Needs updating but great value”
Outside needs upgrading but the area is enormous so realise it's a major job. Smell of sewage in reception was awful - it was there for at least an hour. Bar and dining room have no ambience but not overpriced. Fajitas were excellent. Pool and gym were good. Towel rail did not work so couldn't dry my swimsuit. The window catch was broken so it was possible to totally open up the window which was dangerous - room 210. Corridors are hideous colour, one lift was broken so we used fire escape which was off putting. BUT it is value for money, restaurant food was low priced and plentiful, and gym and pool were great to use. For an overnight before flying out of Glasgow it was okay but needs tlc. Our biggest issue was Agoda got our booking wrong so we didn't get breakfast that we paid for but hope to sort this out and it wasn't the hotels fault. I went for a swim and partner went on the spin bike instead.

Great Location”
All the staff were very friendly, excellent value for money. Great place to stay if you want to visit Loch or Ben Lomond and Glasgow. Fantastic "Scottish Breakfast.' The staff always went out of their way to help. The corridors and lift need updating tho'. But a great place to stay.

Excellent holidays hotel ”
The setting is one of relax holiday resort hotel. Room and bathroom are spacious, bed is comfortable, linen & towels are clean. There is indoor heated pool and gym. Free Carpark. Very ideal for family holiday. Plenty of space for kids. There is one pub and one family restaurant. It is around 15-20 min drive from city of Glasgow

Friendly, clean accommodation ”
Stayed for two nights on business as a key worker during lockdown. The hotel was quiet during my stay. The staff were excellent - welcoming, friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, although there were a few signs of wear and tear, but nothing that stopped me from having a comfortable stay and good nights sleep. The restaurant was limited to guests only and maybe running a more limited menu under lockdown, but there was a good range of choices, including vegetarian dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed my meals on both nights of my stay - food was prepared from scratch, tasty and a good portion size. Serving staff were great. I’d certainly stay here again if I was working in the area.

Great hotel and facilities”
spotless room so well done housekeeping. Reception ok, but no voluntary information regarding the facilities of the hotel. No information book regarding the hotels facilities in the room. Tea tray provided but no teaspoon. Had to use a pen to take the tea bag out and stir the tea!!!! loved the swimming pool and gym and staff here ok, all chatting when we came into the gym and no one asked if we needed any help. we just wanted to look around and come and use the facilities later!!! All these things would not stop me from staying again as all can be improved. The worst part of our stay was the breakast. Stood waiting to be shown to the table at 8am (very quiet in restaurant) eventually a member of staff appeared. tea/coffee ordered but was forgotten. no pastries, no beans, scrambled egg looked yuk and staff not around. guests waiting to be seated in an empty restaurant that is self service with 2 staff on!!!!! thats very poor service indeed. one staff was too busy doing what looked like paperwork than seeing to guests. its 8am!!! food needs replenishing. there was a few tables that needed clearing, gusets need looking after!!! pretty poor in my opinion. i work in a restaurant and i can assure you i could do this job single handed, with a clean and tidy restaurant and food items replenished. i could understand if the place was busy. customer service needs attention. The music in the restaurant was too loud too and not appropriate music for that time of the morning. staff need some extra training in customer service.

Family event”
We had booked this hotel as a family wedding was being held there. Everything went well with our stay. Hotel was clean, food was lovely and staff very attentive. Only negative thing was that the bar prices are really exspensive

Budget hotel, not as good as expected”
My friend and I went for a spa weekend, knowing we had a tight budget. The facilities had recently been renovated and as a result the pool was too cold and unmanned, the gym very, very small and disappointing, the sauna not working because it requires being monitored by staff that are not present. I would recommend the restaurant as the food was very good. The room was pretty basic, hair dryer broken, phone line crackling and cutting out. TV had 4 working channels. I've been in better hotels for cheaper.

Staff were lovely”
Stayed here for a nearby wedding. Rooms were clean (a little on the chilly side though) and the pool/gym facilities were great! The staff were really friendly and helpful and brought up a heater when we mentioned the cold room, and booked us a taxi to the airport on the morning we checked out.

Tired and tatty ”
This hotel was below the standards I was expecting from other reviews I had read and from pictures you can see of the hotel .... It is in desperate need of modernization and general maintenance issues such as missing lift buttons, dirty lampshades and holes in walls made mevfeel that the hotel was misleading its customers by selling itself as a 3* hotel and spa.

Really did enjoy our night here there's only a few complaints . Firstly the look from the outside (but not much can be done there) Secondly the bedrooms are far too hot and I love the heat. Windows shouldnt be screwed shut. It was like sleeping abroad with no air con in high season. Slept in a standard bedroom mattresses are very thin but actually ok to lie on. Room was spotless ! It's just the finishing touches that all need fixed or replaced but for what we paid its well worth it. Bar is very expensive so this is where they must make their money . Would def stay again as a cheap night away .

Went to the movie theme night and ot was grt. Meal was lovely lentil soup then chicken breast gravy mash n veg then a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake thatwas to die for!!! Rooms are very spacous bed very comfy. Bathroom was really nice... Defo would stay again.

Lovely budget accommodation”
Tidy rooms,lovely bedding and towels and we didnt need to bring our own towels for the pool as they were provided. Restaurant had lovely food but thought it a bit expensive,we will be back but with a car as we had nowhere to go and explore on foot

Interesting, due to fire evacuation ”
Our stay was full of disruption, to fire evacuation, another guest given access to our room while we are in room. Was quiet and restaurant staff very friendly.
