Well I have to say this place was incredible. It was very quiet at the time, with only two rooms occupied, so it lent an air of privacy and intimacy which was perfect for the occasion. The resort is just over a year old so I believe the extensively landscaped gardens will only get better. There is a water feature/pool running right through the grounds so just about any of the rooms overlook and have easy access to a part of the pools. The room was very, very comfortable, beautifully cleaned and very hard to leave after two nights here. The restaurant serves very delicious food and an extensive range of beverages. It's not cheap, but for a special occasion it was perfect. I completed the feedback form at the end of the stay and was asked if any staff member had made my stay great in some way. I honestly couldn't single one out, they were all at least very good and a number of them were excellent. The location, well, it's out of the way. Sometimes though that's a big plus. The resort operates a shuttle bus in and out of Chiang Mai but you'd probably be happiest if you just stayed put, or had independent transport. It's not that easy to find, but GPS will get you straight there. While you stay visit the Mae On Cave, probably on a par with the much better known Chiang Dao Caves but without the crowd. The pricing here at the time of my stay was competitive with other resorts in the area, not cheap, but after my stay I really believe it was good value. I will probably even return one day, on another special occasion, and because I'd love to see how the garden grows. In summary, a special place, with special staff and special food=special memories. Planning a honeymoon. This could well be your place.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found the right place. After a long scooter ride from Chaing Mai city to Saket village, we were greeted by a very pleasant staff and adorable kittens that joined us for wine on our deck. These treehouse are all custom designed and very unique! You don't want to stay in just one! The resort area is beautiful and surrounded by luscious trees and a little stream running by the treehouses. The food offered is pretty good, and I even cooked in the kitchen with Mr. Lee! This is the perfect place to escape from the city and tourist areas, and really relax. My only warning, is the roosters! They are so beautiful and very loud. Recommend ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise at night. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to visit while in Thailand!!

The staff n therapist are wonderful and the hospitality is at the best. The rooms and therapy pricing is on a slight higher side and an very looked at. Else it carries a great energy.

It's a lovely cottage built in the jungle and expect the weather to be slightly chilly. The location is hard to find on Google Maps but look out for Teddu Coffee (that's where the cottage is). They have a beautiful cafe set up by the mini-waterfall and it was really calming to take a nap with their cats, listen to the water crash on the rocks and sip a coffee. Do be prepared to climb a couple of flight of stairs though.

A stay at Vivo Bene is a wonderful way to relax. The beautifully clean, excellent villas and facilities are set in a wonderfully peaceful environment where the staff go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. They speak excellent English and are approachable and friendly. The Village is in Doi Suket about 30 minutes from Chiang Mai City so a walk to the sights of Chiang Mai is not possible. However that said, a free shuttle bus is provided and excellent signage makes the resort easy to find if travelling by car. If you are looking for a place to stay for a night or two to simply relax and make use of the on site facilities this is an excellent option. There is a great restaurant on site and the freshly cooked eggs at breakfast were delicious. All the expected facilities you would expect of a resort are provided at a high standard. For example - free wi fi, numerous cable tv channels, swimming pool, and massage and spa on site. I would certainly stay there again.

if you are looking for a quiet rural getaway in a lovely little hotel that is very good value then the monn phu phrai is great choice. the pool area, while not huge is excellent and the gardens lovely. the hosts and staff are helpful and extremely approachable which all adds to the charm of the hotel. there are bikes available (at a very cheap rate) to explore the countryside and visit the local hot springs which includes a good locally run "massage club". if you are expecting a lot to do this hotel may not be for you as, unless you have a hire car, the location is quite remote, but if you fancy a break from the faster pace of chiang mai then this could be ideal.

Near Mae Kampong (Driving 5 mins) with full service facility (Bathtub, Air-Con, ETC), Great room layout which is including build in Glass house. So cill and Comfy. Stuff are nice, Highly recommended.

