Beachfront of the hotel is one of the most important and valuable for our stay. From hotel we can walk around to the yacht club or to the other places nearby easily. Walking on the beach after dinner is recommended.

Good location with front beach and nice pool. Recommend if you are looking for a private and peaceful stay. Bad thing place is about their cleanliness, the room is dusty and smell a little bad, the place is also very old but i still love the view and their location. Would be good to request for extra cleanup before arrive. Breakfast is not much but deliscious.

Weekend at DOR Shada”
Our stay was fine. Breakfast was great, pool is incredible, and beach side is wonderful. Only issue I had was the limit of staff members. Due to this, no one sent us to our room and nobody was there to help us with the gym.

Aging hotel, poorly managed ”
This isn't a resort, it is a very very old and poorly maintained hotel with no focus on the customer. No safety devices/life saving rings or anything for children to play with in the pool area. An actual 'resort' would have these. Dishes and bottles uncollected from the pool area for days left by staff. No option for non-fat milk or yoghurt available for breakfast for westerners, no Equal either. The waitress said they had repeatedly asked the front desk to order but they did not. I said that the next day they should have it for me and they said they would. I confirmed this with the front desk mgt. The next day -- no no fat milk. I was told, "wait 5 minutes". 20 minutes later I walked out to the front desk and was told again, "wait 5 minutes" No apology, nothing. Finally 1 single milk and 2 Equal "just for you," I was told. This was during the Somkrahn holiday -- but no special signage, no special welcome -- no welcome drink or anything; just come. We were looking for lunch only to find out we would have to eat at Ravindra resort next door (expensive/bland food). There was no maid service until I went down to the desk asking why not. The towels are flimsy and old. Lots of dust in the room piled up. I was able to get some mosquito repellent from the desk, that was a positive. At check out no mention of any problems during the stay, just go. I would never recommend this place and it is not a resort of any kind; just a faded and fading relic. Avoid at all costs.

old hotel in great location poor mgt”
This once proud hotel is in a great locstion however it is tired and no communication between staff and mgt. Not recommended for foreigners...No yoghurt or nofat milk,equal offered, but was told tomorrow will get for you. Asked again the next day...wait 5 minutes was the response, 25 minutes later nothing...yelled at front desk another 10 minutes milk and 2 (just for you!) equal. No maid service. No one cleared empty soda bottles from pool area. No lifesaving ring or any floatation devices around the pool. All the outside deck areas can see each other no screens. Tiny million year old TV, no CNN or movie channels. Dust all over and staff surprised by any request. Management owners take your money then their job is over. Great beach location, shame they never invested a dime or thought about customer. Avoid.

Was probably good a long time ago ”
Dated Thai style hotel. It seemed as if they were running on minimum staff. Location is a fair bit out of the main tourist area, would definitely need some form of transport to get anywhere. It may have been 5 star a long time ago, but I don’t see how they are able to maintain the same reputation. Would not stay here again. Possibly the rooms by the pool would be a better bet, but I still feel it is past it’s time.

Good Place during TH long holiday”
We select Dor Shada for this long holiday trip because of lower area from Pattaya city. We know that it would be very crowded for this period (1-5 May). In Ban Amphur area there are many seafood restaurants and also Interesting Place like Talard Nam 4 Park, MiMoZa and Suan Nong Nuch which are close to Dor Shada. We can say that facility in Dor Shada is impressive. Room is very nice, bigger size than expected. Pool and beach are clean and ready for guest every morning. We also play around all Par-3 6 golf holes course and the gardener tries to re-plant the glass. However at Sunday 8-9AM, American Breakfast is pack by guest prior to check out. The TV at bar, hotel living room, alike, it is fantastic; we watch the boxing match, Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao, with other guests but the result is not our point. In the evening we are lucky that the hotel has set the Bar B Q at beach front during the long weekend. The sunset scenery is very nice and feels private from the city. Finally this is the first time we visit Dor Shada and this would not be the last. We recommend if you want a place which separate from the city.

We stayed at the Dor-shada for the 3rd time this time celebrating our engagement / wedding reception ceremony. We stayed at Dor-Shada resort to host our beach/BBQ wedding reception and dinner out on the lawn with the help of your sales professional - Laddawan. Our wedding reception on the pool side lawn area was fantastic with the setup of the cocktails and appetizers placed on the tables on the lawn. The wedding ceremony on the beach was absolutely breath-taking as the sun began to set. Finally the dinner BBQ buffet was wonderful under the evening sunset sky with the lanterns and beautiful party decoration made my fiancee and I the happiest couple in Thailand. Want to Thank Laddawan and all your staff from the chef to the customer relations manager who all worked tirelessly to make our special wedding party celebration a night we will never forget. Thank you very much.

Pleasant Getaway”
The swimming pool, spa and beach area are great for this part of Thailand. Dor Shada keeps their area very clean. The staff are all very nice. The morning breakfast was very good. The afternoon tea was a nice touch for relaxing. The room was very clean and the housekeeping department very efficient; however, the down side for me is I did not realize the facility was so large. I do prefer smaller places and that would be the only drawback to returning there. Very well organized and everything was in place for us. Thank you for your hospitality and we do hope many will reserve with you and find out for themselves too.
