Best affordable stay with best view”
I would recommend First Villa for the stay in Koh Phangan. It is near to the pier, property is very well maintained and the view from there is pretty amazing. The food served food in their restaurant is really good. They took our special request of food as well. The rooms are quite affordable and best in class. Also, I must tell that the receptionist and the owner are super super helpful.

I've stopped at 5 different hotels on this island and this hotel was certainly the best. Obviously, you can find better, but for the price you pay it's perfect!

Perfect beach relaxation”
The proximity to the beach is fantastic. It’s a distance to go to the hotel like a 250m walk from main road. Good for relaxation time. It’s better to book room with beach view. Staff is very friendly. The hotel helps with all needed travel services such as booking of ferry and transport. Food prices of restaurant is reasonable and not over priced.

Got a separate little house to myself. Never saw another tourist. This is a nice resort on the beach with small pool. Great sunsets.

The blanket too thin”
The blanket they gave is too thin to us as just a piece of cloth.luckilly we found a bed sheet cover in the cabinet. They should give a thicker blanket. Place is near to the beach, a 10 mins walk distance to a food court as well. Staffs are nice and willing to help. A small pool is there, and beach chair is provided.

Out dated. ”
As I use my computer for work there were no 3 prong plugs in the room. No 3 prong plugs for charging. First day no hot water. Some people in our group never had hot water the 5 nights we stayed. It was ok, but not great.

Quiet beach front villas”
Right on the beach alongside other hotels, hostels and beach bars, short walk close to main road with 7eleven, nice cafes & restaurants and taxi routes easy to hail down. Staff friendly and helpful, room with air con & towels, hair dryer and umbrellas.

Comfortable. Had the feeling of being at home. ”
Getting to the villa was easy, for 100baht per person, the taxi drops you off at the main road which is less than a 10min ride from thong sala pier. Unfortunately the only thing we didn't like was that it was a dirt road that lead into the main lobby area and we had gone during rainy season which meant mud everywhere and also portholes. Otherwise as you approach the villa, the first impression is WOW. It is quaint and cosy and well worth the price. Food was pretty good and catered towards people who cannot tolerate spicy food. Quality of the food is good but a little pricey especially when you compare it to nearby hotels and restaurants but food just outside on the main road is quite easily available. The room is small but clean. Served its purpose well. The bathroom was quite a decent size and clean. My best feature was the in built safe which I noticed most budget hotels do not have. Next thing which this budget hotel had was a pool. It looked inviting but sadly we never got a chance to go in. The BEST part about this hotel is the staff....they are so friendly, so helpful. Provided us with any information we required be it renting a bike, booking a ferry ticket to Koh Samui or getting more information about diving. so friendly, she makes you feel at home. She will give you advice on what to do where to go and definitely is there to help you in any possible way. Truly we loved our stay there and recommend it highly.

lovely family run resort”
This resort is a family run place, located right on the beach on the western side of Koh Phangan island. It is about 15-20 minute taxi ride away from where the Full Moon Party is located, and about 10 minutes from Thong Sala Pier. We booked online after staying at a not-so-great place on the northern tip of the island after being coerced by a Thai travel agent. We were very pleased after arriving to see that the room was so big and clean and even offered a bathtub and not the usual Thai open style shower. The service was excellent as the resort is run by a wonderful family, and the food at the restaurant was very good too. A little pricey, but considering that you're eating right next to the coastline, it doesn't get any better. It is a bit of a walk to the main road (~3-5 min) and there's not too much in that area - mainly a couple of small Thai restaurants, one or 2 places for laundry, and a couple of massage places (all within 15 min walking on either side when you hit the main road). They also have a lovely pool!

apart from one windy day ,first villa is in the perfect location for a relaxing,peaceful break,only 3 minute motorbike or taxi ride from thongsala peir and main area of koh phangan,in the other direction ,about 20 minute motorbike or taxi ride is haad rinn beach ,home of the full moon party,p.s dont attempt motorbike ride when pissed,it is very steep windy road,get a taxi.First Villa is the best value for money accommodation on Koh Phangan,staff named BO BO best ive seen in 5 trips to Thailand

Relaxing, Fun, Great Place ”
First Villa is a great place to stay, it has a nice pool, a separate Jacuzzi and the ocean is right there. It's a rocky beach, but you can still just get into the water and have a blast. The rooms are really good and the staff are equally helpful. Boo Boo was a real treat and helped us with everything. Will definitely recommend First Villa to anybody travelling to Koh Phangan.

Lovely Stay! ”
My boyfriend and I had been traveling for a month in Thailand before staying at first villa. It had the best service by far! Such a lovely staff. The food was priced averagely. Everything we ordered was so nice that it made it worth paying that little extra. If you didn't want to leave the hotel, you really didn't have to. Everything you need is there, but we wanted to see other parts of the island. So, the friendly reception Bo Bo easily called here scooter lender whom arrived 15 mins later with a scooter. We stayed in a double small room. It was very basic but it was everything we needed. Wifi works in the rooms and the staff cleans every day for you. Highly recommend first villa to anyone looking for an easy holiday with genuine people.

Good rooms, beautiful location & wonderful staff”
For such a reasonable price I would reccomend this resort to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of Haad Rin and enjoy the tranquility of such a beautiful island without being miles away from the fun if you want it! I had a standard bungalow and it was much better than other 'standard' accomodation I've had in other parts of Thailand. The rooms are large, clean, and have air con, hot water, a fridge and importantly for me, a safe so you don't have to lug all your valuables about with you. Although saying that the resort is pretty secure anyway so not too much to worry about. It's been built in a semi-rustic looking way, which suits the area perfectly, but this is just asthetics - the structures are solid and well built. The view from the pool area straight out to the ocean is beautiful, and I enjoyed some of the most incredible sunsets I've ever seen, and amazing view of the night sky. The food and drink is a tiny bit expensive, but very well made and always up to par. Best of all, the staff are all fantastic - so friendly and welcoming, you'll feel like you've known them for years! After a long day travelling around the island I would highly reccomend an evening massage on the beach front sala with the sounds of the waves lapping at the shore - probably the most relaxing massage I've ever had in Thailand (and no wandering hands to worry about - just a proper massage!). I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Koh Pangnan.

Beachfront, friendly staff, awesome villas!”
First Villa was awesome! I got there early and asked if I could check-in. My villa was still being cleaned so they said I could stay in the little hut house (an upgrade) if I was willing to sacrifice having hot showers. Seeing this is Thailand and it's hot as hell, I was totally okay with it. Had this cool little hut house to myself with an awesome porch and double-sized bed. The staff were seriously awesome. If I needed to rent a scooter, they got someone. If I wanted a massage, they got someone. They just got someone for whatever you need. Their English is terrific and they're really funny too! When I go back to Koh Phangan, I'll probably stay here again!

Great pool, great service and central on Phangan ”
our over all stay at first villa was pretty good! the service was great with a quirky lil thai lady that worked the front desk-she made us smile the pool was amazing with such a great veiw! we booked a standard room which was very small with 2 single beds so we upgraded for an extra to a sea-view room with a balcony above the restaurant which was pretty nice. the beds were memorable as they were foam and much comfier than the usual thai hotel mattress's got great massages right on the beach. we ate at the restaurant once and it was nothing to talk about but all in all a great experience at the first villa i would stay here again if we were to go back to koh phangan!