Our 3 day stay at Mala Dhara was fantastic! We had the "Hobbit" room which was large and comfortable, and quite unique. (including the wooden tub!) We enjoyed the relaxed, country atmosphere and laid-back vibe of the place. The pool was so nice during the day. One evening we had a yoga class, steam sauna with body scrub (followed by a plunge in the pool!), then some time around the bonfire before dinner. We were so relaxed we slept almost 10 hours that night! The vegan food was EXCELLENT at every meal!! The menu was more than adequate with nightly "specials" that were all delicious. Breakfast was included, and the meal prices for dinner were very reasonable. The owner and the staff are all beautiful, caring and kind people that will do anything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The resort arranged for a taxi to return us to Chiang Mai, also. I would highly recommend this resort to my friends and family, and we are likely to return there many times in the future!

This property seems a little far from city center, but it was amazing! The best food we had in all of Chiang Mai was right here at Baan Chai. The staff was absolutely amazing and breakfast was perfect everyday. The resort had mopeds for each room so you can jump on one of those and jet into town with no problems. The pool is perfect, we had a hard time leaving the resort to do some of the activities we had planned. After staying here I will never stay anywhere else in Chiang Mai.

We loved this place & would definitely go back. Fabulous décor, individually themed rooms & outstanding staff. Very clean. Nice to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Check out the temple at Doi Saket. You do need a car.

Unfortunately only spent the night here, but will make an effort to return. Location is perfect in Doi Saket only 20 mins out of town. Sits right opposite a rice farm/mountains so the views are amazing and its so quiet. Lovely room (Sala Room), lovely pool and we were well looked after by the owners Leigh and Ahn and their pets :) Highly recommended!

we visited jasmine hills with our 5 and 7 year old children, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. our bungalow was beautifully decorated and very good sized, the free breakfast was delicious, the owner and staff very accomodating, and the location (in the hills outside chiang mai) was simply breathtaking. the kids enjoyed going out in the rowboat (which the staff scrubbed clean without our even asking), and my husband and i enjoyed getting a bit of peace and quiet while the kids roamed around exploring. we found plenty to do in the surrounding area (the temple at doi saket, wandering the market, nearby taweechol garden), but, that said, we did have a car, and since we live in chiang mai, we were looking to get out of the city anyway. i think the hotel is best for those who aren't looking to spend a lot of time in the city, but rather would like a beautiful, peaceful place to relax in (or a base from which to trek in the mountains). we will definitely be going back!

A little far from the centre of Doi Saket but we had a car and they offered us free use of a scooter for short shopping trips. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. The onsite coffee shop/ restaurant serves a range of good size western salads, pasta, pizza-breads and thai food all at reasonable prices compared with other western restaurants in this area. About 600 thb end of October for the small bungalows.

Michael is a wonderful host and his home-stay was a superb experience. The detail and imagination that has gone into constructing this haven really blew my mind away. Everything you cast your eye on is of the highest quality, from the TV in the room to the mineral swimming pool with the most amazing view. If you are looking for peace and quiet with a touch of luxury, there this is the place for you.

Fai & Opal were very good hosts, answering all our questions and making sure that we were comfortable during our stay at their hotel.They communicated very well in English and had lots of suggestions on what to do & where to go in the Doi Saket area. The rice fields & mountain view from our room was very relaxing and I slept well.

My wife, my kid and I had a memorable 5 nights staying at this countryside property located in Doi Saket district of Chiang Mai. In there, you enjoy all the moment that gives you the feeling of clam and peaceful. If you live in the city for long what not taking a short visit to this country resort. Especially if you are currently in work, your work makes you plan, plan and being planed every day. But when it comes to holidays, staying at such a beautiful resort you will just be relaxed, do nothing and plan as little possible and not to worry a things. There some distance between down town and the resort and so as from the international airport, about 45 drive, more or less. It is not far though when it is talking about countryside. I like to personally thank to James and his wife for their hospitality and also to the staffing who served us breakfast every morning at the Tara, made tidy to our room, setting up the facilities every time we walked inside the pool area. All of them are good peoples, friendly and being very helpful. I wish them best of luck, healthy and happiness as always,

Nok Resort Hotel is a small resort in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The resort is well maintained, has very nice staff and is the perfect place to relax. Highly recommended for people who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the rural life style. As the resort is a bit out of the way, suggest you come with your own transport. The resort is relatively close to many places of interest like Doi Saket, the Bo Sangh umbrella factory and the Maiiam Museum. The staff was very friendly with our children and we enjoyed breakfast overlooking the rice fields.

