This fasility is good, they have pools, lift, AC and also serving simple breakfast. The staff is very nice and quick response. The rooftop view is good as we can see mount Merapi. I am absolutley will come back and stay at Edu Hostel again. Thanks

It was an unplanned visit to Jogja. Found this hostel through Agoda. The room looked spacious and clean from the photos and it's actually real. The place is huge and modern. I booked 3 nights there. I arrived with Grabike late at night and the reception was still open. The lobby is huge where you can find desktop free for use, toilet, musollah and smoking zone. During registration, they'll need your passport and IDR50K for card deposit. They'll give you door card, breakfast coupons, a small towel and a blanket. They sell basic amenities with cheap prices as well and drinks. You also can rent a bike from the hostel. The 6 bed dormitory room I booked is not cramppy. Each room has a toilet with bidet and a shower. There's a free locker for each guest and that's where the power plug is if you wanna charge your phone. The room is equipped with AC but it's not strong enough during the day. But Yogyakarta isn't that hot during the day (if compared to Bangkok). For this cheap room, you'll get a simple, free breakfast every morning. The menu is changed everday and if you're a toast person, then you can order it for free the day before. You also can order a few other things later for a small amount of money. There's a new and cozy bar that serves local and western food. It's a nice place to hangout and smoke. This hostel is usually full with local travellers. If you like to know more Indonesian culture and interact more with the local you should come here.

Edu hostel is actually a backpacker lounge, located strategically near to attractions Yogya Kraton and the most happening street Malioboro. We group of 4 stay in a private room with a double bed double decker bed. You will be surprise to see the design of the double decker, as the ladder/staircase that attach to it is awesome. The room is clean and tidy, with 2 bathroom available, very convenient if you are traveling with group of large. One thing missing is the hair dryer, even we ask the counter staff but they apologized for not able to provide. In overall, Edu Hostel is a worth value stay. I wish we could have spend more nights with Edu hostel

I stayed in EDU hostel for 4 nights and had a great time. The place is packed with backpackers so there is always somebody to talk to and share travelling experience. They have very decent wi-fi (in common area only) as well as a few on-line stations installed for people who don't travel with own computers. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm which was very comfortable, air conned, with 2 shared shower cubicals and 1 shared toilet. Every bed gets a big free locker as well. The staff was really friendly and attentive and helped me to organise my trips around Yogyakarta and my forward travel to Bromo. Overall very nice place, I can strongly recommend it!!!

I never disappoint staying my stay in Edu Hostel. Value for money, really recommend. Every time I went to Yogya, always spending my stay here. Since no complain and complete basic needs more than you expected. So recommended for everyone who will be staying and spending night at Yogyakarta. Keep positive always and nice place to stay

first time i was thinking that no special for edu hostel because of "hostel" status. then i went there, i seen so many rooms are there wich the rooms is very clean, have a good interior, unique, and good bed also bath room. edu hostel have some room for backpacker and for family. if u're backpacker with midle budget, edu hostel is a prefect choice for u. why?? because pc & wifi is there. important for u for find the next destination of ur trip. also there is have a good rooftop wich u can get a good picture too.. ^_^

Value for your money”
It was pleasant stay at the EDU hostel. Value for your money and suitable for backpackers. Easy to find food. There is 'Nasi Padang" restaurant which provide good and cheap food just beside the hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be stay here if i come back to Jogja.

When 1st entering the room it was not budget hostel at all, the room is clean, spacious as well as the toilet/bathroom. The staffs were great, i can get early check in. Facilities provided were also amazing.Anywhere to stay in Jogja ? EDU is my 1st choice

Good price, location and great staff”
Stayed with a group here. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what to do in and around jogja. Great value for the price. only downside to consider is that EDU seems to cater to large tour groups (school groups or local large busloads of a tour group) which if you are traveling by yourself may make it difficult to meet other travelers, at least on the week-end.

Comfy and worth it”
If you're travelling as a group, it's definitely worth it to stay at Edu Hostel. It's affordable, room was simple and neat, breakfast was not bad (even though there are not many choices but the food tastes fine). Staffs were friendly and they gave us good recommendations when we asked them stuff.
