Drop in is old and in need of a serious make over. The rooms are very dated! Lot of things are broke and the swimming pool is pretty murky.The so called gym is a bunch of rusty old equipment from the 70s However, if you're there for the full moon party period these rooms are liveable, the beds aren't to bad and the air con worked well in our room. Haad rin beach is only a 5 minute walk as well. So if you're struggling to find a place to stay when partying despite the terrible reviews this place is liveable!

The place was dead even for full moon, the staff were very nice with a young family. It was scary for us young girls to go back to our room at night with barely anyone there in a big resort. There was no safe in the room. However the location was amazing, so close to Haad Rin beach for full moon and shops and restaurants.

Get what you pay for”
I got the backpacker choice room. It was better than I expected it to be. Everything worked in the room, except for TV and bed. TV has no active channels. Bed was hard and can feel the hard springs. The room itself is clean with your own porch/balcony. Toilet worked. Amenities are basic. I am happy with what I paid for, especially during the full moon period. Will return.

Would Not recommend”
I booked Drop in Club months in advance of the Full Moon Party and was very excited because they pictures made it look very upbeat and fun and a decent hotel for the price. When I got there my experience was exactly the opposite. It looked abandoned. I came a little after noon which is before check-in time but I couldn't find a single person, let alone a worker, for 20 minutes. I walked around the maze of a hotel trying to find someone and saw that the bars were all empty and closed, the pool was filled but the hot tub was empty, the exterior was sort of falling apart. I honestly thought it was abandoned until I finally found someone at the reception. When I tried to check in there was a key deposit for 500baht but he could not give me change for my 1000 baht. I ended up finding a hostel and checking out the same day. I believe years ago this truly was a great hotel but I think they've come on hard times recently and have sort of let the place go. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone with so many other options on the island.

we spent there two days, first of all the persons whi works there are really strange they always look like you are bothering them and not so friendly btw they are not bad, the rooms are ok we got one bear the pool and i advise to don t take it because of the noise of the commercial music they put, I didn t tasted the food so i can t talk about it. The room was clean enough but far from "clean" i got two cigarette near my bed that the previous guest seem to have mistaken for an hashtray, the bed was with fluo paint on it, apart for this and the many broken lights the room was ok. Btw for this price the place is ok just don t think you can sleep in the afternoon or until late because the pool music will wake you

Dear ladies and gentlemen, We’ve booked a couple of rooms through your booking Plattform and we are pretty satisfied about your service. But the last hotel of our booking was absolut not reasonable!!! I talk about the drop resort and spa in Koh Phangan. The hotel was dirty, the pool was not useable and the railing of the stairway and floors was life threatening. The A/C was not working and the toilet in the room was absolutely dirty!!!! It is absolutely clear that a comparison between German and Thai hotel standards are not possible but these hotel is really not reasonable for your clients. I can’t believe how you can offer such a hotel on your portal?! Both rooms were prepaid! Of course we checked out again after 5 minutes stay. I really would appreciate if you could charge us a part of our money back!!! Enclose you can find some pictures about that lovely place! Thank you so much in advance for your corporation! Worse experience ever”
My friends and me booked this hotel cuz a few year ago this hotel used to be an elegant hotel. Our flight was delayed as well as the ferry to island also delayed; on that day we arrived hotel it's almost 22.00hrs. Once we arrived the hotel we were really shocked; they didn't prepare for our check-in, the room not ready, they not even know that we gonna come even we have booked the room there. We were really tired and hungry, so we went to have dinner. When we came back to get the room; they informed us that 2 rooms that we booked are out of order (Flooded and leaking from heavy rain) so that upgrade us to the better room (1room with an extra mattress for triples). Again once we got up to the room; the room did not be cleaned, still dirty, linen set really dirty and stained. The way that they provide triple beds was really funny, seem like they just threw the mattress on the hall way that block the space to walk. Every time we take shower, water can not drain and it is really disgusting when we have to use bathroom. This place is really nightmare for us, seem like they never have maintenance since the beginning, lift can't use and look so scary, pool is so dirty, fitness look so funny; it's look like this hotel been abandoned for many year. Only one good thing of this place is the location but honestly u can find other hotels/ hostels/ guest houses that hundred times greater than this hotel with the same price or even cheaper in same area. We definitely not recommend this place to anybody on earth, don't talk about if we gonna come back here; hell no!!