The hotel is located in the old teak home. The owner are both gracious and frienly. Breakfast is plentiful and we have a great time staying there. A small drawback is the lack on the bathroom in the room but this is not a major problem.

What an amazing homestay. It was like being at your home in Chiang Mai. Wake up to coffee on your balcony with the view of a lovely garden or pond. Eat a home cooked breakfast with fresh baked breads and all organic foods. Rent the bikes for hours touring village patways leading to exotic locations, or rent the scooters to go into the city for some fun. The city is not all that far away by tsongtaow either. However, we found ourselves again and again wanting to get back, sit on the porch with Lha and her husband talking and enjoying wonderful natural foods so delicious it has made all restaurant foods taste bland and boring. Lha and Max are excellent hosts meeting every desire in a friendly and kind manner unequalled by any other home stay we have experienced. We had a last minute change in rooms (to have our girls next door to our room) and even though the room was more expensive they gave us a discounted rate! We asked if the pond had fish, the next day we were eating fresh caught talapia, some of the best fish I have eaten. This is just the getaway family place that brought our family a little closer together by meeting and getting to know our wonderful hosts. Thank you, Lha, Max and Superstar neighbor for giving us a bright memory! We hope to return for a longer stay next year!!

First, Gabriel and Saithong were amazing. So helpful and proactive from the moment they picked us up..We were worried initially about being isolated out far from chiang mai and fun activities but it was not an issue at all as we expected. They took care of arranging several tours for us on short notice and Gabriel drove us out there. It is a small family run resort and they do treat you like family, you can tell they enjoy caring for their guests. At one point, we needed to go to a pharmacy and without hesitatio they volunteered to take us to the closest one but it was closed so they then took us to the next town over to make sure we were taken care of. The highlight for us was motorbiking through the countryside and seeing the rice fields and all the agriculture taking place. So beautiful and such a fun experience of having the freedom to go anywhere and just explore on your own. Also, they had a Thai masseuse come and give us massages in our room. As far as luxury goes, the room we had (serenity villa) is closer to 4 star than 3 star. Incredibly spacious, fresh flowers from the garden in the room, outdoor jacuzzi and a huge deck... amazing value. Breakfast is served by the pool every morning. Was delicious buy not much variety after several days. Fantastic stay overall. Others have covered language barrier (Gabriel's English was enough for 90% of situations really but downloading Google Translate French and Thai languages is a good idea anyway). Recommend to have them pick you up rather than trying to take a taxi from Chiang Mai. Enjoy getting away from the bustle and relaxing!

Do you want to get away from the hustle & bustle, get back to nature and hear the birds chirping ... then this is the place for you to stay. We just loved this hotel with it's natural setting and the friendliness of the staff plus we were fortunate to have the owner in when we stayed. Nan, the owner, is such an interesting person; worldly experienced and knows what travelers want when they are fed up with the pace of the city. Nothing was too much trouble for her and the staff. We just loved hearing the running brook outside out room when we went to sleep.

The hotel is old but the setting at the golf course is serene. It rates about 3 star which is fine for purpose. The staff were very helpful.

Realy villa Albizia is fantastic.The charming Jim and Jacques have a great hospitality,and nothing is to much. The surrounding is outside Chiangmai ,a lot of green and very quiet.when you drive moterbike you can go around by yourself,and at the end of the day sitting to a beautiful swimmigpool and relex. We loved it! Our stay was the first week of 2019

it's in Maekampong. Very famous attraction place in Chiangmai. this house is so big. The bedroom is very comfortable. The has kitchen so we can make dinner for our family (but no oil, soy source, sugar, u need to bring it)

Lovely huts clustered around a pond full of fish, it's a lovely, quiet place with helpful friendly staff and great owner. I would definitey stay here again. Lovely village too, lots of great eating places close by to suit most tastes and budgets.

best to call to reserve rooms and also the sign on the road is very difficult to see, the owner is a good guy and good food and a happy place

Magnificent location close a mountain stream. Very quiet. You need your own wheels and the first shop is about 14 km away in Mae Kampong. Please note: the accommodation is about 300 m more to the west than the Agoda directions indicate.
