Value for Money”
Excellent hotel environment which is beautiful garden, water fall and birds as back ground sound, a lot of fish pond. All of those reflecting its hotel name. One thing is missing is Javanese music at lobby as an introduction to the culture, which I had enjoyed back then in 2015 when I stayed here. Breakfast was simple yet sufficient and I appreciate the tea cake provided every evening. Cleanliness was guaranteed as I can feel like I had entered a new room everyday and I love it. Staff were helpful. But I am query as my shaver was missing from the bath room the second day when I want to use it. I did ask the room boy but no feedback. Luckily there were 24hr convenient stores nearby so that I can buy cheap shaver.

Very pleasant garden hotel in a quiet neighborhood”
Duta Garden Hotel is located in a quit setting, off the main road, so you will not be disturbed by any traffic. The gardens are well kept and beuatiful. The pools are nice, good for an early morning swim, and they are never crowded, so it feels like your private pool. The semi-detached bungalow rooms with private terrace a spacious enough and sheltered from too direct sulight, and have comfortable beds. The restaurant serves a simple breakfast (nasi goreng and fruits) which taste very well. The food is not that warn anymore if you happen to arrive after 7am for breakfast though. Overall, since the lobby and restaurant are open, it feels very much like a spacious living room, not crowded with tourists, and gives you a feeling of being at home. The staff are very friendly and enjoy helping you. For all guests, tea is complementary every day and in the afternoon you are served a nice cake with your tea. The laundry service is excellent, everything is beautifully packed and returned the same day. The hotel is a 2 minute stroll away from nice restaurants and bars. That area is not too busy, thus very pleasant during the evenings. Duta Garden Hotel is a "tempat senang" which I recommend highly and would like to return to during my next trip to Yogjakarta.

Beautiful, nice, quiet, calm and simply serene.”
I had a great time in Yogyakarta for the second time after 9years. And it's also my second time staying in Duta Garden. The hotel changed a lot for the better. With the new wing having he villa and the old wing are still the perfectly clean same. The area is perfect. The pool is good after a long walked. Internet wifi connection superb! I've always love how gardenie the hotel looked and I would tap Duta Garden as one of the best boutique hotel around. The new reception area at the new wing gives me the impression of Java in the 18th century during the Dutch colony. With antiques decor everywhere! I'm a sucker for antiques and it's just awesome! My second time in Duta Garden still have the same experience of 9years ago. The service is always satisfactory. They are always polite - I guess it'l in them for being polite because the people of Jogja are so refine and that's one for the reason I came back - cakes for tea-time if you're in the room, daily towels changed, rooms made once you're out, the hotel area is always clean, no problem in the room and breakfast is good. The next road parallel to Duta Garden, which is Prawirotaman I, was once a dead street but now it has turned out to be busy with eateries, hotels, spas, antique shops, gift shops, bars and travel agents for travelers. Most of the eateries there are rated best in Yogyakarta on TripAdvisor. So where Duta Garden is located, you'll get the best of most things around the corner, all in the minutes of walk.

Wonderful Place to Stay in Yogya”
This was our first trip to Yogya, and just by reading the Lonely Planet, you have no idea how chaotic the area around Jalan Malioboro is. We picked Duta Garden based mostly off the wonderful reviews (and not location), but we were utterly thrilled with both. The hotel is one street away from Jalan Prawirotaman, which has many lovely shops and restaurants. It's a nice street to explore (perhaps a bit adjusted to Westerners) but you aren't harassed here like on Malioboro. The grounds of the hotel are BEAUTIFUL with 2 stunning swimming pools and many little waterfalls, streams and ponds filled with koi. The rooms aren't as exceptional as the grounds, but they are clean and well appointed. The staff was also very helpful in arranging transport for us to Borobudur, Prambanan and the airport. WILL go back!

DUTA GARDEN HOTEL, YOGYAKARTA, JAVA, INDONESIA”
As a female solo traveller it is important that I feel safe - and I did. Every night I ate at local restaurants on my own and was never pestered either en route or whilst eating. The location is ideal for me as I am over here buying goods to send back to Malaysia for sale in my Interior Design Shop in Penang. The ring road is close and that is where a lot of the 'antique' dealers have their outlets, along with carved wood producers and other interesting vendors. The area itself is full of little restaurants but it is the wrong side of town for easy access to Borobudur, which is probably the single most important reason for most tourists visiting Yogyakarta in the first place. The hotel is very pretty with an irregular shaped pool and lush vegetation. The rooms are arranged in four buildings with two storeys each and they are perfectly adequate, all having either a small patio if they are on the ground floor, or a balcony on the first floor. Normal things, like shampoo and tooth paste are provided. The restaurant is open on three sides and charming. The menu is reasonable but you have to give one hour's notice if you want something to eat other than breakfast which is served between 06:00 and 10:00. The downside for my visit was that the advertised WIFI was just not working and furthermore nobody seemed to know when it might start! In fact speaking to the staff, it seemed that even when it was on it is a bit 'hit and miss'. I really need access to the internet and my emails, so I had no choice but to tell them that I would not be able to stay. Luckily the little group has three situations all very close to one another and so I was able to transfer to the Duta Hotel, which is slightly cheaper, being a little bit more basic, but frankly almost as pretty and just around the corner. The other downside to the Duta Garden is that the TV in the rooms has only local channels - and the Duta Hotel does have HBO and occasional English speaking news. The pool at the Duta Gar

