beautiful escape”
This was our return visit to Koh Lanta because we loved its peaceful beauty. We stayed at freedom hotel firstly and escape cabins on our return. Staying at Escape Cabins gave us much better access to the busier shopping areas and also Saladan Pier. It was a great base, set back just off the main road making it a very peaceful location. The grounds were immaculate and had a beautiful view of the mountains behind the appartment. It was extremely clean and had a great shower/toilet room. I would reccomemd anyone stay here as it is great location and value for money. My only criticism would be that the kitchen area needed a little more equipment. Not in terms of cutlery and plates etc and it did have a microwave and kettle but it needed a little gas cooker and toaster and this would have made it complete as a self service cabin. It had more than enough space in the room to accomodate for an extra worktop and equipment. This did not take away from tbe fact that it is a great place to stay.

Perfect place to relax!”
We have spent seven nights in Koh Lanta which was the main part of our two-weeks-trip to Thailand. In a nutshell, Escape Cabins really contrituted to a great holiday and is definitively a reason for us to come back to Lanta. Pros: - Escape Cabins is run by Yuko who is very service-oriented and helpful in any kind of matter (this holds true for her staff as well). She easily and quickly organized tours, motor-bike rentals, laundry service etc. for us. - The bungalows are clean and comfortable with high-quality mattrasses. - Neat garden an pool-area in a quiet sourroundings. - Breakfast is served in an cozy Thai restaurant (Krua Kritsana)down the road (2 minutes walk). Food is excellent and prices are low, which is why the place can be crowded in the evening. Cons: - not really.

wonderful little hotel”
this is a small hotel with 8 cabins and they are beautifully decorated. the garden is beautiful with a small pool and each cabin has a view towards the garden/pool. the owner speaks english perfectly and she is so nice and helpful. it is a 5 minutes walk to the beach and there are some restaurants down at the main road (one minute walk). but if you want to do some shopping, you have to go to the town, saladan. if you want to go around the island you should rent a scooter since there are no buses. a tuk-tuk to saladan costs fifty baht per person. there is no restaurant at the hotel, but you get tickets for breakfast at a nearby restaurant. for this reason, we have rated the food average (it does not belong to the hotel). the rooms are very clean and have everything you could ask for. the beds are a little bit hard as always in asia (for western people). we loved this place and would definitely stay here again if we go back to koh lanta. we can certainly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful days at Escape Cabins”
We had five nights at Escape Cabins. The location is super nice. You can absolutely relax there and have a great time at Koh Lanta. The staff is very friendly. They helped us a lot regarding some trips. To the beach you have to walk around 5 minutes. There are a lot of nice restaurants around, were you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was very clean and stylish. I can absolutely recommend it and would book it again at any time.

Very cheap for the quality”
As a solo traveler working at the same time online, i was looking for a comfortable place with a good internet connection. Escape cabins was just perfect for that... so good that i stayed 2 months ! Yuko, the owner, makes everything to make your stay perfect. The place is very cheap for the comfort you have. Every houses are equipped with a fridge, kettle, some have a kitchen. There is a swimming-pool which will fit families. Also the place is quiet because not directly on the beach or the main road. The restaurants near are good and cheap and the beach is a 5 minutes walk. You can also enjoy the gym just near. I would highly recommend to hire a motorbike if you want to be free, which is absolutely not dangerous on ko lanta. Yuko can have a good daily rate for you. Don't go directly to a motorbike rental! Overall i liked the honesty of the owner.

Lovely private resort in Long Beach, Ko Lanta”
We first booked our stay for 4 days but loved it so much that we decided to extended it for another 3. It is a very nice resort, well designed with spacious and clean bungalows and a nice swimming pool. It is a bit away from the main road, so it ideal if you are looking for some privacy. The owner is really great, very helpful and cared for the satisfaction of her guests. We very much enjoyed our experience at the Escape Cabins and would recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Lanta.

my wife and i arrived to escape cabins after a long day's travel, having booked a room through agoda sight unseen. yuko, the owner and manager, waited patiently until our arrival without even knowing the hour of our check-in, and welcomed us with a smile. within the first 30 minutes of our stay, she had already helped us arrange accommodation for the next few nights, booked us a motorbike, and made recommendations for nearby restaurants which would appeal to both a thai and foreign taste. the rooms themselves are adorable, very clean, and very modern. although we didn't take much advantage of them, having satellite television and a dvd player were an unexpected bonus. all in all, the price met the product and we would definitely recommend escape cabins to friends and strangers alike. thanks!

A laid back place close to the beach”
Ko Lanta has a whole variety of places, from backpacker hostels to luxury resorts and Escape Cabins is somewhere in the middle. Although it is not directly on the beach, it is only about a 5 minute walk to the beach and beachfront restaurants. The cabins themselves are nice and spacious and the hotel grounds are well looked after. It's a small property which means that the staff have time to cater to your needs while you are there.

