Absolutely delightful. The staff are the friendliest people I have met in all my travels, and they are ever so willing to make your stay a comfortable and homely one. They know everything you could possibly want to know about Liverpool, and will do their best to cater for your every need. Very impressed and will most certainly be returning.

cheap but not really”

it was the cheapest available accommodation at the time we made our booking. we have been to other hostels but Embassie Backpackers has no lockers and the room lock was not working so we felt a bit unsafe and uneasy considering that they have this big sign that we should not keep any valuables in the room as they will not be held liable. but i mean, there's no way to secure your belongings. we also had to share 1 toilet and 2 shower rooms amongst 12 of us (at least as there was only 1 toilet & shower room for our room of 12 plus 2 other rooms in our floor). the staffs were also clueless on how to properly run things so we had to go up and down from the ground to the third floor twice trying to figure out the locker system (which didn't work in the end). there was no towel in the bed. you have to guess which amongst the pile of towels in the shower is clean.

Quite a long walk from the lime station but the place is good. Maybe for a night or two would be great if you have other options. Room is big but occupied by bunk beds, the toilet is only one and also one shower for the whole floor. The wifi is good. The staff is good

Decent value, but not up to standard”

I booked the cheapest value room for 7 nights, and got a clean twin-size mattress, with pillow and sheets. However, I would not recommend staying in such a dorm room, as there were 2 others, and they were snoring loudly. Thank you so much for the free tea and coffee! ☺

The worst hostel in Liverpool”

Bad location. You have to walk 20~30mins from the downtown. Not enough lockers and bathrooms. The number of power outlets is less than the number of beds. Of course, there's no light for each bed.

Great people and atmosphere, location site for shoots, but not so clean”

The people and atmosphere are just awesome! Excellent hospitality by owners, not at all business minded, and you can chat for hours with hostelmates on The Beatles and football, in front of the fireplace. A varied spread of breakfast for the whole day. The rooms are airy and spacious, but the toilets need to be cleaner. The bunk beds are shaky and squeaky. Otherwise great!