This hotel was a big party hotel years ago .But is pretty well shutdown now My wife and I spoke with the guy in charge and he told us he had no staff and the place was up for sale . There is no bars no restaurant no wi fi no TV . We were not to worried because we were only there 3 nights and it was cheap for full moon party time .

Where to begin.... arrived and was shown to our room. the bathroom had to be hosed down because it was disgusting. The safe didnt work at all when i said it to the staff i was told "its ok they have cameras so nothing will go missing" the balcony door wouldnt open or close properly . we stayed there a week ago today and nyself and my brother are STILL having back problems because of the old beds with springs coming through the mattress. the whole place is disgusting broken and chipped walls the pool looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months, with flys and dirt floating all over it and sharp exposed tiles everywhere . The guy in reception was the most ignorant a**hole ive ever met in Thailand. If you interupted him while he was watching videos on his phone he would treat you like sh*t. In 3 nights stay our room wasnt cleaned once... And finally theres ladyboy staff members(who i have no problem with) sexually harrassing you constantly. whenever your near the pool or on the balcony you hear "I want to come to your room" every singe time. I wouldnt ever go near this place again. ive never gave a hotel a bad review before this is the worst place ive stayed

Horrible Hotel!!”
Rundown and outdated. The photos, amenities, and description on Agoda and the Drop In website are false!! There is no spa, no bar or restaurant on property (like the website says). No wifi!! This motel was probably amazing 10 years ago but it is horrible now. There was no running water for part of our stay and guests kept coming down to the lobby to tell the manager and he was screaming "no refunds! You wait!" Eventually he got the water running again. This motel is worth $8 a night and we paid $48!! Scam and rip off.

Unfortunately this hotel is not at all maintained and looks almost abandoned. The pictures are deceiving! The only positive is that the hotel is close to the full moon party beach, there are too many negative points and if your not even going to the full moon, forget it. - the room is dirty - do not even think to run you a bath, the water is green (the shower water is too but its less noticeable when not filling the bath) - the spa no longer exists and serves as warehouse storage - there is no wifi in the rooms (there is at reception though) - air conditioning did not work all the time for us because a rat was stuck inside (this is no joke, we turned it off - heard the rat break free and then it worked again - poor rat) - the main pool is out of use, and the other one really gives no desire to swim, there is a layer of foam from one too many pool parties - the hotel was fully booked when we were there (due to the full moon) and we didn't see a single person dare step foot into the mercy pool. In short, I do not recommend this hotel if you want to find a minimum of comfort and cleanliness.

Checking in was horrible. We had to fight to get a room to stay. Receptionist was refusing us for check in , he said minimum stay must be 2 nights and yes I agreed for that but not when I already paid for a night over Agoda. I had to call Agoda to let them deal with the receptionist and they let us stay. On top of all that, hotel is really old, need a huge renovation. Booking was included breakfast and there was nothing..!! It was really bad experience with Drop in..!! The only good is location.

Was here for FMP Oct. 17. Place is not bad, water smelled but thats typical in for this part of Thailand. But hotel was DEAD. Swaer we were the ony ines there. Could be because not a huge FMP as the king died shortly before. But there was necer anyone at the pool/bar. Something just felt off......

Definitely a great location for the full moon parties and meeting other young travelers but the room itself was discussing our bathroom was vile... Our front door had a huge opening / hole in it, and only 1 electricity plug worked. We stayed there for 8 nights which was far too long but if you're coming just for full moon party it's a great spot
