Staff very good! It is not a problem that the hotel is old. But the hotel itself is not clean. There is no light in the corridor, the room has no windows, it is dim, the toilet is dirty, the air conditioner does not work, the hot water is hard to come out, the bed is a bug, I will never stay again.

Good value for a hotel in Hai Phong ”
We stayed in Dong Duong Hotel for one night and we really liked it there. It isn't the fanciest Hotel in town, but for that money you will not find anything else with a flatscreen-TV and A/C. The staff, as so often in Vietnam, can hardly speak or understand english, but with signlanguage everything is possible. We would stay there again next time.

I stayed here for one night because I had an early morning flight out of Haiphong. This placed served that purpose fine. The staff helped booked a taxi me. Pretty decent room for the price.

Good enough for short stays”
Nice hotel. Nearby the center of city so we could reach the center by walk. A traditional market is only 450 meters away. And it takes only 1.7 kilometers from the hotel to get to Ben Binh harbor and catch a speed boat over to Cat Ba. Rooms are big and clean enough. Staffs are quite helpful.

Central location”
This time I had room 605 which window is facing west and oversees the huge sports arena. It's very noisy in the atmost early morning from sportsmen, football players and tennis players on the cort. The mattress need be replaced new so does the bathroom door. Stuff English is on level is a 3 out of 10. The hotel is decent with elevator, easy to reach and without any kind of tourist spams which I enjoy always here when I am in town.

It was the most expensive room we paid in Asia but not the best... It's ok but at the end they try to charged us the bottle of water they gave us, and they have never explained that was to pay, not even a sign in the room with price... And the fridge never worked and the toilet room never closed properly. But the staff are very friendly

Large clean room, big comfortable bed with clean bedding, hot water, elevator. Fridge and Tv. Actually nothing to complain about this hotel, will come back again next time.

Central location for one night, best price”
We stayed one night and chose this hotel as it was the cheapest one. It's in walking distance to the center and we even walked to the ferry station to Cat Ba island (30 minutes). Room could be cleaner but it's okay for one night. Wifi worked very well. Warm water available. Staff spoke a bit English. Worth the money.

This place is alright”
We only stayed here one night. The receptionist and guard are very friendly people. It is right that the hotel has a cleaning problem. Walls in the bathroom were extremely dirty. Loads of space in the bathroom though. Mattresses weren't great.

Great location, affordable. But the equipments are old. Room is note private (I feel it) and not clean at all. Do note have breakfast and decoration is not good (may be effective of traditional in the north of VietNam). If u are foreigner, I recommend u to use international hotel.
