yes, they went through a renovation. I am pleased to say that the noise are no longer exists as the renovation has been completed. Right now, the contractors are doing touch-ups and cleaning of each room. Genuine Feedbacks below: Breakfast: the bed is so comfortable with cold aircon that I didn't even want to get out of bed to have breakfast. Location: It is so near to Nguyen Du Galaxy Cinema, with lots of food stalls along the street, many drinking clubs... best part is... it': walking distance to Ben Thanh Market. Facilities: If this hotel comes with a swimming pool or Gym Room, it will be perfect. Big lobby area. One lift with cctv in it, good security. Every floor has cctv along the walkway. Staff: Friendly staff. From Door boy, reception all the way to house keeping. They try to accomodate your request, all you need is "ask". They allow me to check out at 2pm because I check in late. Wifi: Strong. Never disconnect before. TV: have most channels except live soccer matches. Aircon: Famous brand by Daikin. Room: Very clean. Spacious. Nice concept. Newly renovated. New stuff in room. Sound Proof: Not sound proof. Basically, you can hear your neighbours making love or talking. Housekeeping: Pretty friendly lady who never fails to clean up room every morning. Check-In: No deposit required. Passport: Staff will photocopy your passport and return you the physical passport. Do not bring you

unfortuanly due to a flight delay i only spent 9 hours at this hotel, however that was enough to be able to say that it is a great hotel for the cost. security at the front door are extremly polite and helpfull as so are the reception staff. location is perfect as you can walk everywhere in district 1 or a taxi which the security will get you in an instance is very cheap.(anywhere in district 1 for less than dong,,,,) i will not be considering any over hotel in ho chi minh city when i return in december.

Fantastic Stay right at the heart of a fantastic busy restaurant and drinking area in district 1.Hotel and its staff are amazing helpful and friendly. Hotel Room was lovely and big with tv with two fab movie channel's. Fridge and coffee facilities. Safe in room and air con. The bathroom had large bath and walk in shower and toiletries provided. We stayed in second building slept very well in the comfortable bed and great pillows. The building had secure door and lift and we felt very safe. The hotel is right at the begining of the fantastic walking street full of street food and restaurants and bars the music is loud we are in our 40s and had a fantastic time and the noise at night did not affect our sleep we loved our stay. Great team at breakfast and lots of different choices to suit everyone. The hotel staff organised our airport transfers at a very good price.We will definitely be back loved our 7 nights at CCentral⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍👍👍👍