Perfect stay in beautiful surroundings”
we initially booked 2 nights at escape cabins, but only after half an hour we decided to book an extra night. our room (bungalow) was very modern, clean and tastefully decorated. the bathroom is equipped according to western standards and every room has a fridge, water cooker, a/c, dvd and tv facilities (a collection of dvd's is available at the reception). escape cabins has a nice pool and you can rent scooters to explore the island. the owner and her staff are always available to give you advise and arrange practicalities. across the road is mini-market and very good restaurant. in sum: a perfect place to stay and highly recommendable for those who are looking for a quiet place with a personal touch!

Must be one of the best deals on Koh Lanta...”
The huts are so nice and for that price it's a steal! The cabins are not located at the beach, but the place has a nice pool, and if you rent a scooter, you can pretty much go everywhere within 20min. Just look around a you could be the only people on a big lonely beach! The owner of the place is sweet she helped us a lot. Don't forget to go to the restaurant just across the street from the hotel, it's gotta be the best food on Koh Lanta! The name was something with Kristina...

friendly, quiet, nice”
We really enjoyed it. We had booked the cheapest room but the water kept cutting out...not the fault of the owner but she changed our room and it made us so happy! The new room was right next to the pool and the room was perfect. We got our laundry done there. We enjoyed it. The only downside was the breakfast restaurant...it is not at the cabins but you get vouchers for a free breakfast at a restaurant across the street. but it is filthy....ants everywhere and a buzillion flies. i think the owner of escape has a big business opportunity if she built a little kitchen and dining area which was air conditioned and ant free. however the cabins are well recommended. there is a pool or a 5 minute walk to the sea and beautiful beaches.

Amazing, highly recommend”
highly recommend. we booked the smallest room on agoda during the low season and the owner upgraded us to the biggest bungalow when we checked in. the grounds and rooms are beautifully designed and immaculately maintained, beds are super comfy. location is great, nestled below hills, giving you a beautiful view. location is on north side of the island, a little further from most of the resorts, but there are some tasty restaurants nearby and you'll probably want a motorbike regardless of where you stay. we have been doing budget traveling (about $ usd/night) and escape cabins has been by far the best place we've stayed (partly due to the upgrade, i'm sure, but still...) and we keep joking that it's ruined all our other hotels for us

Home away from home”
We booked Escape Cabins for 4 nights and felt so pleased with the accommodation once we arrived. Yuko (the owner) has really thought of all the things travellers need / want to have a comfortable stay and a great holiday. Location was great if you don't mind crossing the street and walking 5 mins to the beach. The cable TV in the rooms was a great bonus and the air con worked perfectly. Staff on hand to help with scooter rentals and tours. Internet worked very well and Yuko provided a free pick up from the Pier for us.

Amazing value for money and great accommodation ”
Cannot recommend this place enough. We were skeptical as it was 3 star but absolutely cannot recommend enough, especially value for money. Treated wonderfully by reception who helped us rent scooter and book our travel out of Koh lanta. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and had all the is required. Location is about 50m off main road so it is lovely and peaceful yet 2 mins walk to amazing resuatants and beach. Amazing western restaurant called The Tavern nearby & a lovely spa and amazing Thai restaurants. INCREDIBLE value for money on whole island and only Regret was that we were not there longer. Would go back in a heartbeat

OMG OMG OMG.... I was so glad to having booked ESCAPE CABINS. Champion place. Love the room. Love the staff (Mai is her name). Just didnt get the chance to meet Yuko. I met all her cats. Even let them into the room to play. The pregnant cat. The white boy. The Grey Bob, that's what we called them. Owh, we stayed at one of the artist's rooms. Spacious. Just the complimentary drinking water tastes off. Should hire other mineral water co. Tastes normal. Thanks to all.

Chic cabins 5 min from the beach”
We had a very nice stay at Escape Cabins for a girls-getaway beach holiday. The cabins are very clean and comfortably equipped with air-con, mini-fridge, satallite TV, DVD player, and a hot water shower. The grounds are lovely and peaceful with a small swimming pool, and the beach is a 5 min walk away. The staff were excellent and booked us a snorkelling day trip and transport.

Secluded, gardens, all facilities”
Wonderful get-away yet close to beach and a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from some top eating places. The resort organised our full English breakfast at the great Thai restaurant across the road. Top Stuff. Relaxed and peaceful resort which was a nice break fron the beachside hotels. Half-a-dozen cabins scattered in the gardens and around the friendly clean pool. You can plan any of the island recreational activities thru the helpful proprietor ( she has great Endlish, French and Japanese ). We will be happy to stay again next year.
