1st time in Hue”
Away from busy streets of Hue, but very easy taxi ride to Citadel & Dong Ba Market. Good restaurant just a few doors away. We are used to budget hotels in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Hoi An. So far the hotels we booked have all turned out very satisfactory, even though its first time like DMZ. We are Singaporeans.

Very Impressive”
We were very impressed with DMZ hotel. The staff were very helpful, even calling our taxi driver once we had left for the airport to say we had left our camera behind. The rooms are very tastefully done and are very clean, the only suggestion I would have for DMZ is to invest in some new pillows - the current ones are super high and very hard. Otherwise we couldn't fault it.

Right place to be in Hue”
location, location, location - this is dmz hotel major plus point. situated smack in the middle of everything that a tourist need. it is a stone throw away from a variety of good food, tour and transport agencies, and even a pharmacy. room is reasonably clean, thought abit compact and stuffy. my room had a window facing a corridor. the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, but abit helpless on travel tips. dmz hotel is a good place for backpackers with extra cash for a hot shower, soft bed and tv.

The best Manager ever!”
nice stay at DMZ with my family. Staff is very helpful and manager Mr Kham is always there to satisfied your desire. My Grandma broke her leg during our stay and the staff did manage the situation very professionally! Will definitely return to DMZ as staff make you feel like home. Thanks again!

Fantastic helpfull staff”
The staff was really unique in helping with a tour in a national park and booking airplane tickects with short notice. Improvement suggestion could be making the breakfast better. The price is really low and I can really recomment this hotel if you want to save money on your stay in Hue.

Friendly helpful staff”
We had a very pleasant stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. They booked our tours around Hue for us. We did arrive earlier than the normal check in time. We were offered a welcome cup of tea on arrival. We were able to order breakfast which was served fairly quickly. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Good value. And near the restaurants and nightlife”
Kitchy name. But well furnished rooms and a good breakfast. Front desk staff Ms Loan and Ms Fung were very friendly and very helpful. As a hotel guest, you get 10% off at their bar on the next street also named DMZ and an italian restaurant nearby. Just did not like Room 106's location next to the hotel admin office and the seemngly old concave mattress in the room.

Enjoyable, relaxing”
We enjoyed our stay at DMZ. The hotel was comfortable, clean and in an excellent position to walk to river, citadel, restaurants etc. the staff were helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English, they advised us the best way to view the sites we wished to see and arranged taxis for us both to the sites and to the train station. We thought this hotel offers excellent value for money.

Amazing staff and great value”
The staff and value of the room were what made our stay. All of the desk staff were incredably helpfull and spoke great English. We booked two tours through the front desk, one was a city tour which was great. The other, a cave tour, was not anything like what we were told and we were very disapointed, the manager of the hotel handled this really well calling the tour company for us and getting us a partial refund. The rooms were great with big soft beds, modern washrooms with hot powerfull showers. Internet was one of the fastest we had in all of Vietnam.

- Great location - Excellent staff, very helpful. - Two star hotel so breakfast has minimum choices: Bun bo Hue and two egg omelet with bread. - Toilet is a bit worn out. - Awful AC: my room was rather small but it took ages to make it cool but at night it became freezing even though it was set to 30 degree Celsius. Hope they could repair it soon. Overall, definitely worth the money.

Very Noisy”
The hotel itself is good value for money. However, it is very noisy all through the night, and every morning from 5 a.m. onwards, there are people slamming doors, shouting, smoking etc - it is virtually impossible to sleep. It doesn't help that the corridors are marble (or something similar) which means noise echoes round. Also, annoyingly, the hotel tries to charge per item for laundry, when everyone knows in VietNam it is measured by the kilo for about quarter of the price. Staff were lovely though - very helpful and friendly.

Good price/quality to visit Hue”
Hotel was good for the price. Breakfast was OK. Situation was good to visit the city. The first say we arrived the room was not very clean (many hair in the floor), at least they cleaned it next day. The room smell humidity. Ok for 1or2 nights.

i think the hotel should be 2.5 star, it provides good conditions compared to other same star hotel like Waterland and Charming. The only prob is some noise through the walls. 9/10 points

rip-off price, friendly but unhelpful ”
given it's location, which is not in old city part, the price is quite a rip-off, comparing the price you pay for the ones in old city, though it won't take long to walk to old city given the size of hoi an is tiny. the room has terrible smell in bathroom, the bed is so dampen that I feel like i'm a human iron for the bed. the front desk girls are friendly but not really helpful. of course, there's something that beyond their ability, like the bus they booked for me supppose to come at 1pm but didn't really come until 2pm. I asked for a front seat numerous times and confirmed several times with front girl who booked for me, and asked to be drop when the bus pass my hotel in Hue, however, nothing happened as promised. when the bus came, I asked the front girl talk to driver and guide, who didn't come out at all.

Hotels breakfast is short menu. You can pick one item only, same as the drink. There is a restaurant called Zucca a few buildings down on the same side of the street toward the river. Must try!