Great home-feel like type of Hotel”
The Duta Garden Hotel pictures you see from Agoda is nothing compare to when you actually there. The design of the hotel, or I should say, Vila, gave you the sense of home-feel. The staff, first of all, was so friendly. You will likely to meet this one guy I forgot to take his name, but he always around the receptionist and/or dining area simply to just meet and talk to the guests. Ask him about Yogya, where to go around, and to some places most people not aware of, he knew. The breakfast was good. They serve Indonesian menu and international as in Cereal, scramble egg, and/or toasts (breakfast menu not most Indonesian have; yep, our breakfast was heavy with rice and its friends). Oh, they put this giant ad about the Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan. You will hear people might not really suggest to go there but I did anyway, and boy I wish I could stay for another 3-4 nights to follow their next episodes. So they have one night that they play full stories of 2 hours or so, and another night when they only play each episode a night for a total of 4 episodes/4 nights. NOTE: PLEASE DO READ THE STORY BEFOREHAND. Most people who said the show was boring, was because they didn't know the story and they lost the entire event. Because, they tell the story with their movement, ONLY. You can RSVP via the hotel and they will take you there as well. Overall, stay at this place! You will have a pleasant time for sure.

Friendly atmosphere and wonderful setting.”
We spent 5 nights at Duta Gardens and loved every moment. The lush garden setting with the many water features is truly beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location is convenient with a short walk to shops, tour operators and affordable restaurants. Taxi fares to the city centre were about Idr 30,000. Whilst our room lacked a mini fridge or room safe, it was otherwise of a 3 star standard and the setting, in our opinion, could add another half star. A strong box was available at reception. The buffet style breakfast was adequate though the choice was limited, whilst the lunch/dinner menu was adequate, with prices reasonable. Overall we would rate Duta Garden as very good value for money and would definitely stay there again if we ever returned to Yogya.

Best hotel in Prawirotaman!”
We stayed at Duta Garden for 6 nights and we were really happy with our choice from internet. We had chosen this hotel because the settings were looking very good on the website and we were not disappointed. The room was very comfortable and mainly the whole resort is in a very nice natural environment, with small water streams, fish ponds and waterfalls in the middle of a very luxurious and neatly cared for garden. It's really peaceful and relaxing and perfectly located walking distance from Prawirotaman street where there are many nice restaurants, laundry, ATM's, massages and other facilities.

Paradise”
Just round the corner from the buzzling street, a lush garden w. pools, waterfall and rooms with private terrasse offering great privacy. We really liked the way this hotel is designed and would have liked to stay longer. Very polite and helpful staff in Duta Garden and Duta Hotel. Prawirotaman street is just a few minutes walk with all the restaurants, shops and travel agencies!

It is a quiet paradise in the heart of Yogya”
we spent a full week in the hotel, because we loved it so much. They have 2 areas, both with very nice garden and a pool surrounded by the bungalows. we stayed in the one with the cheaper rooms. It was phantastic, very comfortable bed, very clean, the stuff was super great and even bought some young coconuts for us somewhere in the city when we were sick in bed for 2 days. The bathroom though are quite old and need a renovation. however, there was enough hot water and they are even part open air what we liked. we could visit the more expensive bungalow rooms in the other part of the hotel and they are really worth the higher price. beautiful bathroom and very nice room. we also liked the pool there better, so we went to their pool, not to the one in our part, but that was ok :) next time we come to yogya, we book one of these rooms, but they are all recommended. Breakfast was good standard for the price. the location is not near the shopping street of maliboro, but we chose so, because we like it quiet. however, the Kraton and the water castle are nearby and also a "tourist area" where you find a lot of travel agencies and restaurants and a great ice cream store. some batik fabrics are also close. nice area to walk around :)

Great stay at Duta Garden Hotel”
We had a great time at the Duta Garden Hotel in July 2017. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the pool at the end of each day of exploring Yogya. The location was great - set on either side of a lane and away from loud traffic. The rooms were clean, and while we didn't have hot water in the shower, we didn't particularly mind.

A Gem of a find”
I have generally been disappointed with my return visits to Asia to0 places I worked and lived over a period of 35+ years. Everything has changed so much that there is little of the old charm in the new. The Duta Garden renewed my optimism that some of the old Asia still exists. I enjoyed just sitting on my lanai listening to the water cascading over the rocks or the monsoon downpour turn the sky black. Highly recommended if one wants a taste of the old that is quite comfortable.

Seeing ArtJogja”
We stayed at Duta Garden because my husband had been there two years ago and liked it for the ambience, gardens, fish ponds. Location for visiting galleries and artists' studios couldn't have been better. Right in the middle of the city, we were able to easily visit a number of places everyday.

Beautiful garden and helpful and friendly staff”
Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Clean as a whistle with wonderful staff. The gardens are amazing complete with waterfalls fish ponds and an excellent pool, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was simple but good. Had to stay in Jogja for an extra three days and was offered a discount. Checked out some other hotels in the area but it was a no brainer. Front of house staff spoke excellent English and were chatty and smiling. Made to feel very much at home and nothing was too much trouble. Although a few kilometres from the city centre, taxi fare was less than $2 and the hotel would arrange a metred taxi upon request. Waited no more than five minutes for a car. The hotel also arranges transport to places of interest at reasonable prices with no hard sell. Room was large, clean and well designed. Cannot fault this hotel.

Hidden Gem In Town”
This is the best hotel out of 4 I stay in Yogyakarta with my family members. Clean & large room, summing pool & nice landscape garden, nice helpful staff, 3 mins walking distance to Prawirotamam Street (Restaurants / Pubs / Tourist Agency / Car or Motorcycle rental etc), 10 mins to Tamingsari (Water Castle), 20 mins to Kraton (Sultan Palace) & 30 mins to Malioboro Street.
